 Crash!
An old bone that Pyralis had swatted angrily at had flown a good distance, making a good shattering sound against another surface. Though, even standing still at the place he'd punted it from, even he couldn't see what it had slammed against. However, the noise was music to the angry adolescent's ears, and he found himself peeking about for more bones of a decently small size to repeat the effort on.
Over and over and over again. In his head, the weensy little voice that spoke to him every now and then and with his limited knowledge of the world, he could only presume there was a 'God of annoyingly persistant voices of reason you want to strangle' out at work. Probably the son of the 'God of whorebag mothers who ran off without saying anything'.
ARRRGGGH!
Whatever the voice -had- said was quickly buried under the overflowing memory of -RAGE- he had at his mother. Blah blah blah about whatever pride and her loyalty to whatever prince and blahblahblah. Frankly, with all things as they were, he just wanted to...
He swept his paw up against one of the bones he'd discovered, sending it flying like he had the others, before it too made the lovely sound of explosive shattering. Amazing how the sound of violence would calm one's nerves.
In fact, it was a brilliant idea in his mind. Go find this 'Firekin' place and rip the shreds out of that long-winded god-title's follower. It was just too good of a plan for Pyralis to have come up with on his own. Which begged to say that perhaps someone else had already had it themself.
Now frustrated with that, the black male collapsed his body into the dust of destroyed bone, admiring the fine powder that settled on him, before he settled his head down on his legs, the sound of irritation filling the air as his tail whipped about, continuously unsettling then resettling the dust over and over again.

A blood red lioness picked her way through the scattered bones, paws tainted by the ever present dust of this god-forsaken place. Not that Keahi wasn't as fascinated with death as the next lion, but she grew tired of the darkness, the dust, and the flames within her being that had long been denied their fury.
Her ears twitched, flattening at clattering of flying and smashing bones, pausing in her steps as one landed near her paws. She raised a brow in irritation, a far cry from the rage she would have felt had the object actually struck her.
Emerging from behind a large skull, fiery gaze fell on the dark form of her brother, perched atop his pile of shattered debris, his hide pelted white with dust. What the hell was he throwing a tantrum about now?
"You seem in a wonderful mood today, Pyr."
That was if it actually was daytime, who could tell in this infernal darkness.

The sound of one of the 'lesser' issues of his life (since siblings were -always- an issue) speaking to him, or maybe it was that god of annoying voices in your head again received the first response of a groan of disapproval, before he heaved his dust-covered mass up into a sitting position to give the red female he recognized as 'sister number Keahi' on a normal basis, and just 'Keahi' on a more-than-normal basis (AKA when he was in a pissy mood, not in the mood to say more than one word, or whatever else) a good staredown.
Oh yes, the non existent mirror of 'inside the Pyralis's head' that was set up behind the dark boy's head currently reflected the creaking gears of the part of his brain known as 'non-anger-venting-outlet of conversation' slowly turning in gear, losing all their itty-bitty cobwebs they'd accumulated from the metaphorical spider that lurked in the space (which was ironic to a layer of the inner-skull being called the 'Arachnoid Mater' or something of that nature. He wouldn't know, Pyralis didn't exactly care about the insides of skulls and the like).
"Oh yes, it's simply a -peachy- day, with undertones of dark, dreary, dusty, boring, and full of death~ Just like ever. other. FREAKING. DAY!!"
Okay, apparently the 'no-anger-venting' gears had let the 'semi-anger venting gears' do their job this time.

She rolled her eyes, tail lashing with a snap. It wasn't as if Pyralis was the only one annoyed with this infernal graveyard, or the only one who felt a burning anger toward the lioness that had birthed them, but he did seem to be the only one throwing things around and nearly hitting their sisters with flying debris.
"Don't get snappy with me, it wasn't my idea to bring us to this wretched place."
She snorted, fangs barred in irritation, settling onto her haunches with a huff to stir up the dust beneath her.
"If you don't like it you can always leave."
Not that she hadn't thought of doing that herself, anything had to better than this place. But while she refused to acknowledge the existence of her wretched mother, she did care for her father, perhaps that was the only reason she had remained.

Well it wasn't like he was -aiming- at her. Not that it was much of a consolation prize. Nor like he knew what she was thinking (there was no 'God of Breeching the Fourth wall', afterall). Her snappy statement received the response of Pyralis rolling his eyes a bit.
"And I'm not saying it -was-. The -nobody- brought us here." he hissed out the word 'nobody', pretty sure that everybody within the first 2 degrees of familiarity would know who that was referring to. If they didn't, asking was probably lethal.
Pyralis used one paw to smear the dust on his coat, making him, overall, less white and moreso dirty-looking with his paw prints all over his dark-coat, giving Keahi a bit of a glare at her suggestion.
"No -duh-. Leave here and go -where-, would you suggest? -I'm- not a map of the outside world, nor do I have an internal 'location compass'. So unless you're equipped with one and I just am out-of-luck...."
He trailed off, pondering if he'd emphasized his point well-enough, despite it being an incomplete thought.
New god lurking by--> God of bickering-siblings. Yep, totally hangin' out right there in the dreary old graveyard, havin' a good laugh.

One forepaw flexed, her talons tapping impatiently on a scrap of bone that lay at her feet. She always ended up with a headache when dealing with her brother and it appeared today was no exception.
"Wherever you want, duh."
The last word was throw back at him, as if she had flung the bone at her paws. On that note, maybe she should have, perhaps she'd have gotten lucky and it would have knocked some sense into the dark adolescent when it struck his head.
To Keahi the answer seemed obvious. Were she to leave the graveyard it wouldn't matter where she went, east, south, north, or west, so long as it was away from here. Hell, they could even go to the desert, find this pride their father had taught them about. And if they meant the 'nobody' along the way (hah, that was an interesting name for her, though Keahi preferred to just think of her as the b***h or not think of her at all), then there were plenty of frustrations to take out on her hide.

If she had thrown the bone, it wouldn't have even required that much aiming to at -least- strike the boy's ego. He rose to his feet at his sister's words, pacing back and forth to leave a lovely trail of pawprints back and forth is the fine layer of death that was just about everywhere.
"I want....." he paused to think of what it was he -really- wanted out of all of his given options, before he growled a bit, raking his claws in the ground for a bit of mini-vent without tossing anything else around, " to find the -nobody- and dig my -claws- in her!" Pyralis hissed, sitting back down again.
He desperately needed a scratching-post.
Which lead to his earlier thought. To find this 'pride of their origin' that their parents had spoken so much of, especially the nobody before she left. It was possibly the best place to start looking.
It made his claws itch at the thought. "I want to find the lands of the Firekin."

Her own red eyes narrowed as her brother paced, not bothering to shift her gaze to watch him. Keahi was hardly the most patient or tolerant of lions, and her brother certainly wasn't helping that. But at least he was doing something besides brooding and throwing tantrums, maybe he actually knew how to think after all.
"See, that wasn't so hard was it. I can't imagine it would be that difficult to find a desert, we could even ask father if you're so worried about finding it. Then you can sharpen your claws on that b***h all you want."
There was no question in her voice, only unyielding statement. If Pyralis was to leave the graveyard, then so would Keahi. Like she was going to let him be the only one to escape the graveyard, nor would he be the only one to take pleasure in rending that wretched hide.

Is she actually -agreeing- with me? Pyralis pondered internally, but didn't express externally through more than his normally bitter-as-all-hell expression. His face was probably stuck like that because he always had the look on.
Maybe it was just the atmosphere.
"Finding it? I'll just follow the horrid stench of stupid-b***h and probably turn out at the right place, regardless." Pyralis snorted, mimicking one of Keahi's earlier actions to flex his claws a bit to look at them. Poor things definitely needed some sharpening before they dulled up too horribly.
Now sitting to prevent himself from pacing back and forth more than he'd already done (probably enough to have made a lovely little ditch in the ground), the dark boy attempted to think up a good 'battle plan' for how to actually go about finding the firekin. Afterall, he couldn't guarantee that he'd actually be able to track the scent of a female who was long-gone.
Maybe they should ask their father, on that second thought. But then again. "What do we know of our homelands aside that it's a desert?"

Amazing wasn't it, two siblings who seemed more interested in fighting actually sharing a thought, despite the differences in their motivations. Unfortunately it seemed to be the only thing they agreed on, what a wonderful trek this was shaping up to be.
"I highly doubt your nose can track anyone from here, much less something that vanished so long ago."
She gave a heavy snorting sigh, a trace of disgust in her tone at having spoken of their 'mother' for such a length, a creature that Keahi preferred to ignore the existence of, or at least hope it had sank to the depths of hell where it now burned and screamed in infernal torment.
"Father said it was north didn't he, I'm sure if we walk far enough we'll find them."
Her tail twitched, the tip tracing through the dust as if it could speak her thoughts. Why did she have to think of everything? Pyr had a brain, he could use it as well as she could.

North. North. Pyralis racked his memory for what he knew of that was located to their north, aside from the desert of their origin. Well....
"So we'll be headed through the pridelands..." the dark male took a moment to fake a gag at his distaste to the lands, moreso at their being ruled by a singular female and the hoard of kids to her name, alongside that there was one little member of the said handful that was 'betrothed' to one of their pride's princess's.
'Their pride' being a term thought in terms of loosely.
"I would imagine we'd be in at -least- the general area within a day or so, trek-wise." he continued in thought after having had his mental gag-fest at the image of the happy-sappy-what-have-you pride that was located, in general, to their northern boarder.
Why on -earth- was he agreeing to let her go with him again? Oh yeah, so he wouldn't lift random cubs that got too close off into the distance with him and eat their brains out. Keahi was level-headed to his brash and instinctive ways. To an extent.

Another roll of her eyes, shaking her head at her brother's reaction. Was their anything Pyralis did not hate? She was beginning to doubt it. Keahi herself did not care much for the pridelands, they were far too peaceful compared to the militant ways of the pride they had only heard about in their father's stories. Still, she didn't hate them either, there were far more important things to focus her hatred on.
"Fine, let's go then, we can tell father now."
Again their thoughts were different, and had she heard his silent question, Keahi may have thrown that at his thick skull after all. He was not letting her go anywhere, and he was daft if he thought he could dictate such a thing to her. No, it was -she- who was not letting -him- go without her.

Pyralis returned the 'loving' gesture of the eye roll back to his sister, lifting a paw to flatten down his mane, though because he couldn't see the top of it, he couldn't tell that it wasn't needed, brushing the fluff down a bit, before standing up with a bit of a frown and a solemn nod.
"That sounds like an idea to me." he agreed on the moreso statement of fact than a question. He wasn't about to let himself and his dear sister (that title given as much sarcasm as one could in the safety of their mind), pacing towards her, but pausing once to swat, again, another bone away, making a bit of a face at it.
Why does everything DIE ALL OVER HERE??! he thought bitterly, this look reflecting on his face, before he continued to make his way over to his sister's side. "I presume that once we inform him we're leaving, we'll leave straight after that." he told her gruffly, not really keen in spending anymore time in the god-forsaken graveyard (complete with it's God of Forsaken Graveyards).
The dark male twisted his head to one side, a crack in his neck signalling the purpose of the motion, before he looked back to Keahi. "And we're -not- picking up anybody else to come along. No exceptions."
'Anybody else' being any of their siblings. Ugh, he would've probably killed one or two of them if he'd been allowed. Yes, he did hate most everything.

She sat for a moment longer, giving a final snort as her brother's latest 'victim' sailed past the corner of her vision. The sooner they left this place the sooner he'd be out of things to toss around and throw tantrums about, though now that she thought about it, he'd probably do that no matter where they went.
Rising to her paws, she turned to tread at his side. Finally something they agreed on. There wasn't much love shared between the six siblings who had been raised in the graveyard by their firekin father, and like her brother, Keahi wasn't especially willing to pick up anymore traveling companions, though she wouldn't have objected to their father joining them.
For a moment she wondered if her brother actually cared about telling father, if he would have simply left without a word had she not insisted otherwise. But little as she cared for the majority of their wonderful family, she would not have left without first telling him.
"Fine by me."
They were on their way, finally leaving this wretched land of darkness and death behind. Soon the blood would know their names, and that b***h who dared call herself their mother would suffer at their talons. Well, the sky seemed brighter already.

Then again, maybe the sun would do him a world of good, or at least give him something actually worth bitching about. Ah yes, Pyralis would soon learn his dark fur wasn't the blessing he enjoyed it to be when they got out from under the dusky sky.
"Then we're agreed."
He looked at her for a moment, before looking away to start walking through the graveyard, resisting the urge to toss anymore bones off into the distance, despite how much he would have loved to punt one at one of the other four's heads. Oh yes, the blood-spatter and all things of such-accord would have been -beautiful-. Then again, it probably would have upset their father to a degree.
Which was why he'd yet to have murdered anybody in their sleep. He -had- clawed up Aten by accident as a kid, though.
So he imagined using another family member as a scratching post once they left in search of their 'better place' wouldn't be too difficult.
