as far as the war goes, i will stick with my gut - war = bad + lots of killing + poverty + loss of funds spent on more useful things, like ending poverty and things of that nature. the entire reason the us went to war with iraq had nothing to do with 'freeing iraq'. that was all a facade for the incredible screw-up mr. bush made when he decided we needed revenge for 9/11. i don't blame him in this respect, but current intelligence states very clearly that mr. bush knew BEFORE 9/11 that it was likely to happen, and AFTER it happened, clear intelligence provided that iraq and al qaida (sp?) were not responsible for it, and that there were no weapons of mass distruction. the same with the iran screw up - mr. bush had clear intelligence that iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapons program.
