by the next step you take a time line will split, and a new universe shall have been created, consider that when doing the simplest thing, for example, if you were drinking a glass of water, and you happen to drop that glass, that glass smashes, and by a twist of fate some glass shards fly into your blood stream, pass through your veins and end up in your heart, you are rushed to hospital and the only way they can save you is by testing a new method of medical sciense on you, they make you a cyborg perhaps, witch then creates gains the knowlege and the power to make more cyborgs and then dominates the earth with a powerful cyborg army, all becaus you droped that glass.

in this story, the beginning of the time split happens not on earth, but far off in the galaxy, a race of genesidal creatures know as the necrons are on an endless crusade to devour the galaxy of life as they themselfs do not live, they are metalic skeleton like monsters only bent on killing life, there enemy, the eldar, have been fighting for so long now they are running low on resources, and will soon fail, knowing that if they dont do something all life in the galaxy will cease to exist. They disguise one planet to make it look like theres no aptnosphere, and as such no life can exist, this is where the time line splits, there plan fails and earth remains the same, the necrons reach earth, and with the powerful technology they quickly have taken over half the earth, fighters scrabble, ships mass in the sea and tanks role to the front line, but are quicly destroyed no matter how powerful they would be to any human, how ever, unseen to the eldar they didnt kill every human, in fact hardly any died, the Necrons realised with no life in the galaxy there would be no food, and now earth is there home with a slave race, the humans, some humans are slaves some are food, the problem is they never know whos the slave or whos the food, now the hope lies in the hands of the ever growing rebel force pn the planet.
