 The yellow water buffalo quietly made his way towards the river to get himself a drink. It seemed to be safe, so he would hurry just in case there was anything to be worried about. Kitchi puffed up a little bit to make himself look bigger then he actually was. He put on his little 'no body is tougher than I am' act so that no lion would ever thinking about maybe trying a taste of him.
Secretly, the little water buffalo was a chicken. Every now and then he would jump at the sight of his own shadow, but of course, he would cover it up with some excuse so that he didn't look as wimpy. His blue eyes gazed around for any danger that might be lurking in the area. The fear that he felt was covered up by his macho look as he finally reached the river and dipped his head down to take a sip of the water. He took in a deep breath and tried to calm himself down as his eyes kept a close look out as his tail swished at flies that were trying to eat him alive.

A sand colored lioness peeked in her head bewteen the tall grass to get herself a drink as well traveling this far always made you thirsty she leaped up some water with her tounge and wagged her tail happily at the same time. The lioness had brown eyes and a sand and white colored fur that blended in well with the grass around her but she wasn't really out to hunt just to get herself some water so she didn't really cared if she got seen or not.
Pona was always happy looking with a smile on her lips and she was pretty childish as well and took life as it was she was curious of everything so it was a miracle she survived that long as a cub but she had her friend Ona to help her at that time. Now she was trying to find her gome somewhere else to find out who she was and where she belonged in life.

Kitchi heard the sound of someone getting a drink for themselves. His heart seemed to skip a beat, but he stood tall and had a fearless face on. No one would suspect him of being fearful in any way. He readied himself to either hit this creature with his horns, or quickly run away in fear like her normally did whenever danger was around.
Quietly, the small water buffalo made his way around so he could see what was making the noise. Once the lioness was in view, Kitchi froze in his place and stood perfectly still so that she wouldn't see him and maybe leave so he could be on his way. During this whole time, his chest stayed puffed up and his face stern.

Pona noticed then a yellow little creature with fluff she had seen a few of those before but they didn't really interest her well not riht now since she wasn't hungry just thirsty but he or she was probably afraid of her anyways.
" You don't have to be scared little one...i had my meal a few hours ago i am just stopping to get a drink "
She said kindly and put her mouth down again to drink some more water. She know she was close the Pridelands now and soon she would meet that pride she had heard so much about. She had already been shown the way by a maned wolf and she didn't think she would lie about the way.

Kitchi blinked at the lioness and kept himself puffed up. Little one?! He wasn't little, he was almost just as big as she was if not just as big as she was.
"I'm not scared, and I'm not a little one." He spat out defending his pride. A small stomp of his hoof sent dirt spreading up into the air a little.
When the dirt settled down, he let out a snort and showed himself better to the lioness to show how big he really was. A fearless look was grazed acrossed his face as he waited the lioness' answer to him.

She peeked at the apparently male while she drunk some more oh so he wasn't little? well maybe that was the wrong word but she was sure stronger then him but maybe he liked teasing lions? she grinned happily and stopped drinking...she flicked of some flies with her tail and looked at the male.
" Ah well you might not be little but i know i am stronger then you~~ but relax ok i wont try anything "
But maybe he was afraid after all? but he sure didn't look like he was.

Kenji blinked his eyes at the lioness. Was she trying to play a trick on him? Either way, he would keep a very watchful eye on her. If he wasn't puffed up, the water buffalo would be much smaller then he was at the moment, but he wouldn't let anyone know that.
"If I relax then you will eat me!" He said as his yellow and white tail slapped at another fly that bit him.
His heart skipped a beat at his words. Maybe she would attack him if he pushed it too far, but he couldn't help it. It was as if he had two personalities, but he only let one of them show, which was the more ignorant of the two personalities.

The female layed down there she was sitting for the moment now her stomach was full of water witch felt good but she also felt a little heavy for food and then water <3 ah well maybe she could rest a little before she continued. She continued to peek at the horned male from time to time he sure was cocky but so was she..
" I usually don't like cocky creatures but i think you are cute~ "
She was in a good mood since her tummy was full and life just felt ok at the moment. And eat him? no no she couldn't fit him in there at all and it was to hot to hunt and well she was already full.
" I am sorry but i can't eat you...i am already full you see "

Whenever the lioness laid down, the water buffalo stayed standing, but calmed down a little bit. His ears, which were pinned straight up, were now twisting around a little bit. Sounds such as birds chirping seemed to pull his ears towards them.
"Well, I guess I can trust you wont eat me, since you think I am so cute."
He didn't like being called cute, but he wouldn't fight with the lioness. Handsome seemed to fit him better in his mind.
"How would I know you are full though?" He asked, as his eyes stayed on her, just in case she decided that she did have enough room for him in her belly and if she decided that cute creatures tasted very well.

Pona was tired and her paws was hurting a little as well since the ground was hot and she had been walking really far for a while now. Tough Pona didn't know that she was actually pragnent since she wasn't very far gone yet she didn't really feel any symptoms and the handsome male she met a few days ago was just a little fling she had for a few days but it had been really fun since he was pretty much like her but they where pretty much both airheads since a female and a male being together usually leaded towards babies.
But everything in Pona's life was an adventure so she was probably going to tell her cubs when they where born that their father had been a really fun and strong male that was searching for some adventure. But Pona was more a teen then an adult accourding to herself but she was a little naive sometimes..
" Well if you take a good look at my tummy you will see that someone as big as you wont fit~~~ "

Kitchi nodded his head in agreement. "Of course, I am way to big for you to eat." A small gulp slipped from him as he thought about who was in the lioness' stomach, hopefully no one he knew... even though he only knew a few others, he was still a little bit on the worried side. "Well, it seems that you are tired, and need your rest." He said as an excuse to somehow get away from the lioness. It didn't feel to comfortable as being the prey and the stalker right next to you, claiming that they had a full stomach and wouldn't try to chew on your leg.
"I must bid you a due." He said quickly as he turned a random way and began his quiet and lonely journey to know where, hopefully he would find some protection on the way, or at least a friend that would keep him company. His blue eyes took a good look at the female lion for one last time as he scampered off, still trying not to look afraid of any old lioness.

Pona nodded and started to groom one of her paws a little as she continued to lay there she was. And the cubs that was growing inside her was probably happy as well since they got plenty of energy and stuff to grow now.
" Awww you already leaving...but it's ok i understand but who knows maybe we meet again sometimes and i promise i wont eat you then either "
She tought she would recorgnize his face atleast even if she didn't know his name.
" If i ever try to eat you just tell me my name and i probably wont...it's Pona ok "
Since it woul be ugly to eat someone that knew your name right? and she hoped that the male would feel a little more safe now.

Kitchi nodded his head at her words. As he stopped in his tracks. How could he leave without giving a proper closing? He soon turned around and bowed his head down a little in gratitude that the lioness hadn't tried to eat him just yet.
"It was nice meeting you Pona, oh and my name is Kitchi." It didn't seem right to know one's name without them knowing your's in return.
"Well, good bye Pona." He said in his toughest sounding voice as he spun around and began on his journey to no where.
