His eyes settled as he rolled himself onto his back, basking in the bright sunlight, purring with pure satisfaction. Tahka was in complete bliss right now and not a worry passed his tiny skull, he simply wanted to sleep like this forever, untouched by worry or stress. He wanted badly to flee from his mother's side today, knowing that today was HIS turn to learn to hunt, one-on-one.
He just didn’t care for it and his body’s muscle wasn’t quite as strong as his sibling’s, so he always felt slightly left out… every time they went hunting-training. His red eyes narrowed open slightly as he sighed, moving himself up so that he could gaze down at his twin sister.
She had been doing her own thing, but they were never far apart. Where he was she was, always.
“Lets run away for a day, just me and you.”

"Hnnmm?" Sarafina murmered as something rolled into her. That something turned out to be her brother and Sarafina threw an arm over 'it' and snuggled up against it. Normally she was up at the crack of dawn, but her ordeal in the graveyard had tired her tremendously. She nuzzled into his fur and attempted to return to sleep when he spoke to her. "Tahhkaa," She groaned, annoyed at his prodding when she wanted to sleep.
It didn't last long since, now that she had been awake, her body began to push her to open her eyes and get to her feet. Finally she did look at him, refusing to raise her eyelids more than halfway, and gave him a baleful sigh "Run away?" Well.. so long as no one else tagged along that could be okay.
"Can we sleep when we get there... wherever there is?" The female slowly pushed herself to her feet, stretching out beside him and flashing her claws to the air as well as her teeth.

“We can do whatever we please.”
He smirked and wrinkled his nose some.
“We can go wherever you want...”
Something inside of him wanted free and he lusted for this day after day. He wanted to be without worry and the rest of his family, he could live fine with just Sarafina at his side. His bright eyes narrowed as he slowly nudged her before nipping at her neck roughly. He purred.
“So, where to sister?”
His tiny fangs let go of her neck-tuff as he quickly moved himself away from her, knowing full well that she would take a paw to his face if he continued to play with her in such a manner.

Sarafina rolled her eyes as she got up. He was so indecisive, or at least he seemed that way sometimes. Odds are there was something to what he said, something that.. she couldn't even begin to fathom. Yet, anyway. The female stretched herself out, claws scraping the cave floor, and then followed him outside. "Alright alright..." She looked about the morning-shroud Savannah pondering where to go. That monolith of stone rose in the distance, calling to her curiosity once again; a home that should have been theirs. "... lets go there," She nodded to herself, already moving in that direction.

Tahka snickered at her as she started to walk away. He knew where she wanted to go. He knew it well. His red eyes narrowed as he slowly took after her, following her in toe as he spoke out.
“Sister, why is it that mother never goes to that place? You’d think she’d be dying to go and see it.”
He sure knew that he was. He had always been intrigued by it, Tiah spoke out about Taka so often, and her past mother and live that he couldn’t help but be so interested in what they were and where they came from. He wasn’t stupid nor was he blind. He could tell that the male they called father really wasn’t that. None of them took after him, not in any way, shape size or form.. But, he would never say that aloud in fear of his mother punishing him.
His paws tip toes quickly as he followed Sara, making tiny noises as he swore under his breath. He hated walking long distances, he really wasn’t built for that kind of thing.
“Tufah told me she has seen the big rocks, she told me she went there before.”

"She does," Sara nodded, "She's mentioned it before, but we always seem to get pulled away from it, don't we brother?" Her voice was soft, thoughtful. She too had long since reached the same conclusions as her dearest of brothers but she'd spoken of them neither, despite that she doubted Tiah could do anything to her that would truly hurt her. Of course, Sara was almost foolishly unafraid of anyone.
Without waiting for Tahka, the female plodded onward, knowing her brother would catch up rather than be left behind. If he didn't try how would he ever learn, she thought, sensing a need for his to be a little more prepared, physically. For what, she wasn't sure.. but for something. In the distance the Pridal Rock rose from the ground, a silent monolith of power. "I think she's seen too much of it," Sara snorted, "I haven't been there... but even I have almost had my fill of that place."
It was strange to finally say these things out loud, the thoughts that she would voice to no other. It wasn't for fear that she kept them but for concern of them spreading. There were certain things one had to learn to hold their tongue about and politics was one of them, even if she hadn't yet the word or thought for such a thing.

“Mmm.”
The young male pondered as he slowly followed his in his sister’s tracks, keeping close to her in tail.
“So mother has told you the stories too then?”
He questioned for a moment, wondering if all of the family knew. His red eyes narrowed as he slowly let a sigh pass his chest, thinking to himself again. His tiny black mane fell just past his ‘brow’ and his along side his eyes, so every now and then he had to flick his head back in iteration to get it out of the way.
Growing up was such a bother.

"She has," Sarafina nodded; She'd thought all of the siblings were told the same stories--especially the ones at bedtime. Maybe the others fell asleep faster than she did. That seemed like a logical enough explanation and Sarafina was inclined to simply let it go. Instead, she brushed her side against Tahka's. "Whats on your mind, brother?" It felt like there was something there, but she wasn't certain what it could be.
