The trees came almost to the riverbank, but not quite, leaving a grassy, sandy area that led to the rocks along the clear, shining water. It was gorgeous out, the sunlight filtering down past the leaves to create dappled warm light, small fish sunning themselves just below the surface, and small birds tending to their nests.
Even the young woman, nude, nutmeg brown body wrapped in only what looked to be living vines, was gorgeous, picturesque, almost, if it wasn't for the way her back arched up like a cat's, in pain, a low moan coming from her parted lips. Almost whip-like thin scars covered her soft, healthy looking skin, and her white hair now had a silvery sheen to it, eyes an almost glowing instense navy blue.
Medeine.
Something was obviously wrong, something.... She was fighting. Her moan increased in volume and... Seemed to have a dual voice coming from her throat, one filled with power.
"Iam not finishedwithyou yet,"
Another cry of rage and pain and she shook her head hard, long, silky hair falling into her face, panting hard as her body finally stopped it's convulsions, and lying down to rest her body on the warm river rocks, face pressed against the stone, exhausted. For now, she was herself.
Whomever that was, anyway.

True enough as the sun cast its raise down upon the golden hair teen, Aurora was unsure if it had been a good idea to come back. The woods held some rather painful memories for him. Despite he had started speaking again, and even taking up the lute once more, it felt..almost like he was walking a very thin line between making peace with the past and falling back into despair.
Listening to the bird's sing their songs, he tried to push past it. There was a tranquility of the forest this time of year. He hoped to make good memories from now on. Striding forward he stooped under a overhang to hear the rocks shift under the sudden weight he put upon them. A river bank. He stood shiftined the bag on his shoulder as well the weight of hte lute on his back. He had returned to the habit of keeping it with him at all times and even a couple pages of sheet music to jot down anything that was inspiring.
Despite himself he hummed a tune he had long since tried to forget. But he couldn't help it...that song he created for Medeine...and now in the realm she often had come to call home... he wondered again what had happened to her, too many thoughts echoed in his head and he shook them away. Instead focusing on the spring that was running through.
His eyes traveled up the river watching a small pebble tumble through the current and his eyes caught sight of something..no..someone laying face down on the rocky surface of the river bank. Blue eyes widened in surprise and he dashed forward soaking the bottom cuffs of his jeans and shoes as he moved across the river he stopped and lowered his bag and lute to the ground before reaching down, shying at the last second before touching the figure.
It was obiously female, and was starkly nakid. Was she dead? "Miss?" he spoke quietly, his voice was almost back to normal now, only singing seemed to really show off how badly he needed to practice again. "Miss are you alright?" He asked a second time before laying a hand gently on her shoulder.

"...Mmmmn...?" She'd almost been asleep. The gorgeous woman looked quite a bit different, hair paler, less earthly, skin darker, but when she opened those blazing eyes and caught Aurora's gaze, it was clearly the girl from his past. Using an arm to push herself up, she seemed unconcerned with her nudity [something that echoed of the old Medeine] and blinked at him, almost in disbelief, before an amaze smile lit her face. Her tone was soft, raw from shouting and crying earlier, as well as the use of power, but it was warm.
"... Briar..."
Tanned fingers, with their trademark blue fingernails, gripped his shirt tightly, pulling him toward her, and on the rock, with surprising, inhuman strength. Medeine was more than the girl she had once been. Far more.

The look of shock that filled Aurora face could not be painted or captured on film. "Medeine?" He whispered back looking as if he had seen a ghost rather than this beauty in living flesh. Mentally he thought ironically that she was still nakid, but he pushed it back. When she grabbed his shirt he felt his body just move with her, the only resistance occuring when he had to shift his body to not cramp.
Aurora had always been an emotional one, tears welled in his eyes and dripped down his cheeks in a girlish fashion. But he was male, and his arms move around to embrace her tightly he buried his face into her hair taking in her scent and warmth.
By all means he should be angry, demand where she had been all this time. Ask why she broke her promise to him. But...he couldn't, it all seemed so trivial now. And childish. She was alive and that was all that mattered.
"'Deine your alive.....m..my god i was so afriad..." he whispered hoarsely into her hair.

"I missed you."
He was perfect. In that moment, there was nothing except for Aurora, and he was beautiful and perfect, and everything she wanted. Tilting her head back, the still-teen leaned up slightly and pressed her warm, wet mouth against Aurora's lips. After a lingering second she pulled away, closing her eyes and resting against him. Her voice was a husky mumble when she spoke, probably something he'd been waiting to hear for a long time. "You make me feel... safe."

The words Aurora had wanted to hear seemed to fill his heart and soul with hope and energy. The kiss only made him happier. He responded eagerly, enjoying the taste of her. And using a free hand he stroked Medeine's hair, he wanted more of her and yet couldn't figure out if it was an appropriate time. He did just find her laying face down in the forest. . .
"I missed...you too." He replied finalyl as he parted for air, he leaned his forhead against hers as if to make sure she wasn't about to dissapear on him again. "I...trie..d so hard..to find you." he went on as if trying to explain why he hadn't found her sooner, he felt like a terrible friend...though he hoped to be more to her than that.

"... Shh." A finger to his lips to quiet him, and Medeine sat up completely, running a hand through her silvery-blonde hair. Sliding away from him and into the water, she began to wade out until she reached the bank, glancing back to look at him, smiling at the sight. He'd grown up rather handsome. And masculine.
"Let us leave this place, Briar." Where would they go? SHe didn't really have a home other than the trees now.

Having her slip away from him was like her ripping a peice of his soul away. He hurriedly got up grabbing his pack in one hand and his lute in the other. Wide eyes fixed on the girl in front of him like a siren luring him onwards. He joined her in the river standing before her his breath still catching as if he couldn't breath properly. In truth he was expereincing the type of adrenaline that tended to lead to other things..
Wait...did she jsut say she wanted to leave? He looked back to where he had found her and then back to Medeine, unable to resist her eyes he then found himself looking at her ample boosom. he caught himself and flushed heavily, he then fumbeled around trying to unbutton his shirt so he could offer it to her.
"Y...ou should wear a shirt at least.." he said as he tried to not give her the wrong impression. "And..where did you want to go?" he asked as he slipped the pale green shirt over to her.

"... Oh." Medeine actually looked surprised as he handed the fabric to her, obviously having not registered that her nudity was inappropriate before now, and accepting it, sliding it over her body and buttoning. Aurora had gptten a lot taller, and now his shirt went to her mid-thigh. Reaching out her hand, she entwined her fingers with this, then shrugged fluidly, her blazing blue eyes telling him to take the lead.
"I do not know, Briar, why do you not tell me? Where are we going?"

Aurora was a bit slow, but soon gathered what she was hinting at. She wanted a safe place to go, and she felt safe around him, thusly...it only made sense to take her to his house. He idly hoped that his roomates weren't home...he wanted more alone time with medeine to ask about where she had been and what had happened to her.
Feeling her fingers, so slender intertwine with his own calloused hand he gave her a smile and nodded his head.
"Ok..I know where we can go.." he said as he gave another look at the opposite bank before nodding his head in enthusiasm. He wanted to get her there fast. Maybe she was hungry? He wasn't sure on what she could be eatingout here but she certianly didn't look underfed.
"this way.." he instructed leading the way back onto the bush trail and back towards his house.

Medeine didn't seem to have any reservations about following Aurora to wherever he was taking her and was pretty quiet, feeling a little at odds with leaving the forest that'd been her home for an incredibly long time. It only took them maybe twenty minutes to get there, with Medeine smiling a bit, simply glancing around as they reached the home. It was quiet. Empty.
"Where are we? Do you live here, Briar?"

Aurora nodded his head, reluntantly letting go of her hand to fetch his keys. He opened the door and let her go in first. "Yah, this was my mom's place before she moved out of town, she gathered I was old enough to live on my own I guess." he replied locking the door behind them once inside the hall. There was a faint scent of cinnamon, he liked to have the house smell ...clean or at least inviting somewhat.
"Kinnara and Aekepi have been staying on and off with me while...." he stopped not wanting to burden Medeine with his own problems... it had passed now.. "for a while.." he corrected himself lamely taking her hand and leading her towards the kitchen.
A simple hardwood table that seated four sat in the middle of the room to the right a door that lead to a small garden patio, to the left a hall that lead to the bedroom's, bathroom and living area.
"Are you hungery? i can make you something.." he offered as held onto her hand squeezing slightly for reassurance she wasn't an illusion.

"That is nice, I suppose." Her tone was a little distant, and her eyes roamed around the place. She liked it. She wasn't too sure about Aekepi and Kinnara though, that seemed an odd combination. Still, what's her living situation, and they weren't here now. At his question she blinked, gaze returning to him as she smiled. "Mmmn... not really."
Moving away from him she looked about some more, glancing at the cute patio, then wandering down the hall. "Are you going to give me a tour? I am actually a little sleepy..." It was a good thing she was heading toward the bedrooms, then, wasn't it?

Aurora wondered what she thought of everything. This was her first time to his place, and now he desperately wished he had some strawberries he could give her. Secretly he had been tending to a little patch of wild strawberry plants in the garden, but he hadn't checked them today. When she mentioned she was tired, and wanted a tour he smiled in his innocent fashion.
"Sure, I can take you straight to the bedroom if you want. My room is the biggest so if you wanted..." he trailed of realizing what it sounded like he was implying, his face went red again. His mind idly wondering if his mother had left anything in the way of protection if...things ended up that way, and his face only deepened in shade.
"uh...they are this way." he said trying to stop himself from blushing so heavily and knowing he was failing. He then lead Medeine down the hall, his bedroom was the second to last, and when he pushed the door open, it revealed a sliding glass door that had curtians drawn over them, a solid oak dresser with a mirror imbedded in the back, there was a noticble black stain on the top...from when Aurora had lost a bit of sanity and broken an ink well. True enough his hand still wasn't as fluid as he would like, but with practice he would get it better again.
And the center of it all was a large queen sized bed, half made as he hadn't bother to make his side in the morning.

Medeine didn't seem to think anything was wrong [she didn't have much experience with the teenage male, afterall] and nodded, following him into the room and moving past him to sit on the unmade side bed. Her eyes ran over Aurora once more, and a smile appeared on her face as she patted it. "You are very handsome, Briar. I love your new masculine appearance."
She was an honest girl.
