Story MaryAnne Harmon and her husband Grant, ran a orphanage for abandoned children and misguided children. They worked their hardest to keep these kids safe, well fed and well kept. Everyone thought of them as a loving, caring second parents. One day, they were both murdered by MaryAnne's brother, Victor Van Slaught, who was after the money she had been 'Wasting' on these children. He soon took over the orphanage and treated the children like slaves. He would beat them, not give them supper and also, he would lower their self esteem, making them closer to killing themselves. This is the story of the orphanage Kids and Mr. Van Slaught.

The kids are getting sick of all this bullcrap. So they decide to do something about. Some of them are going to runaway, others are trying to contact people on the outside world. Some of them are planning to kill Mr. Van Slaught, but thier henchman are aware of their little schemes. But some of the kids that belong to the orphange have good skills that can help them get justice. The kids are determined to get rid of Mr. Van Slaught and his buddies.
The ages range from two to eighteen. If you want to be a staff member you have to be over twenty three. Mr. Van Slaught must be over thirty. And his henchman that he ordered to abuse the children must be over twenty five. There are a total of one hundred and fifty children that belong to the orphanage. So you can be more than one character if you want. Most of the kids that belong to the orphange have problems of thier on as well. But you get to determine what their problem is.
Basicly it's open ended. Do what you want as long as you bring justice to the kids of the orphange.

Rules 1. Be semi literate. I want full sentences. I don't care about how many sentences you do. You can do One liners, but I would love you if you did more.
2. I want you to post in size nine or ten. It just gives the threa a clean look.
3. To make sure you read the rules put 'why did my parents have to die' as the subject header.
4. Be nice to all in the roleplay. I don't want any ooc fighting. It's stupid. If you have a problem with someone contact me and i'll handle it.
5. Make sure you spell everything correctly. No *'s for actions. Speak in third person. Most of us pasted fifth grade so we should know what literacy is.
6. Romance is allowed. It's bound to happen between someone. Just no getty jiggy in the roleplay. Go to Pms and do that mess.
7. For the guy who plays the Mr. Van Slaught, no killing the children. Besides that do whatever you want to them. Rape em, beat em, knock thier teeth out... whatever you want.
8. For the orphans if you want to kill yourself notify me in a pm.
9. If you want to quit the roleplay make your character kill themself.
10. If you do enter the roleplay, don't leave. Just don't post and leave. It's annoying.

Age: 18
bio: He ran away from home because he felt his parents were not treting him well. He lived on the streets for about three days, eating food he stole from the market. His clothes were tattered and old. There were rips all over the cloth. The next day as he passed an electronics store, the news was on in all of the televisions. It was saying that a couple were killed in their home. He wasn't interested so he started walking away, but he had caught only one last word. It was Kingston. He then realized that his parents have been murdered.
Personality: Very outgoing, and loves to mess with people. He is the kind of guy who doesn't care how he dresses and how he looks. He is a people person, trying to meet people left and right. He gets angry very easily once you start insulting him. He can be a very good friend when he chooses too, but only if it's a big problem. He is sometimes extremely lazy, and does not do much at that kind of time.
Your problem: Jason is too much like a rebel. Once there is something interesting to rebel for, he'll be there.
Special ability: Uses his brain wisely at times to solve a problem. To make this description short, he is smart when he wants to be.

bio: Not much is really known about her past. When she was eight she was dropped off at the orphanage by someone who had found her wandering the streets. The orphanage took her in, and the rest is history.
Personality: She has her introverted moments. Over all, however, she is usually nice and loves to talk and be around her friends. When she gets angry, however, she can be very mean and stubborn.
Your problem: She has a bit of a problem with stealing things… but only from the henchmen.
Special ability: Animals seem to really like her.

bio: Katie was around five when her father died in a car acident. Her mother tried to take have of her afterwards, but it became to hard on her mother. Later that year, Katie's mom couldn't handle taking care of her by herself and dropped Katie off at the orphanage. She's been there ever since and grew to like it...until Victor came. She has never done anything to rebel against him, but hates him very much on the inside.
Personality: Very shy and quiet. She likes to keep to herself and avoids most people. As she has gotten older though, she has been working on talking to people, but never communicates well. She's gotten used to just drawing and reading in her room. She is usually seen with a detective novel at hand.
Your problem: Doesn't talk enough and always seems depressed, though she isn't always that sad
Special ability: She is able to sneak around really easily without being caught...yars of experience

Bio: At the age of 9, Miyako and her sister, Aiko, were orphaned and destined to live as so. Miyako has rarely laughed, smiled, or played happily since then. And since Slaught's reign withing the orphanage, things have gotten even worse. Miyako often writes peoms in her journal, although she thinks that they are done with little skill.
Personality: Secluded and sarcastic, Miyoko isn't known well among the children, except for her sister, although she has been there for several years. The adolescant rarely shows emotions, although her poems are engulfed with them.
Your problem: She totally ignores the rules. She has been punished several times, but she doesn't care. As long as Slaught is in a bad mood because of her, she's fine.
Special ability: She's has an amazing amount of endurance, and is able to figure out any puzzle, lock, or riddle.

Age: 10
Bio: At the age of 2, Aiko and her sister, Miyako were orphaned because of a fire, although she always thought that the orphanage's owners where good parenting figures. She's very gifted, and way to cute for her own good. She's also an optimist, always trying to cheer Miyoko up. Everyone tends to love her, except Slaught.
Your Problem: She super naive as well as gullible.
Special ability: She's a freaking genius.

bio: Victoria ran away from home because her parents never seemed to care for her. She was yelled at everyday for nothing and her brother got the attention when she was pushed aside. She was always put down and ignored, by everyone.
Personality: She is shy and quiet. She often acts like a caring mother figure to all of the others. The staff members abuse her for it but she takes it. She does what she can to keep the others as safe as she can.
Your problem: She cares more about others than she does herself. She puts herself in danger to protect others.
Special ability:Victoria is very smart and is someone thats easy to talk.

Age: 16
bio: Silas once had a very happy life. He had a younger sister, a mother who loved him, a dad that played catch with him. But all that changed once his house was caught on fire. It was Silas' fault. At least that's how he sees it. He was playing in the backyard but hurt himself when he fell off the swing. His mother ran out the kitchen and tried to help him, soon the house was in lames. His mom was cooking and the pan caught on fire. She rushed back into the house to save his sister. She never came back out. His whole family died that day. His father was engulfed in the flames while taking a nap. He blames himself all the time. He was sent to the orphange afterwards. No families wanted to adopt him because he was depressed. He often just stays in the corner and weeps. But with the medicine he's taking, it's making him a little better.
Personality: Silas used to be a normal happy boy. Until his family was killed. After that he became very shy, not talking to anybody, He hates to make eye contact too. But he cares for all. Likes everyone and just wants to make a friend. The medicine he's on is making him slightly better. Now he'll talk to the kids sometimes. He really is a sweet kid.
Your problem: He is severely depressed. also he has a mild case of insomnia.
Special ability:He is really strong. When he wants to be.

Age: 18
bio: Leon was 3 when his parents died so he was left alone to take care of his brother. A year later when Leon was 4 his small brother, Kevin, died. He was alone for another year until he decided to go to the orphanage.
Personality: Leons a caring guy but he tends to get angry easily. He's a great guy who cares about others but he doesn't like to be messed with. He will protect anyone dear to him.
Your problem: Leon's a rally nice guy but he hans an anger issue
Special ability: Leon cares a lot about everybody.

bio: His parents died when the building they were in collapsed. Since then he has hidden himself behind technology books and knows a lot of today’s technology. He has made Victor van Slaught’s computer malfunction on multiple occasions, just simply out of revenge for the beatings.
Personality: He is quit the geek. Finds it funny to mess with his friends and annoy Victor van Slaught. Quote’s famous peoples, games and movies often and tends to compare himself to them.
Your problem: Ricardo is a bit insane. Or as he states it himself: ‘My parents got killed, as a result I’m freaking nuts.’
Special ability: Simply put: There is not a machine he doesn’t understands. He can repair everything very fast, even when low on recources.

bio: His mother died when he was young and so did his father. He grew up with his brother...Ozzy lionheart. So when his brother got the new job at the orphanage he also had to live there. He always hated his brother. His brother would always hit him. But after Dante rebled once and broke out of his teeth he has been afaird of Dante ever since
Personality: He likes to talk alot and protect girls. He likes talking to gil expecialy. He is laid back and tries not to get in trouble but promblem always finds him. He thinks alot and is very smart he knows how to get out of trouble withou getting hit

bio: Greg`s parents died when he was 11, so he and his sister Luna were sent to orphanage. He is overprotective of his sister, Luna, and he usually finds himself in trouble becasue he rebels. Greg used to train using a staff that his parents gave him before they died, so he knows how to use it well. It`s a metal staff that can shrink to the size of a glow stick, or to the size of a normal staff. He is over protective of his siter.
Personality: Loves to cause trouble for Victor and his henchmen. He is a happy guy that loves to laugh, but when it comes to causing trouble, he is usually there.
Your problem:He is very rebelious, and almost never listens to anything Victor or his henchmen say.
Special ability: He is an expert in fighting with his staff.

bio: Luna is Greg`s little sister, yet she thinks he`s over protective. Luna can`t remember her parents, so she doesn`t really miss them. Luna loves rabbits and anything that is fuzzy and cuddly. She has a teddy bear named Bo.
Personality:Hyperactive, she almost never stands still, she talks too much, especially when she is nervous and she loves anything fuzzy and cuddly.

Victor And His Buddies: Gaia Name: Karavi DEAD! WOOT!
Name: Victor Seth Van Slaught
Age: 35
Bio: Victor had always been different. He liked to torture animals and cause harm to everyone. He was mentally disturbed, he liked to watch horror movies, read devastating stories. All of that stuff. When he thirteen he started working out to acquire more strength. He has now built up a massive body of muslce, nothing but power is on his side. Also he took up boxing so he knows how to use his guns. When he heard his sister was spending good money on little brats he became furious. He killed her took over the orphanage. He painted everyroom gray and black. Put up high metal walls so no one could see in, pulled up all the flowers and detroyed everything that looked nice. Next he began to beat, torture, and kill some of the kids. He set up examination room in the basement where he preforms surgeries on the kids to fullfil his satisfaction. He even bagan raping some of the children. Mostly the girls.
Personality: Victor is very mean. Evil really. He has no respect for anyone. He has never cried amd rarely has any facial expression. He finds satifaction hurting others. He become offened at some things and loses his anger easy.

Bio: Carter was a good boy up until highschool. He got sick of the bullies beating up on him because he was smart. So he joined forces with Victor. He being the brains and him being the muscle. They became close friends and were always by each others side. So of course he went with him to the Orphanage. He actually likes his job. Taking out his anger on the kids.
Personality: Carter likes to laugh all the time. He's not really a mean guy. Just bad. He only beats the kids because Victor tells him too. Plus he's getting paid for it. Sometimes you can find him playing with the kids. But rarely. He actually helped one of the kids exscape before. I guess you could say he's one of the nice henchman.

Bio: He always hated kids...but this was the only job he could find. hen he saw that he could do what ever he wanted he started to like this job. He was 25 when he started this job and he's 27 he is one of victors crew members
Personality: He dos not care about the kids promblems if they say something he does not like he will hit them and if it's a girl....let's just say they will never be the same again. He is mean to everyone unless he is in a nice mood

Age: 24
Bio: After living with deaf parents, Aurora wanted to live in a world of music. Unfortunately, because she had about as much musical talents as her parents, she decided to be a doctor for the less fortunate, and became a staff member at the Orphanage. Despite the cruel headmaster and even crueler henchmen, she does enjoy being here with the kids.
Personality: Unlike the henchmen, she is very warm-hearted and kind. Her office or bedroom is a haven for the orphans who want to be able to confide in someone, or want healing, either physical or emotional. She's also very opinionated and isn't afraid of Victor, and she will stand up to him in confrontation if she feels such an action calls for it.

Katie sat in her room, reading one of the books she's read a million times before. She hasn't been able to get new books because Victor won't let them buy anything new. Katie flips through the pages, already knowing what happens in the book."Man...I need some new books," she said putting that one down.

Jason walked through the door with his arms trying to keep something inside his jacket. He looked around looking for Victor. "So he's not here right now..." He took out a ham, and set it on a table. He had stolen the ham from the market, hoping it was enough for everyone in the orphanage. Victor didn't really give them much food, so this was his usual solution. "Okay! Everyone, come over here and eat before Victor comes!" He had shouted knowing that everyone was probably in their rooms.

Katie heard Jason yell about the food. She got out of bed and got dressed. She walked out of the room and down the stairs. She followed where she heard his voice and found him. She didn't say anything when she saw him. She just looked at him and the ham and nodded.

He looked at Katie sighing. "Still as silent as ever, eh Kate?" He tried to give everyone in the orphanage nicknames. He never really liked calling anyone by their actual name. He sat down on the raggedy couch that Victor ended up buying after selling their other, comfortable couch. The nickname he gave Victor was Mr. Slaughter, considering his last name started with the first six letters of slaughter.

Katie nodded slightly and looked down. Like usual, she couldn't think of anything to say, but manage to say a few words."Thanks...Jason," she said, knowing he probably sneaked out and got the ham. And if Victor had caught him, he would be in a lot of trouble. She waited to see if anyone else was coming down.
