I figured I'd get this started by creating a few discussion threads. :B
Which Doctor is your favorite? Why? How many Doctors have you seen serials/episodes from? Which Doctor is your least favorite? Why?
Discuss, argue, have fun! (:

My personal favorite is BY FAR Patrick Troughton. What's not to like about him? >.> When I think of the Doctor, I think of him. It breaks my heart that so many of his serials are missing. D: He's funny, he's a great actor, his stories are pretty damn awesome (once you get past the camp and the corridor scenes). Plus, Jamie's by far the best companion and they make an awesome team. :B
Least favorite... Well, I dunno really. I mean, I've seen only bits and pieces of McCoy's serials, and the only full Colin Baker serial I've seen is The Two Doctors, which I watched solely for Troughton and Frazer Hines. XD So probably Colin Baker. I was just never much of a fan, even though I've seen very little. D:
In order: Two, Four, Five, Nine, Ten, One, Eight, Three, Seven, Six. :B

BeatriceKiddo! I've only seen the Rose episodes, but my favorite's Christopher Eccleston(sp?). Sorry, Tennant. ): I'm sure he knows he's hot. I've actually come to prefer Eccleston also. XD Used to be I liked Tennant more, but I really hated this last season, and Eccleston had more range in his performance. :B He is a hottie, though. @_@ <3

I'm a big fan of Christopher Eccleston. I liked his happy facial expression the best. So cute! He looked slightly deranged but very happy. David Tennant's a good actor but he just isn't my favourite.
I'm afraid I haven't seen the older episode. I would really like to. I think I can convince my dad into buying the older series since he's a Doctor Who fan and so is my little brother. Which series would you recommend that I get first? (I don't think they sell the very first one at the ABC store.) I'm thinking of getting the one with the doctor who wore the long scarf. What do you think?

Well, my personal favorite is the second Doctor, but the fourth (the one with the scarf) is a close second. : D If you're okay with black and white, get The Mind Robber. It's funny, clever, quirky, and imaginative. And it's what really got me into the old series. If you really want Four, I'd suggest the Key to Time series (which is season 16, I think), or for individual serials, my favorites are City of Death, Genesis of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, and a few others. There aren't many BAD Tom Baker serials, so you're pretty safe with just about anything. XD You just have to be okay with s**t quality and a decent amount of filler. (:

My favourite 'classic' Doctor is Peter Davison. When I was younger I used to watch him all the time. He was really nice and kind, not to mention funny and I still remember all the things he used to do. He is definitely my favourite. Tom Baker is a close second though, he is brilliant. I always found Patrick Troughton funny too. He's third on my list.
In order; Five, Four, Two, Eight, Seven, One, Three, Six (not including New Doctor Who, as that would be too hard to decide)
Don't ask why Six is my least favourite. First time I watched him on TV, I just had an immediate dislike for him. He just wasn't funny and "doctor-ish". *shrugs*

I've only seen the the first season of the revampment and a couple of the various other seasons- and of course what I've read about on wikipedia ( biggrin ) But I like Christopher Eccleston as well- that smile, it was contagious. And he always seemed to be teetering on the edge of madness, with a weird sense of humor quite like my own.
But, I haven't really seen enough to have a good opinion. I just think Chris should have had more then thirteen episodes. neutral
