Those daughters of hers were so lazy! Hasana had a very one-track mind, and that was the current path her mind had decided to stroll on down. On the other hand, if she had known what chaos the other three that had left were involved in, she'd have never let the remaining ones out of her sight.

But ignorance was bliss, as they say, and now a days her biggest concern was just getting her remaining, now adult (they grew up SO fast) daughters up and doing something.

It probably didn't make a lot of sense she didn't see any male good enough for her girls, yet still wanted them to find someone so she could have grandchildren eventually. You know, before she died.

The lioness sighed heavily and pawed at the meek stream of water in front of her. "So hot out," she mumbled to herself.

Boring, too...

It was funny how one could be born somewhere and then fall completely in love with some other place in the world. And that was what had happened to Vinaya. The pridelands had always been called "paradise" by others, but she wondered how that could be when this place seemed to fit that definition so much better. And to think, she'd be the one to help rule it someday!

Of course, thoughts like that made her uneasy. She always worried about being good enough, for she loved his place with all her young soul. She padded along through the trees, still not mastering the way of manuvering through them without getting wacked around by branches and leaves. But then, she was only here on short visists anyway....when did she have the time to learn it? Pushing past a very large fern that blocked her way she saw another lioness at a stream. "Oh! Excuse me," she murmured apollogetically.

Hasana's automatic response was, 'Don't worry about it.' She pushed that one away in favor of, "Nothing to be sorry for." Because, really, there wasn't. So she'd walked near her pawing at some water? It wasn't like the stream was her private property.

She observed the other female intently. Not full grown, she guessed, but not too young either. (Maybe in comparison to her. She felt old these days.) "I'm Hasana," she greeted. For the second time her paw hit the water.

Vinaya had feared she was intruding upon this lioness's privacy. She felt a bit better, however, at her comment. She had always been a bit of a worrisome girl. She bobbed her head in a slight bow of sorts, "Um...I'm Vinaya. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hasana." It was nice to meet someone else of the pride...even if it meant she felt a bit foolish for not having met her already. But, better late then never.

Hasana took her concern the wrong way. It didn't seem like anyone native to the pride would be this jumpy about such simply things. Didn't they have some sort of patrol for total strangers? Hm..

"Are you new here?" she instead asked, pawing at the water in front of her yet again.

"Well...not quite..." Vinaya shook her head, offering a small smile, "I've visited here since I was a child...I travel back and forth from the pridelands and this place." She didn't elaborate as to why she jumped between prides. She wasn't obviously to her situation, nor how strange it truely was, but she didn't keep it at the fore front of her mind, if she could help it. It often brought on self-doubt...
