((It's here! Random Quest! The only semi-DMless campaign out there!...

Now, for this to work effectively, everyone needs to participate in the actions that can't be controled by the dice, like NPC reactions, or monster attacks and what-nots. Other than that, this is basicaly a structured freeform role-play....oxymoron much? sweatdrop ...))

You all shall start somewhere near the main gates of Uoirheer [check the map], a large Human city with a population of 23,000. More than just Humans live here, many Elves from the west and Dwarves from the south have taken up a residence inside the protective walls of the city. North of the city...[Oh Hell, just check the map ><]...The city seems to be well structured in the way that the locals move about, but there seems to be no overlaying feelings of something darker.

Morning, some clouds with a chance of precipitation, possibly getting into the higher 70's near the afternoon. Keep those umbrellas handy, however, because towards Gurindie [Friday], it looks like it may pick up to some thunderstorms <.<...

A small figure sits just outside the gates, munching on a warm breakfast. The lack of fire around or in fact any means to make fire imples he bought it in town, simply taking it out here to eat it.

Mag exited his master's mansion, raising a hand to look toward the sky. "Another beautiful day..." Mags sighed and walked further into the town, namely the business district. Work has been a little slow lately, it seems no one has been needing him for anything. If all else fails, I guess I could wait the day out in the tavern... He shrugged to himself and began strolling from vendor to vendor, seeing if anyone had any in-town work for him to do.

Sarjak, the incredibly tall lizardgirl, gathered up her things in her bag and prepared for travel. Yellow pupiless eyes looked up to the dark skies, though she thought nothing of it. At least rain could bring fresh water. She would start to head out to the outside of the city, though walked with no real emergency. She took time to admire random potted plants on the way, keep an eye out for anything off in the city's calm atmosphere, and even toss a gold coin to a homeless she had passed by. Besides her rather brutish and alien-esque appearance, it was easy to see she didn't think less of anyone or anything around her. A big peaceful beast, really.

She would eventually arrive to the center of the town and pause there to sit down and make sure she had packed all she needed.

Several homeless are disturbed from thier sleep when a small dark object rolls out from a small tree and hits the ground with a loud thud. The creature rolls around for a bit, struggling with its small hoard of apples gathered from earlier that morning, before standing up. This oversized Toad gathers in his surroundings with large unblinking eyes, then seeing that he's in no real danger, sets off through the city in search of...well, something entertaining.

He eventually comes to a stop by the street markets to watch thier respective owners set up shop for the morning. Pulling out a few juicy apples to munch on, he stares off into the morning, shruging off what was left of the chill from last night. This city held little for him, he was a nature-boy who disliked the feel of an Inn. Sleeping in the tree made his back stiff, but it was nothing some normal morning activity wouldn't take care of...

[DM]Many of the local commonfolk still glared at these creatures that walked their streets. Most direct confrontations had passed months or even years ago, but many still didn't like the idea of having monsters within their city. Still, they hadn't really done any harm, so there was really nothing for it but to sit and gripe. And a few dirty looks.

There were of course others who were more accepting, where they could find employment, and shop without having to deal with "subjective" prices.[/DM]

Mag sat in the middle of town square, resting against his spear. He let out a sigh before taking a look at his surroundings. He watched as the various people of the town chatted and walked their blissful day away, taking in the activity of the morning.
Let's see...a gnome woman purchasing things...young couple making out in the shade...a lizard woman checking her bag...an elven bard playing music...heh, I like that tune...a dwarven food vendor selling his wares...shadowy man running with purse and a human woman shouting after him...wait, what?! Mag shook his head, stopping his day dream as he watched an apparent thief run through the streets with a tanned hand bag and a woman yelling at him to come back with her purse. "Damn it, there's no money in this..." Mags immediately took off with the chase, strapping the spear on his back so he can use both hands.

The small Halfling pulled himself from the gutter. Rubbing the side of his head as he looked around, "Cripes.." He shook out his hair, putting it in a pony tail again. Gathering his equipment, he looked around. peering over at the stalls, "Easy targets.." The looking at the tall lizardfolk near by, "Oh, that one seems like fun." A sly smirk touched his lips as he scanned her, looking for any valuables on her, and stuff he'd want.

The small Toad jumped a little when the tranquility of his breakfast was interrupted as two people blasted by him...well, one of them was a "person" anyway. Still slightly groggy, his attention diverts to the foot chase. Ignatius never had any dealings with a Hobgoblin before, but he had fought the smallers cousins of one, so his opinion of such was of what others have told him.

One wielding a spear chasing after a terrified man? That sounded like normal morning activity....

He trailed them well behind the chase, not worried about if they would notice him, but more so about getting trampled underfoot.

By the gods! Where would they be going?...

Sarjak looked up as she saw the chase begin. Swiftly she took her bag and set it on her back, and took wide strides to go after the two who were running. Gathering that one was a thief and the other was thinking of catching him. Sarjak would continue to run, most likely passing the hobgloblin and try to grab ahold of the thief's head or the back of his shirt. Being tall has it's advantages.

Kevven blinked, "Hm.. the provendor's gettin' away." He cursed quietly, and tailed her. Attempting to make sure she'd stay in his field of vision, but not so much that she'd see him. No need for moving quietly, his footsteps would blend in with the noise going on.

The theif fakes left, then ducks behind a fruit stand into an alley with lots of boxes. Obviously, he's thought this out thoroughly and has worked these streets for a long time.

[Anyone who wishes to pursue this theif, DC 37 Sense Motive (basically you need to roll a natural 20 and have a bonus of at least +7). Anyone who fails that must roll DC 20 Spot.]

Kevven's quick eye spotted the thief as he made a turn down the alleyway, saying in a singsong way, "I see a lazy thief~" A hint of malice along his voice as he drew his crossbow, "What do ya think yer doin'? These is my streets. You gotta answer ter me fer stealin' off'em!" [Roll for initiative +5]
