Storyline:
The Lord of the Rings:
A New Fellowship and The Return of the Ring
...And so it was that the One Ring was destroyed, and the land settled back into a calm and peaceful state. Cities and towns were rebuilt and the people of Middle Earth began to start anew--though their loved ones and the terror of Sauron was not to be easily forgotten. However, life goes on and years pass by, and the people of Middle Earth continued with their lives, concerning themselves no longer with the fear they had once possessed of being conquered by a terrible evil. Sauron was no longer mentioned, and the One Ring was pushed far back in the minds of most, save those that had directly been involved in the destruction of the Ring.
However, no matter how long a country remains peaceful, eventually evil returns, bringing with it war and destruction.
Somewhere, the ring was born again. How and why it returned is still a mystery, but the dreaded ring of power was alive once more. Its power called out to Sauron, calling him back from the blackness into which he had fallen, reawakening the terror that Middle Earth had faced.
As the ring returned, Middle Earth was changed. Lands from different worlds appeared seemingly from nowhere, merging and forming a new world that was a conglomeration of different races, locations and even time and space. But, no matter how different or the new people were, they all still faced the same threat.
A new Fellowship was needed, heroes who would rise to the challenge and, hopefully, once again save the lives of those who faced the terrible evil of Sauron and the One Ring.

The old wizard tapped a finger against his chin, aged eyes focused on a small object that sat atop the table in the middle of the room. A small fire blazed in the fireplace, flames crackling and sparking, creating a warm glow that would have comforted any weary or homesick traveler...however, the small metal object that gleamed on the table dispelled any of that comfort that would have been awarded, seeming to have a tangible coldness that filled the room. In a chair opposite the wizard sat a hobbit, his form hunched forward, arms wrapped around himself. His eyes--pure blue eyes that glinted with an intense fear--were focused on the object as well. For a long moment neither spoke, the silence heavy. Then, clearing his throat, the hobbit spoke. "This means he's back, doesn't it Gandalf?" His voice trembled lightly and he dug his fingers into the material of his shirt.
The wizard said nothing, but looked at the object. The very thing they had fought for so long to destroy had somehow become whole again. And as it had, the world had changed drastically--Middle Earth had fallen away, and foreign lands had taken their place, with very new and confused beings that inhabited those lands. Fighting had erupted between the evil forces in the lands to the North, and one by one they had begun conquering cities and towns, killing innocents that lived peacefully there. "I'm afraid that it does, my boy." Rubbing his eyes and leaning back in the chair, the wizard took a puff from the pipe that hung from the corner of his mouth.
"It will have to be destroyed again." The hobbit looked at Gandalf, then back at the object on the table. Gandalf only nodded, his grey eyes wandering to the hobbit. "Gandalf?"
"Hmm...?"
"I can't do it again." The hobbit trembled more violently, images and memories of the first journey to Mordor flooding his mind. He had seen more death and experienced more pain on that journey than he had ever wished to--and the carrying the ring had taken a toll on him that was a lot for any being to endure.
"I wouldn't ask you to take on such a task again, Frodo. But somehow, it needs to be destroyed yet again, or we all face the terror that Sauron will cause." Frodo nodded, his eyes returning to the Ring. He wished that the thing had never returned--it would bring heartache and evil unto any who came into contact with it.
"What are we to do, Gandalf?" The old wizard sighed, a puff of smoke from the pipe coming from his mouth.
"There's going to have to be a new fellowship, one that will take on the task of destroying the ring once again. And with the lands as they are, changing and different, this will be no easy task. I shall go to Goldberry and speak with her, however, and get her to send visions to call upon the ones we need to complete this task." Gandalf shook his head lightly, giving Frodo an intense glance. "Although I am certain that while we are gathering people to help destroy the Ring, Sauron will be gathering his own allies to help him obtain the Ring. One thing is certain: he must not control the One Ring again..." The wizard's voice faded, slipping back into silence as his glance moved to the Ring. He almost seemed to wince in pain as he looked at it, his mind bringing back memories of pain and suffering that the people of Middle Earth had endured.
After a few moments of silence went by, Frodo spoke up. "I will accompany the group that is assembled to the borders of the Shire... since I am familiar with this area and the heavy burden of the Ring, I can help at least that much--but I fear that any more than that and I would be trouble to them, and the Ring could easily corrupt my mind..."
Gandalf nodded in agreement. "Then it's settled. I will go to Goldberry, we will find the heroes willing to carry the Ring to Mordor, and you shall lead them through the Shire." With that, Gandalf stood, . Frodo stood as well, hugging the old wizard before the both walked to the door. "I am entrusting the Ring to you for now, Frodo."
Frodo nodded, opening the door for the wizard. "And you as well, Gandalf...but hurry, the ring needs to be destroyed. Be safe, old friend."

Bio: In TA 2956, Gandalf and Aragorn met, forming a friendship that would last the rest of their lives. They searched endlessly for Gollum, whom they knew had left the Mountains in search of the "thief" who had taken his precious Ring, but to no avail: Gollum was wary enough to evade his pursuers. In TA 3001, Bilbo hosted his 111th birthday party, to which Gandalf was invited. Bilbo used the Ring to disappear, and planned to leave the Ring to Frodo after his little trick, but found the Ring's power at work. Bilbo grew angry when Gandalf urged him to leave the Ring to Frodo instead of taking it with him, and this caused Gandalf to suspect even more that this Ring was the One Ring. The wizard succeeded in convincing Bilbo, and Bilbo became the first being in history to give up the Ring of his own free will. In TA 3017, Aragorn finally captured Gollum, and Gandalf learned much from the creature. In the same year, Gandalf also read the scrolls that Isildur had written before his death. He grew alarmed, and journeyed back to the Shire to test his theory. He had unmistakable proof when he threw the Ring into the fire of Bag End, and the Elf-runes inscribed on the Ring were revealed.
Gandalf immediately advised Frodo to leave the Shire very soon, and they made plans for Gandalf to meet Frodo on September 22nd, at the very latest. Gandalf left the Shire, and, not far from the village of Bree, met Radagast. Radagast told him that the Nazgul were abroad again and that they had crossed the river. He also related that Saruman said Gandalf must seek his aid at once, or it would too late. Gandalf, not knowing that Saruman was in league with Mordor, journeyed to Isengard, although he stopped at Bree on the way and wrote a letter to Frodo, which he entrusted to the Innkeeper to send to the Shire immediately. At Isengard he discovered Saruman's true intent, and after refusing Saruman's invitation to join the league of evil, was imprisoned on the top of Saruman's tower, Orthanc. Gwaihir the Eagle rescued Gandalf, and brought him to Edoras, capitol of Rohan. Gandalf was ill-received by King Théoden and the king's counsellor, Grima Wormtongue. The King bid him take any horse in the land and be gone, and, to Théoden's distress, Gandalf took Shadowfax, lord of all horses. Though it took days for Gandalf to tame the proud horse, Shadowfax's speed was so great that Gandalf reached the Shire not long after Frodo had set out. After learning that Frodo had left Hobbiton, Gandalf travelled to Weathertop and was surrounded by the Nazgul that night. They fought long, but at sunrise Gandalf escaped and fled to Rivendell, where he arrived three days before Frodo.
After Frodo volunteered to take the Ring at the Council of Elrond, Gandalf decided to lead the Fellowship. The nine companions set out on December 25th, and made for the Pass of Caradhras. Aragorn wished to take the route through the Mines of Moria, but Gandalf distrusted that road and refused. Caradhras conquered them with its deadly snowfalls, and they were forced to follow Aragorn's original suggestion. The Balrog in Moria was awoken when Pippin foolishly threw a stone into a well, and the whole Fellowship fought the horde of orcs that followed the monster. The companions fled to the Bridge of Khazad-dum, where Gandalf remained alone on the bridge to fight the Balrog. When the creature dared to cross the abyss, Gandalf broke the bridge with his staff, and the Balrog fell into the chasm. As it plummetted, it wrapped its whip about Gandalf's legs and pulled the wizard with it.
The two were locked in deadly combat as they fell, but when they hit the deep water at the uttermost foundations of stone, the Balrog's fire was quenched and he became a thing of slime, stronger than a strangling snake. They fought again until the Balrog fled up the Endless Stair to the peak of Zirak-zigil, where Gandalf finally threw down his enemy. The wizard himself passed away, but was sent back to finish his task in Middle-earth. When life returned to him, Gandalf was again rescued by Gwaihir, who took him to Lothlorien, where he gave and received council with Galadriel and Celeborn.
On March 1st, TA 3019, Gandalf was reunited with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, though they at first mistook him for Saruman. Gandalf called for his horse, Shadowfax, and they rode to Edoras. Gandalf healed Théoden from the poisonous words of Grima, and the four companions, along with the available men of Rohan, travelled to Helm's Deep to battle Saruman's monstrous Uruk-hai. Before arriving at the fortress, Gandalf left the company without giving a reason, but, when the Uruk-hai had nearly won the battle, returned leading Erkenbrand, a thousand men of Rohan, and the Huorns.
After the battle, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Théoden, Éomer, and a small escort rode to Orthanc, where they saw the flooded grounds: the work of the infuriated Ents. Gandalf talked to Saruman, and gave him the chance to aid them, but Saruman refused and Gandalf broke the wizard's staff, casting him out of their order. Grima aimed a palantir at Gandalf, but it missed and was picked up by Pippin. Gandalf quickly took the seeing stone and hid it away, but that did not prevent Pippin from stealing it that night and looking into it. Pippin saw Sauron, though the hobbit did not speak, and Gandalf thought it wise to take him to Minas Tirith. The two rode off on Shadowfax, leaving the rest of their company behind.
At Minas Tirith, Gandalf tried to advise Denethor, but Denethor had a long rivalry with the wizard and refused his counsel. Gandalf instead turned to Faramir, with whom he had always been well received, but this also angered Denethor. After Faramir was wounded, Denethor's insanity conquered him and Gandalf was forced to command the city and its forces. He nearly combatted the Witch-king of Angmar, but their approaching battle was interrupted by the Rohirrim. Gandalf instead rode quickly to the Tombs, where Denethor was trying to burn alive both himself and his feverish son. The wizard stopped the madness and saved Faramir, though Denethor leapt onto the pyre and was consumed in the flames.
Gandalf presided over the council of the Captains of the West, and came up with the idea of a diversionary battle. Before the Gates of Mordor, the Mouth of Sauron showed the army Frodo's mithril coat, clothes, and Sam's sword. He demanded a surrender, or the "prisoner" would be subjected to hideous torment. Gandalf, not knowing that Frodo still walked free, refused the terms, though the bitter pain it caused him was evident to his friends. The Last Battle began, and when Gandalf saw the forces of Mordor halt as the will to fight drained out of them, he leapt onto the back of Gwaihir, who had just arrived with many other Eagles, and flew to Mount Doom, where he rescued Frodo and Sam from the fiery streams of lava that would have consumed them.
At Aragorn's coronation, Gandalf had the honor of placing the crown on Aragorn's head. He rode with Théoden's funeral company to Edoras, and continued to accompany the hobbits all the way past Bree. He left them near Buckland, and rode off to have a long conversation with Tom Bombadil.
In autumn of TA 3021, Gandalf, along with Galadriel, Elrond, Frodo, Bilbo, and perhaps Shadowfax, took the ship to his ancient home in Valinor, and was never again seen in Middle-earth.
Util the re showing of the ring, and other new lands. He now resides with Frodo slighty inside the Shire, within Darein the boy king's castle, brought from across the ocean.

Background/ History:The second oldest of the Test Tube Babies, Cain is often seen as Abel's elder twin. He was the leader of the Mars Colonialization Project, called the "Red Mars Project". Apparently a gentle, beloved leader, he in truth was filled with a hatred towards the world for creating him and his siblings as tools for the project. At an accident on Mars, he was killed, but Seth injected him with the Crusnik nanomachines and thus saved his life. However, he fused with the nanomachines at 100% and thus gave up control to them, in order to get the power to destroy the world, since he had an inherently destructive personality and could not stand his hatred. In the war following the return of the colonialists to earth, he took the side of the Returners. As Lilith protected the humans, he called her for negotiations, but killed her instead, calling her a "bad influence" on Abel, since she was bringing out his humanity and convincing him that his hatred for the world was wrong. Abel then pushed Cain out of the space ship and into the atmosphere, burning him to a pile of ash. From this ash, Cain regenerated back to his normal form, and met Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer about 900 years later. Together, they took over the Rosenkreutz Orden, until then a small, insignificant organisation in Berlin consisting of enemies of the Vatican. Through Cain and Isaak's charisma and power, the RCO grew into the world's leading terrorist organization.

Bio: The Oldest of the Test Tube Babies, Abel is often seen a a clumsy priest, but in truth he is a Crusnik, a vampire of extraordinary power, and hundreds of years old. He is a vampire that feeds on the blood of vampires. But despite his strength, he adheres to a principle of pacifism and often refuses to kill his opponents outright. Abel is shown in flashbacks to have a hatred for humanity, but at some point that changes into his current pacifistic and peaceful outlook on life. He acknowledges having greatly sinned at some point in his life, though it is unclear as to what sin he committed, and much of his current personality is based on retribution for his sins. Abel has at one point referred to his Crusnik form as "a mark of his sins", though it is unknown what he meant by that. He shows some romantic feelings towards Esther Blanchett, though most of the time he appears oblivious that Esther returns the sentiment (as pointed out by Astharoshe Asran). In his human form he fights with a gun that shoots silver bullets. As a Crusnik, is able to transform into various forms based on the amount of nanomachines in his body that he activates. In his higher forms he wields a huge scythe materialized from his own blood. In his past, it is revealed that pre-Armageddon, Nightroad was Commander in the UN Air and Space Force involved in the "Mars Colonization" project.
Abel was created in 2088 A.D. in London as one of the so-called "Test Tube Babies." The four artificial humans (Lilith Sahl, Cain Nightroad, Abel Nightroad, Seth Nightroad) were created to be in charge of the colonization of Mars after the Earth's population drastically increased. On Mars, the colonists discovered two alien technologies (the Bacillus and the Crusnik nanomachines), which they installed in their bodies: the colonists, the Bacillus; the Test Tube Babies, the Crusnik, since only their enhanced bodies were able to survive this combination. As the colonists returned to Earth, a war broke out between them and the humans who remained. Abel (hating the world for creating him and his beloved "siblings" as toys back then), Cain, and Seth took the Methuselah's side — while Lilith supported the humans' side. After she was killed by Cain (now insane after he had fused with the Crusnik nanomachines at 100%), Abel retrieved her body, and, in grief, brought it to the Vatican, where she was buried. For 900 years, Abel stayed by her side and wept, until young Caterina Sforza fled to the crypt as she was chased by Methuselah assassins. Abel, realizing that it was his task to continue Lilith's work and defend the humans, saved the young Caterina and chose to live on. He joined the AX at its foundation in May, 3055 A.D. He also despises his younger twin Cain with a passion for what he did to Lillith.
Extra: Crusnik 02: with 40% of Crusnik nanomachines activated, his eyes become red, his teeth become fangs, his nails turn into claws, and a gigantic scythe made of blood materializes in his hands. At 80%, he grows black wings and can generate massive amounts of electricity. At 100%, he turns into a humanoid creature with dark skin, black bat-like wings, and blue markings that cover his entire body. He also generates more electricity than his 80% form and a second blade forms on the other end of his blood scythe. Abel has also demonstrated what may be form of telekinesis. Abel can draw Methuselah blood directly into his body without using his fangs. This was shown in episode two where Abel drew in the blood through his shoes while impaled in the shoulder by a vampire and also in episode 14 when Abel absorbs Ion's blood into his wings. It is possible that this presumed telekinesis is actually a result of Abel controlling the Bacillus bacteria present in Methuselah blood. On no occasion was he seen doing the same with the blood of normal human beings. When not in Crusnik form Abel appears fairly weak, and fights with a pistol containing silver bullets. He is, however, strong enough to throw a man across a room and can easily survive being stabbed by a Methuselah's blade.

Bio:Tifa Lockhart was born in Nibelheim and grew up next door to Cloud Strife. Though they knew each other since childhood, circumstances prevented them from getting close, and Cloud was left to admire Tifa from afar.
When Tifa was eight, her mother died, and soon after, believing that her mother's spirit may have passed through the mountains, she decided to follow the path leading up the nearby Mt. Nibel.[2] Her three closest friends, who were afraid to follow her up the mountain, abandoned her one by one. Cloud, however, who had been following them unnoticed, continued on after Tifa. When Tifa missed her footing on a rope bridge leading into the mountain, he ran to save her but was too late, and both of them fell into the gorge below.
Cloud survived the accident while suffering no more than scraped knees, but Tifa was in a coma for a week. Tifa's father held Cloud responsible for the incident[3], and his relationship with Tifa remained distant. Cloud blamed himself for the accident as well and felt that he had been unable to save Tifa because of his own weakness. His self-reproach led to anger toward himself, which then led to him into fights with others. Later, he would hear of Sephiroth, a legendary soldier admired by many young men, and he would conceive a plan to prove to himself and to everyone else that he was strong enough to protect Tifa.
At the age of fourteen, Cloud asked Tifa to meet him one evening at the well in the center of town. Cloud then told her of his plans to leave for Midgar and join SOLDIER. It is later revealed that this decision was largely influenced by a desire not only to become strong enough to protect Tifa, but also to impress her as well.[4] Tifa was both surprised and disappointed at Cloud's news; she asked him to promise that if he achieved his dream and that if she were ever in danger, he would come to her rescue.[5]
Springtime came and Cloud left for Midgar. Despite never really being close with Cloud, Tifa found his departure harder than she had expected. She began to think about him frequently, wondering whether he was well and whether he had achieved his dream. She began to read the newspapers, thinking there might be an article about him, but it would be years before she heard any news of him.[6]
When she was fifteen, Tifa acted as a Nibelheim guide for a group of SOLDIER personnel inspecting the mako reactor on Mt. Nibel. The group consisted of the 1st-Class SOLDIERs Sephiroth and Zack, as well as two MPs, one of which, unbeknownst to Tifa, was Cloud. After the inspection, the group returned to town, and Sephiroth stayed in the basement of the Shin-Ra Mansion to read through the research notes left by Professors Gast and Hojo. What he discovered brought about a gruesome change in him. (For more information, see Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII).) Without warning, he set fire to Nibelheim in the night and slaughtered the townspeople.
With her hometown in ruins and most of her loved ones dead, Tifa pursued Sephiroth as he returned to the reactor, only to find that Sephiroth had murdered her father as well. In a blind rage, she attempted to kill Sephiroth with his own sword. However, he proved too strong for her, and with terrifying ease he disarmed and seriously injured Tifa, nearly killing her. As Cloud made his way into the reactor, he found Zack lying against some machinery with critical injuries, as well as Tifa's severely wounded and unconscious body at the bottom of the stairs leading into Jenova's chamber. Enraged, Cloud took up Zack's sword before picking Tifa up and moving her to a more comfortable position. Cloud then confronted Sephiroth, who stabbed him. With a final burst of strength Cloud lifted Sephiroth whilst still impaled, and threw him off the edge into the Lifestream below. In the aftermath of the incident, Zangan appeared on the scene and took the grievously injured Tifa to safety.
Due to the severity of her injuries, Zangan carried Tifa to Midgar for medical attention, where he left her in the care of a doctor before returning to his travels. Upon recovering, Tifa set up a bar called "7th Heaven" in Midgar's Sector 7. There she met Barret Wallace, the leader of the Shinra resistance group AVALANCHE. Tifa joined his resistance faction, as she wanted revenge on Shinra for the events that had occurred in Nibelheim.
One day, Tifa found a barely-coherent Cloud sitting at the Sector 7 train station and took him back to AVALANCHE's base to recover. It was the first time she had seen him in seven years, though he would later say —- much to her confusion —- that it had only been five. Tifa soon realized that Cloud knew many things he should not have known, while apparently unaware of other things that he should have known. These abnormalities caused her great concern for his mental welfare, and she persuaded him to join AVALANCHE so she could be with him and watch over him.[7]

[edit] On the Way to a Smile: Case of Tifa
A story from Tifa's point of view, set after Sephiroth was defeated, and before the events of Advent Children. Tifa, Cloud and Barret move to Edge, a new town being constructed just outside of Midgar, and set up a new 7th Heaven as they attempt to build a family life for themselves. After Barret leaves to settle his past, Cloud and Tifa tend to the orphan Denzel and Barret's adopted daughter, Marlene. During the story, Tifa tries hard to maintain a sense of family unity and the concept of a "normal family" itself. She particularly concerns herself with Cloud, as he begins isolating himself from her and the others as time goes on by living in Aerith's church.
[edit] Final Fantasy VII Advent Children
Tifa, along with Cloud, is one of the main characters of Advent Children. Her role in the film sequel is mainly that of emotional support for Cloud, urging him to come to terms with the unwarranted guilt he places on himself. She also displays a great deal of concern for the children in their care, particularly Marlene and Denzel. Tifa takes part in a one-on-one battle with the new villain, Loz, and later joins in the fight against Bahamut SIN. During the film, her athletic abilities, martial arts skills, strength, and agility are clearly proven to be superhuman. Her strength may have been above normal earlier than the film and the present time of the game. In the fight scene with Loz, Tifa shows her true power and knowledge of martial arts. Although she loses, she shows she can put up a fair fight.

Tifa has a small role in Dirge of Cerberus, appearing most notably during the World Restoration Organization's full scale conflict with the Deep Ground organization. She goes into the battle with Barret and the WRO ground forces, sends Vincent the map of the Shinra building, and later throttles a enemy soldier helping to clear the way to Omega Weapon. She is seen at the Seventh Heaven in the final FMV, where she and Yuffie talk briefly about Vincent's apparent disappearance.

Bio:Rei is the traditional Japanese beauty — delicate features, pale skin, and long, shining dark hair. In her first appearance, Luna even suspects that she could be the Moon Princess because of her beauty.[5] Unlike the other girls, she attends a Catholic school (despite personally being Shinto) called T*A Private Girls School. She is widely admired for her elegance and charm, earning the adulation of classmate and stranger alike.

Her strange psychic talents have caused some to be afraid of her, and her family situation makes her unreceptive to close friendship. Her mother died years ago; her father is a very high-class and famous politician who does not care to be involved in her life, and only visits Rei on her birthday. She therefore lives at the Hikawa shrine, under the care of her maternal grandfather, a Shinto priest. In the anime, "grandpa" appears frequently as a short, good-humored, unrepentant lech; in the manga he scarcely appears at all and when he does, he's the physical opposite of his anime counterpart; tall, skinny, a full head of hair and even a mustache. In the live-action drama, he is never mentioned.
Because of the lack of respectable males in her life, Rei harbors a generally low opinion of all men. She considers them emotionally weak and untrustworthy. As the story progresses she softens somewhat, and is even attracted to various men. In the anime it is often hinted that she has a working relationship with Yuuichirou (Chad in the Dub), Grandpa's pupil. Also, early in the series she has a small relationship with Mamoru Chiba, but soon realizes he's not for her and soon she sees that he and Usagi are destined for each other, therefore she gives up on him amiably. However, in the manga she is never given a serious romantic interest. Outside of the anime she rarely displays any particular desire for a boyfriend, yet it is hinted at during her battle with Tiger Eye.
Among her friends, which consist entirely of the other Senshi, Rei sometimes adopts an aloof, big-sisterly attitude. This façade is frequently broken by her great enthusiasm, her genuine affection for all of them, and her sharp tongue. Of all the girls, Rei is probably the most sarcastic.
Rei cares for two of the crows living at the shrine, which she has named Phobos and Deimos (after the two moons of Mars). They have the ability to sense evil, and sometimes even attack enemies. The two are most important in the manga series, where they reveal themselves in Act 36 as Power Guardians—small, humanoid sprites. They save Sailor Mars from being killed by Tiger's Eye and give her her Sailor Crystal. They are later revealed to be from the planet Coronis.[6]
Rei was given a special episode in the manga, entitled Casablanca Memories partly because it is revealed in the story that her favorite flower is the white "Casablanca" lily. It tells of the friendship Rei had with her father's secretary, a handsome and pleasant young man named Kaidou. Rei at one point even fancied herself in love with him, and was shocked when he suddenly became engaged to another girl, also a politician's daughter. Kaidou told Rei that it was an arranged marriage and mostly a status thing, but Rei could see that Kaidou truly liked his fiancée; she even told him that if Kaidou really wanted a raise in his social status, he would have chosen to marry Rei herself. Rei also shared a second manga story with Aino Minako, entitled Rei and Minako's Girls School Battle.
Planetary symbol of MarsMuch of Rei's life is influenced by her spirituality, particularly in the manga. Meditation is given as her strong point; she enjoys fortune-telling as a hobby, and dreams of one day being the head miko of a shrine. The elegance of her character is further underscored by the contrast between her favorite subject, ancient writing, and her least favorite, modern society.[1] She also belongs to the Archery club at school.[7] In the anime, her character is slightly different; she still enjoys her shrine duties, but she also loves pop culture and dreams of becoming a singer, a model, a voice actress, and a bride. As for more general tastes, it is mentioned in the manga that Rei enjoys fugu, a type of blowfish which is both highly toxic and considered a delicacy in Japan. Her least favorite food is listed as canned asparagus. Other favorite things include pandas[8] and the colors red and black; dislikes include both television and men in general. Rei stands about 160 centimeters tall (5 ft 3 in),[9][10] and her blood type is AB .

Bio: Yuffie encounters Cloud in any forest after leaving the Mythril Mines near Fort Condor. If the player defeats her in combat and then chooses the correct series of dialogue during a conversation with her, she will join the party.
An incorrect answer causes her to steal some of the party's gil and flee. Yuffie is very spirited and mischievous, and can be a smart-aleck at times. Though she calls herself a materia hunter, she is, in fact, a materia thief, albeit the reason behind her thieving is for a noble cause brought to effect in a misguided manner.
If the Wutai Continent is visited before the party's Midgar raid, Yuffie will steal the gang's Materia— and, of course, the party chases after her. Yuffie leads them a good distance north, to her hometown of Wutai, where she plays several tricks on the party during their attempt to retrieve their materia. In the end, she gives it back after being saved from Don Corneo. Following this, she stays on her best behavior.
In another sidequest, one which can be played any time following her theft of the materia, she will prove herself by beating the bosses of Wutai's five story Pagoda. The last of these battles is against her own father, Godo Kisaragi. These fights and the sequence of conversations following them enable both father and daughter to understand the other's reasoning. Godo then asks Cloud to take Yuffie with him on his quest.
Later, while Cloud and the others attempt to stop Meteor, Yuffie helps Vincent in the evacuation of Midgar.
Near the end of the game's Disc 1, it is possible for the player to set main character Cloud Strife up on a date with her, Aerith Gainsborough, Tifa Lockhart or Barret Wallace. During the date with Yuffie, she will kiss Cloud, leading to an awkward moment between the two which ends with the sound of Yuffie smacking Cloud.

History/Background: Hailing from the city of Istavan (the series' name for Budapest), Sister Esther grew up with a nun, Bishop Laura (also translated as Vitez), who treated her like a daughter. When Abel meets her, she has just murdered a Colonel Lattikar to avenge Laura. A vivid, star-shaped birthmark adorns her side, marking her as Albion's "star of hope" (Note: the name "Esther" is derived from the Persian word for star).[1] This mark later proves her to be part of the royal family of Albion, and she ascends the throne to become queen. She is shown to have growing romantic feelings towards Abel Nightroad, though he seems a bit oblivious to this (as Astharoshe Asran points out). She has also shown a strong degree of altruism (sacrificial at times) with Ion. In the anime, she blames herself for Abel's apparent death and stays by his casket for several days, not once leaving his side until Virgil Walsh comes to bring her to Albion. She is also a witness to Abel's revival by Tres, which gives some final resolution to their relationship and allows her to move on. In the end she was crowned queen of Albion, and realized that she could make a difference in the world.

Bio: Mia, a 17-year-old Mercury Adept from the wintry town of Imil, is one of the two last living descendants of the Mercury Tribe. Mia is an attractive, caring young woman with long, flowing blue hair characteristic of Mercury tribesmen.
Mia had previously held Alex as her apprentice, and as the custodians of the Mercury tribe their sworn responsibilities were to live as the healers of the populace and to ensure that the Mercury Lighthouse near town is never activated. Mia, of course, never suspects Alex’s hidden motives for self-gain, and she is left confused when Alex leaves Imil on his own, in effect abandoning her.
Mia’s life and destiny change completely when the warrior Isaac arrives in Imil in pursuit of Saturos to prevent his band from activating the Lighthouses and returning Alchemy to the world. Mia joins Isaac in hastily climbing to the top of Mercury Lighthouse, where to Mia’s supreme horror the Mercury Beacon has been lit by none other than Alex, revealed to be in league with the unusual, menacing Saturos and Menardi.
Alex explains that in lighting Mercury he has freed the first part of a great power that has long been sealed away, a power that he obviously admires, and Mia in response accuses Alex of having gone mad in betraying not just their charge of duty but her as well.
After Alex bids her farewell and leaves with Saturos, Mia vows not to let Alex get away with this and accepts Isaac’s invitation to join his quest to stop Saturos and Alex. Mia becomes the designated healing figure to Isaac’s party in their journey from then on .

Weapons: Vash habitually carries a .45 long colt custom silver coated metal body. This gun is modeled after several other revolvers. It is a classic six-shot double-action revolver and fires .45 Colt ammunition. In the manga, Vash uses this unique gun out of mere novelty and habit; however, in the anime this pistol was created by Knives and is linked to his Angel Arm weapon. (see below) The appearance of the pistol in the manga is also subtly different from the anime.
In the anime, Vash's trademark pistol is the catalyst needed to activate this weapon - he cannot use it without that pistol. In addition, no mention is made of his power limits or other uses for his power.
Vash lost his left arm in an incident involving Knives. He has a cybernetic replacement for that arm, which also conceals an integrated gun. In the beginning, this is a semi-automatic weapon; later on (in both the manga and the anime) it is upgraded to a fully automatic sub-machine gun (the recoil of which proves slightly problematic at first), which extends and flips over to rest on top of his arm.
In the anime, Vash also uses Reverend Nicholas D. Wolfwood's punisher machine gun to defeat Knives and ends up keeping it.

Bio: Vash is in fact not a human, but a human-like "Plant", interdimensional beings that are tapped as a source of power and energy for the planet Gunsmoke, similar to the "Fast-Friends" from the George R.R. Martin short story of the same name. [4] As a Plant, his body does not physically age past his mid-twenties or so (he is 131 years old in the anime, 150 in the manga by the end of the first series. 152 by the beginning of the second series.) and his right arm can transform into an unusually destructive weapon, called an "Angel Arm." This weapon is powerful enough to destroy entire cities with a single blast (in a way somewhat similar to the effects of a hydrogen or nuclear bomb), but Vash fears its potental for destruction and knows little about how to use it. In the manga, this weapon is a natural feature of his body, and capable of various effects beyond destruction. In addition, his Angel Arm is limited - like a battery, it contains only a certain amount of energy, and when that energy is gone, he will die. A plant's hair color gradually darkens as their power is depleted - when it is gone, their hair is entirely black. Vash's weapon uses a tremendous amount of power - his hair began to darken after the second time he fires it. Throughout the manga, Vash's hair continues to grow darker until it is almost completely black.
In the anime, Vash requires a special Angel Gun to activate his powers. Shortly after he receives his Angel Gun from his brother, Vash shoots Knives in the leg, then takes both guns and flees into the desert. He spends two years alone wandering Gunsmoke until he finally collapses. [4] He is rescued by humans from the only remaining functioning SEEDS ship on the planet, which didn't quite crash during "The Great Fall." [5] While there he makes human friends and is gifted with his signature red (duster styled) trenchcoat. After a few months he leaves and ventures out into the world. Vash returns to the ship 80 years later in search of any relatives of Rem in its databanks and finds the last one alive: PASSENGER NO.300-89-9023AS, or "Revenant Buskus". Buskus had studied Plants and established a new plant-theory in July City. Vash goes to July City in the hopes of meeting him, but instead finds Knives standing over Revenant's dead body. In the ensuing firefight, Knives shoots Vash's left arm off. He then activates Vash's Angel Arm in an attempt to destroy the city and everyone in it, but Vash turns the Angel Arm on Knives instead.
In the manga, Vash and Knives separate after Knives slaughters a city that had captured Vash. After a fierce argument, Vash panicked and fired a gun, hitting Knives in the back. Knives retaliated by using his angel arm to cut off Vash's left arm. After this separation, Vash was found by the SEEDS ship colony, where he gained his gear and prosthetic left arm. After years of intense training to become a skilled gunslinger, Vash searches Bill Conrad, one of the crew aboard the SEEDS ship he and Knives grew up on. Knives, however, found Dr. Conrad first and used him to learn more about the Angel Arm and the power of plants. When Vash arrived at July, Knives defeated him and had Conrad study Vash's abilities. Afterwards, Knives activated Vash's Angel Arm, which led to the destructive July incident.
In both versions of the July incident, Knives was severely injured and hid away to recover, sending the Gung Ho Guns to torment and prepare Vash to confront Knives again.
