A loud deep-voiced dominating roar broke the silence of the forest that late lazy afternoon. The owner of the roar was an old archaic grump of a Nightmare Kitsusagi, and he was content to tend to his forest territory until now.
Somebody had been in it, defiling it... burning it. There could only be one who actively did that to his territory - and it meant that his hotheaded fire nemesis was back. He had beaten him here to the Realm, but...
This fact made Torvamund a very angry Nightmare to say the least. He raised his head, making another loud angry roar, and trudged off to go seek out the extent of the damage. If he ever caught up with that winged abomination... or anything like it... heads would roll.---- Meanwhile, a cheeky youthful firesprite bounded away from the forest and out into the plains area beyond, half-flying in his steps, laughing with glee. What a fun trick! It had been so long since he had aggitated that old grumpy Nightmare Kitsusagi that did nothing but dabble in his precious plantlife. It was fun to burn his work, and run away before he could be caught. Though, a few times in the past, he hadn't been so lucky...
Igniculus finally settled in a tree some distance away, bursting out into a fit of giggles. He fell out of the tree and landed down on his back, still howling with laughter. He hugged his sides and sat up again, wiping off his eyes - that grumpy old Nightmare was like an old man with his territory.
"Get off mah' properdy!" He yelled loudly, laughing again. "Rawrr!"

Morticia was making her way away from the HQ and towards the forest, not so nervous since Adjo decided to go along with her. She always liked and trusted the older male Nitemare and today seemed like a good day to go around and explore since she was officially an adult. She had filled out beautifully, her scrawniness gone and her own beauty now shining.

The loud angry roar continued to sound out from the forest area as Torvamund found 'ground zero', the place where Igniculus had launched his attack on the Nightmare's territory. A tree had been scorched beyond healing in the middle of a fire circle, and everything within was either burned to a crisp, or still smouldering and dying. The smell of burning wood was still in the air, and the Nightmare Kitsusagi began to dig the ground, burying what he could. He was sad for the plants that had died, but it only fuelled his anger and desire for revenge.
"I hate all you stupid winged creatures..." He rowled. "Just you wait..."

Igniculus was quick to bound to his feet, flaring his wings out to make himself look bigger. Fun was one thing, being attacked for it was another. He had heard movements in the area and it put him on high alert. His tall ears shifted left and right on his head, and he rose them high, listening for the source of the movement.
"Oh come on," He grinned finally, calling out the the noises, assuming Torvamund had already found him. "It wasn't that bad. You can grow it back. Besides, it was fun. Lighten up, you old grump. Okay?"
He looked all around him, becoming worried as he found nobody.
"Uh... okay?" A nervous chuckle escaped him. "Come on, come out into the open so I can see ya!"

Morty squeaked in fright when she and Adjo heard the roar and she pressed close to the larger male, shivering in fear. Adjo lowered his head and nuzzled her ears in comfort, growling at whoever was making such a noise. Then his large ears perked up when heard someone call for them to come out and he growled at Morty to stay where she was and he he stepped out to 'see' who was there, his tongue going fast as he took in the scent. It smelt like an Angelic, only he seemed....hot...

Igniculus froze.
Only for a few moments though. He rose his wings high above his head and stumbled back, purple eyes staring at the Nightmare that had stepped out into the open nearby. It didn't look like the green Nightmare he liked to torment, though...
"Hey there, hissy." He called out to Adjo, staring at him closely, wondering what he was up to. He wandered closer, feeling brave. He gave the Nightmare a big toothy grin and chuckled. "Oh, scared me there for a sec. You're not the plant-obsessed hissy guy. But you're one of those hissy things, aren't ya? You... one of his underlings or something?"

Adjo growled, but it was mostly in annoyance, "I am not a hissy, I am a Nitemare. And I am not anyone's underling. My name is Adjo. Now tell me something, are you the one that is making all that noise, you're freaking my friend out!" he said in a scolding manner.

Igniculus made a soft laughing sound, but it was more out of worry than anything. He moved closer to Adjo, standing in front of him now, although his wings were out, ready and willing to propel him away and to safety if need be. Adjo's teeth looked rather alarming...
"You sure look like a hissy to me. Those whisps on your back, bony maw, sharp killer teeth. Yep," He nodded. "You're a hissy alright. We'll make a deal here and now, right? Don't bite me, and I won't try to crunch you. Deal?"
"Sorry for freaking out your friend," He said slowly, wondering who this friend might be. "But uh... no, that rawring noise ain't me. It's another hissy. A really bad evil one. You should... probably get out of here."

Adjo figured this was probably the dumbest Angelic he had ever met and he decided not to get into an arguement over what he was. Figuring he was too dumb to do any harm to Morty, he turned her head and called over his shoulder for her to come out.
Morty pushed her way through the brush and flapped her wings to get any leaves from them as she made her way towards her Nitemare 'brother'. She finally saw who had called out from a few moments ago and she tucked herself closer to Adjo, almost shy and afraid of strangers.

Igniculus pinned his ears back, frowning as his warning wasn't heeded. He blinked as the Nightmare Kitsusagi called his friend out - and he turned his attention to the lady, tails wagging.
His thoughts on warning them were all forgotten now.
"Wow, hissy was hiding a cute chicca-boo!" He broadly grinned, showing off his best smile. "Don't worry, miss. I'll save you from the horrid evil that lurks in the forest!"

Morty was, of course, confused on how he spoke and she tucked herself closer to Adjo, whispering up to him, "Adjo...what's a chica-boo?" she asked, never having flirted before.
If he could, Adjo would have rolled his eyes at this male, "Nothing you need to worry about Morty." he whispered back. He then turned his head back in the direction of the male, "May I ask what your name is and how you seem to know this other Nitemare this is making all those noises." he asked.

"A chicca-boo is a sweet adorable lady!" Igniculus called over Adjo's voice, broadly grinning. He wagged his tails at the female, and combed a paw through his mowhawk, trying to fluff it up again.
"Er..." His grin faded again as Adjo spoke to him. "I'm the lord of the flame, the most awesome Angelic Kitsusagi ever!" He stood on his hinds, flaring out his wings, trying to appear majestic and proud. "Call me Igniculus."
"As for the guy in the forest..." He lowered his head, seeming unhappy. "Do not go in. There is an evil there that does not rest - ever. If it smells you out, it will kill you. It's killed many a Kitsu before, and in the heart of his domain you will find the bones of the fallen. I know him... from way back." He bit his lip, not wanting to talk about that too much. "But he's mad because I burned his plants. Once he catches you, he chokes you in them. He's really, really evil..."

Adjo and Morty listened silently as he listen, Adjo letting out a small snort when this new male called himself the best Angelic around, he knew better ones that didn't have as big a head. Morty blinked a bit when he mention he burned his plants, "I don't understand, why would you burn his plants?" she asked, tilting her head.

Igniculus bounded over to Morticia, reaching out to very lightly tap her nose. "Because first," He began. "The evil one will smack you in the face here, to knock you over."
He stepped back again, rising his paws above his head. "Next, he'll vine whip you over the head to knock you out. Then..." He began to pace around the girl, lowering his head, keeping his attention on her. "He'll wrap his vines all around your body - so tight you can't even move!" He shook his head, moving to stand in front of her again. "Then, finally, he'll wrap vines around your neck... and cut off your air supply until you die."
He lowered his head and ears, wings drooping. "It's... not very nice to experience. He's gotten many like that, some of my family even. I used to have a brother, but the Nightmare killed him. He even tried it on ME, once. But I got away." He raised his head, fire seeming to burn behind his eyes for a moment or two. "If I wasn't blessed with the flames, I'd probably be dead by now."

Morty slowly backed up when the male suddenly came upon her and she whimpered a bit as he described what the Nitemare would do. Adjo growled and put his body in front of Morty's so this male couldn't see her, "You must be as dumb as you sound, can't you hear your frightening her! And it's quite rude to touch someone you don't even know when you don't know their name!" he growled, his fangs bared.

Igniculus stumbled back in fright, thrusting his wings forwards in the move. "Aaaah!!" He yelped. "Get away from me, hissy! Don't you dare bite my wonderfulness!"
He stood on his hinds, flaring his wings out once more, panting hard, visibly afraid of Adjo.
"I'm sorry, but..." He shrugged, calming down somewhat. "The cute chicca asked a genuine question. And when a lovely lady wants to know, Igniculus delivers."
