As of lately I have become extremely tiresome of the intense ignorance of the Team Seven Fandom. All in all, fandom in general is a complete mess to me, and always has been. Every fandom has their fantards that turn me off towards a certain liking. Such as, I couldn't stand Naruto x Sakura for the sheer fact of their fandom.
As for any opinion involving such things as couples, forget it. There is no talking to anyone anymore. People will ATTACK you if you dislike a certain pairing. There is no such thing as neutrality anymore, and when you claim it, you attack, as though it seems. And it's not fair to anyone. I dislike where the Naruto Fans have turned and where all the open minded people that I once knew have gone. This is the most frustrating thing that has happened since I dont know when.
Let me get a few things out that everyone should realize.
Just because Sasuke x Sakura is my OTP doesn't mean that I am not allowed to like Sasuke x Karin. Karin is my favorite female character and I will stick by that to the end, so if you are going to call me a traitor to the fandom, go right ahead, you are only making yourself look ignorant. Seeing that OTP means one true pair, for someone hating my liking towards another couple is very closed minded, and can't see that MAYBE, just maybe, I like crack couples. But there is no such thing as an in-betweener in the Team Seven Fandom anymore.
If I like Team Hebi, GTFO, I love Team Seven dearly, and everything about them, but Team Hebi is absolutely amazing in my eyes. No matter what you say, and how many times you tell me, you are not going to change my liking towards this Team. I believe that they are more than throw away characters that Kishimoto has come up with. To be honest, the reason I see that a lot of the Team Seven fandom is freaking out over this is because they are so developed and may actually stay together as a team. My god, is it so hard for someone to like different things?!
This is what irriates me the most. When people have to keep activity a low in fandom's because they are afraid of being ganged up on. That is wrong and inconsiderate. Everyone has their own opinion and for someone that is attacking another fan, that is bullshit. Seriously, do yourself a favor and open your eyes and your mind to what other people are thinking.
Just because Karin is my favorite character, doesn't mean that I dislike Sakura. Sakura in fact is another favorite character. Just because I like one character on a different team, NOT SIDE (I will develope what that means later), but on a different team, doesn't mean that I can't like another from another team. For that, it would be closed minded towards other characters.
As for Suigetsu x Karin. That, if there is more developement, could be my new OTP, something about it simply amazing. What I hear a million trillion times a day is, "How can you have an OTP of two characters that are simply plot devices?" Well here is your answer to that. Every character, minus Naruto, is a plot device. They are there simply to add to HIS story. And what makes everyone think that Kishimoto is just going to kill off the character that he has this late in the storyline. I believe that Masashi Kishimoto has had this entire thing planned from the beginning, in fact, according to a Shonen Jump interview with him, he said that he has done ALMOST everything he has had to do to the story, so why discard such developed characters surrounded by such mystery.
My gut feeling is that he wouldn't.
And hate me for that, and I will blow you away. Everyone has their own thoughts and are able to speak them freely, especially if this is the internet, and Gaia. Take it or leave this advice, no one likes to feel as if their thoughts aren't welcome.
The Team Seven fandom has become so out of whack that I myself have even stopped checking in on the fandoms that I have adored. And in that, its annoying and frustrating. Team Seven is indeed a great team, the main team, but don't get me wrong, people are allowed to like other teams, and only because its called 'Naruto' and Naruto happeneds to be on Team Seven, doesnt mean that other people can't like teams such as Hebi.
What I am trying to say is: For someone to sit there and hate Karin for admiring Sasuke and for that person to dislike a fan of her, as for any other character that may seem to 'oppose' Team Seven, is completely ignorant to anything other then their own selfish thoughts, and for those to make those fans feel unwelcome in such fandoms as 'Sasuke x Sakura' and any Team Seven guild.
I wrote this to rant, yes, and not only relieve whatever non-murderous actions I may hold back as of lately, but also to MAYBE make other fans of Team Hebi or Karin or maybe even Sasuke x Karin, feel as though they are not alone and to not totally give up on what they enjoy. Suigetsu x Karin, you like it, go right ahead, god bless you and have a nice night. Hell, if you like Sakura x Suigetsu, have fun with it. Naruto x Karin, haven't heard of that one, but it would be interesting.
If you are one of the many fans out there that are just being plain FANTARDS, please take this to heart and mind and just maybe sit and think about what I have said, and if you are one of the people that feel outcasted by those who find Team Seven to be the only team that is aloud to be liked above anything and everything, this is to show that you are not alone in this fandom struggle.
Something that I can't shake is, as I have said through out this essay, is the fact that fans of Naruto like myself, have a hard time liking more then on fandom. It's not sacreligious to like multiple things throughout a series.
My conclusion: I hate fantards. And I love Karin, and Suigetsu x Karin. I love Sasuke x Karin, and Sasuke x Sakura is still my OTP. Get over it, and learn to have an open mind.
