I don't think the movie did Venom justice. I think he should have had his own movie, not been thrown in with the other villains in the movie. What do you guys think?

I think when you look at the vastness of the venom story line there was no way that they were even going to be able to fit everything into a spiderman movie regardless weather it was entirely based around venom or not. The changes they made to venom where somewhat frustrating and yes they did play him down a little however I believe it was a reasonable sacrifice in order to make in the movies an overall success.

Quote: Good theing thery are making a Venom movie now, huh? I agree that there would be way to much to pack into a movie if they included more Venom but the way they down played him was just as a bad. I also found that way to many villains were crammed into the movie. I also never want to see Peter flick his fingers and do the moon walk, that was just scary. In any case there just seemed to much crammed into the movie and I certainly hope that they make a movie just for Venom.

What would you change to make him seem "bigger" if you were to remake this movie then?

Make him...BIGGER for one. I think it would have been quite a bit better if they would have just stuck with New Goblin and Sandman (still probably too many), but that would have kept well with the whole "redemption" thing. That way, they could end with a set-up for the next movie with the meteor crashing. I think it would have been cool to go through a Secret Wars movie, but I know that would never happen.

I would make it center around Venom, and like Guy Gardner-Green Lantern said show the meteor seen. It makes so much more sense, and the fact that they "killed" Venom, I don't believe that. You can't kill venom but you can prevent him from taking over someone. You can't kill a symbiont, it's like killing a parasite, you can't but you can prevent them. So that alone screwed up the movie. Besides, they have to introduce Carnage and Toxin. It wouldn't be Spiderman without them.

I disagree, I don’t think having more than one villain was a bad move, I mean look at the classic Batman movie, It was pure gold and it had like 5 villains and none of them would I consider to have been played down. I’ve noticed people using this as a reason for why Venom seemed kind of played down in the movie. I think the real reason he seemed a bit smaller in the movie was to do with the way the Venom character converted over onto the big screen, there just wasn’t enough conviction or brutality in the personality and as far as the way he looked was concerned, he did look impressive but to be honest I’d say the appearance of Sandman upstaged him big time. But having said that taking Sandman out of the movie wouldn't of made him look any more impresive.

I agree on the Carnage part, he was a HUGE character, but Toxin isn't and never really has been all that important. He's very rarely seen.

the real question though it if they did make a movie with carnage who the hell could do a good job of portraying him? I mean the guy was a red head…that rules out about 99% of all actors whose acting would sooner be mistaken for an epileptic fit. Ok so red headed actors ok we’ve got Ewan McGregor who is too English, we’ve got Ron Howard who I’d rather shoot my self in the fact before viewing him as Carnage there’s Rupert Grint who was Ron in the Harry Potter films and well his problem is he played Ron from the Harry Potter films and then there’s Chuck Norris who if portrayed as Carnage I think the world would implode
Sorry to rain on people parades but no decent actors, therefore no Carnage
