Odin had left the jungle in quite a hurry, not enjoying the damp air. Little did he know that he would of rather stayed there. He had stumbled across the Graveyard, and though he didn't feel horror, he had deemed it something unearthly and unright, and thus scooted his way out of there as soon as possible. After his paws had found grass again, he had come across the Southlands. Though they were beautiful in his own right, he didn't quite feel at home here, and the jungle that he had left nagged him in the back of his mind.
He was perched in a tree, quite a large one at that, staring at the creatures below him as they went along with their lives. Preybeasts with their herds, felines with their families, birds with their flocks. It was as if the world was spinning without him, and he decided good for it. The tiny bit of bitterness in his heart told him to just let it happen, since it obviously didn't want to include him. He was quite happy lying here, thank you very much!
His eyes continued to scan the ground below him, picking up bits of humor in the actions of others. It did help to pass the time anyway, until it was time to hunt in the early evening.

Nimloth yawned hugely, hidden behind her screen of greenery. Could anything possibly be more boring than being forced to play the waiting game? It wasn't even as though her potential prey talked about or did anything interesting! All they seemed to care about was who had gotten eatten the day before or how many whelps someone else was bringing into the world.
Well, she conceeded to herself, perhaps that last was slightly interesting. Though only because it forced her to make a mental note to hunt up (quite literally) the new family once they were allowed out of their little hidey-holes.
The white leopard waited until the snacks were gone and then emerged from her hiding place, stretching and smirking to herself. Really, prey species were so silly when it came to the predators. If they couldn't be seen or scented it was like the little morsels forgot that predators even existed!

Odin's ears perked up as he caught sight of a while movement, and it definately wasn't of a preybeast. Strange, the cat seemed to appear out of no where; it much be on the hunt. Who hunted during the day, though? Perhaps it was out of Odin's laze, but he never bothered to hunt until the heat from the day passed. Obviously others were far less lazy then he was.
His eyes followed the movement, and it did seem that the cat's intentions were to hunt, or so it seemed. He was curious how well a white cat like him would do in afternoon sun, so he settled himself in to watch. Perhaps he could slide on over after a kill to see what was to be seen, and perhaps even sneak in a bite or two. Shouldn't sharing be the first rule in life?

Sniffing delicately at the air, Nimloth considered waiting a bit longer to hunt. The heat was oppressive and no prey in it's right mind would be out in it.
But she was hungry and impatient. Studying the ground, she found the path the chattering meals had taken and carefully followed. Perhaps she would be lucky and they'd lead her right to their den. Now wouldn't that be something...

Ugh, so slow!
Odin's attention was waning, but as he looked around, there really wasn't much else going on. The birds had seemed to notice that there was something going on, and most had fled, and those left milled around nervously. The elephants were on their way out, and the gazelle were just as stupid as ever, standing as if they feared nothing.
With a huff, he pulled himself up from his perch, sad to see it go. Maybe he would just wander off anyway. After a quick stretch, he lept down onto the ground, keeping himself low in the grasses as he did. Sure he might of made a little noise landing on the ground, but if he kept still the preybeasts that were left might just write it off as a snake and continue to graze. Then maybe he'd get a front seat to the show.

Eyes flicking back, Nimloth dismised the rustling grass sounds as inconsequential and turned her attention to the gazelle herd nearby. Not what she'd thought to track, but much handier than a couple of hares.
Slinking off to the side, she smiled as the wind carried their scent to her, but not the other way around. Really, this would be almost too easy. Crouching low, she wriggled closer and prepared to spring. With any luck, this hunt would be quick, clean and easy.
Then, she pounced, lunging out of cover and making for the nearest preybeast...

As Odin drew closer with every careful step, he noticed that this other white cat was a leopard, just like him. Pleasure filled his soul, for he would always prefer his own breed over those mangy lions. They never held the same grace and pride as leopards, indeed.
His head would pop out every once in a while, just to make sure that he was approaching the right area. He saw her burst out of the brush at a preybeast, but he had lowered his head again that he didn't know if the leopard had caught it or not. He depended on his ears, now, to pick up the noise of a beast dying, and the panting of a proud cat with it's kill under it's teeth.
His tail bobbed behind him as he drew closer and closer to his destination.

It had been a shorter hunt than the leopardess had expected. But in this one instance, the poor prey's stupidity and fright had worked in her favor, for after her lunge, the silly creature had tried to turn itself around in one place and had snagged a foot in a small hole.
Keeping her jaws locked around the stupid beast's throat, Nimloth waited patiently for it to suffocate and die. She couldn't abide the thought of eating something that was still even marginally alive. And a strange sense of guilty amusement prickled at the back of her mind. This hadn't been a hunt so much as a lucky accident that had kept the prey from fleeing.
Ah there, she thought as she felt the weak, fluttering heartbeat finally fade to nothing. A few more moments and she could begin eating without fear of the gazelle still being alive.

Odin had gotten close enough to notice that it was a leopard hunting. Interesting, and a pelaseant surprise. He felt a twing of pride, feeling a bit of kinship. He was proud of his race, sure, but white as well? Pleasure.
He slowed his crawl, swished his tail behind him, and popped his head back up in a much more comfortable and normal stance. He would approach calmly, slowly, so as if to not seem too demanding.
"A smooth dance," he complimented to the leopard, stopped where he was when he began to speak, a good stretch of land still seperating the two. He would wait to see if the other could eat all of it's meal before asking for a bite or two, out of respect of the catch. Well, the little respect that it held.

Nimloth jumped slightly, hackles rising when she spied the male leopard approaching. Releasing her grip on the gazelle's throat, she allowed only the tiniest growl of warning to escape. Still, he wasn't movign now and it ddin't look like he was about to try theivery.
Givign herself a shake, she stood and beckoned him closer with a flick of her head.
"Well, you have nice manners for a sneak," she spoke with a hint of amusement in her voice. "Don't know how long you've been hiding over there, don't really care. You look hungry enough and I suppose I have plenty to share without going without m'self. Come and eat."
Having said her piece, Nimloth hunkered down over her meal and began to tear at the tender flesh of the gazelle's belly.

Odin couldn't help but smirk at the leopard. Well, she certainly had that tonuge that Odin admired. She wasn't one that would roll over at the first sight or sound of anything. He kept where he was for a moment longer, watching her tear into the best parts of the gazelle. He didn't, couldn't mind; she was the one who caught it after all.
He lingered towards the leopard, watching her a bit warily to see if she would do anything hostile towards him getting near. Sure she invited him, but he had to make sure that she really meant it.
"I thank you for that offer, and will gladly take you up on it in a moment."
He still did not dip his head to take a bite yet, only offering her a small bow and waiting for her to eat before he would dare tip his nose in for a bit of flesh. Even if he was a bit of a sneak, he did still pride himself in being respectful.

Giving a snort of amusement, Nimloth lifted her bloodied muzzle, winked and then went to work dismembering a front leg.
"I said I'd share and I will. Even kept some of the choicer bits aside so none can complain of my hospitality. So y'may as well come and eat before the meat begins to spoil in this heat."
The white leopardess has purposely moved the gazelle's heart to the side as a show of her good faith. Though she cast a few longing glances at it, she'd allow the male to have it. Besides, she was content to eat meat and crack legs bones for the sweet marrow they contained. The loss of one heart wasn't going to kill her.

"I thank you again, then."
With another quick bow, he dipped his head low, tearing into a hind leg of the gazelle. It tasted so fresh he did his best to not be emotional. Sure he could catch himself a meal, but he hadn't had the best luck lately in catching anything too tastey.
He noticed that she had pushed the heart his way, but for now he ignored it, more intent of getting finished with the leg of the gazelle. His jaw was now just as bloodied as him, and he knew it would be quite interesting getting himself all cleaned up again.
He eyed the heart again, his mouth watering at it when he thought about it lying there. he reached over, nudged it his way, and took a bite through the middle of it. He let it settle in his mouth for a while before giving it a deep, slow swallow. He then nudged in back towards the other, hoping that she would eat the other half. He had to be a gentleman as well.

Keeping a eye on the male as he ate, Nimloth was pleasantly surprised to note that he showed such courtesy. Inclining her head in thanks, she ate the other half of the heart before pushing a cracked legbone his way.
She was tempted to question him, but decided it could wait until they were both full. After all, no sense in chasing off the first sociable creature she'd met in a long while. Instead, she thought she would simply give him her name without asking his own or asking for any information. She was still the host here, after all.
"Name's Nimloth," she said matter-of-factly. "Care for another legbone?"

"Odin," the leopard replied, his name simple and short. "And thank you."
He began to shew on the other hind leg, having to pull it out from underneath the carcass so he could eat more of the muscle that was near the hip bone; some of his favourite. At times, Odin didn't mind if the meat could be a bit tough, it still tasted delicious on his tongue.
Inbetween snacking on the other hind leg, he drew the legbone that Nimloth had pushed his way and licked out the marrow, enjoying such a pleaseant meal. She had certainly caught herself a delicious meal today!
Feeling that he had eaten enough, though he hadn't quite had his full, the leopard sat himself up, licking his maw clean of the damp blood that still clung to his fur. It would be a while before it was pure white again. "Thank you," he echoed, pleased with such a splendid meal with proper and polite company. Such rarity these days!
