And if you feel like it: what're your opinions on the others, too?
Just a simple-getting-to-know-you sort of question. I'll pop back and edit mine in later.

I'll have to go with the SegaSonic universe. I like that it's simple, really, even with the Shadow plotholes. And I simply just prefer to play games more than watch TV or read a comic book.
I like the SatAM continuity, as it was rather well-written and I like the characters.
Archie is okay, just very convoluted. @_@
Sonic Underground... never seen it.
AoStH: Not my favorite by any means, but I guess I liked some of the cartoonish stuff.

My favorite is probably Archie Sonic, just because I like comic books so much. Also, it takes a lot of it's content from all the other Sonic Universes.

Sonic Team's continuity, certainly. Although usually lacking in story, the main series games have always had the greatest appeal to me. I don't know why, but it seems more fitting to have Sonic living on Earth. The Mobius/animal worlds always require so much in the way of additional animal cast, but I just want the regular group of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and perhaps a few occasionally-reappearing extras.

I prefer the games' sonicverse. Sonic Underground's Mobius I'm not crazy about and I haven't seen the others..... 3nodding

I agree that Chris is an annoying nuscience who didn't deserve to be in the show, but as he is, I make do with a bad thing. I can tolerate Chris in episodes like 26 *until the "White Room" scene, which made me feel ill that a show would actually have a kid screaming suicide*
Note I keep saying that episodes 25-52 are the good ones, anything before that is crap?
It's mostly because the latter half of the series focuses more on the furry cast than the humans, they're no longer living with him (spare Cream, who only got 3 episodes of stardom, which is sad, Cream has so much potential, but you have to admit the Sonic Battle arc, as unfaithful to the source as it was, was adorable and fantastic)
I'm miffed about Chris stealing the roles and such, but in the end, he isn't as obtrsuive as everyone believes. He's a mere plot-device with dellusions of grandure. Unlike Sally he wasn't being a Mary-Sue "Everyone loves me, I'm perfect, better than the main characters" character, he was just shimmying into roles which were already taken. It's annoying as hell, but at the end of the day some of the more important scenes of the series couldn't have happened without him, such as Tails' backstory in episode 17, if Chris wasn't there he'd be talking to himself, which just wouldn't have worked.
Chris' only crime in the series, in my eyes, was being involved in Sonic Adventure 2, his role with Big in SA1 was perfect for both characters (again, Big would have been alone and a cartoon media doesn't allow for the same opportunity for monolouge as the games did)
I hate him, don't get me wrong, but the series is not destroyed by him, it saddens me to see so many people boycotting the wonderful series because they brought a stupid kid into the show.

That was an amazing post, Nuala. But how did I know that someone was going to be annoying and quote the metre-length of it?
I'll take it you're another one who got it tattooed into your brain by the oldie cartoons, game translations and comics, that the villain's name is Robotnik and no amount of present-day correction is going to tell you otherwise, right?
Not that that's a bad thing. Lord knows it took a while before I got accustomed to calling him Eggman.

Gwen That was an amazing post, Nuala. *blush* I just had too much time on my hands and was too motivated by the wrong thing at the time. smile Quote: But how did I know that someone was going to be annoying and quote the metre-length of it?
I'll take it you're another one who got it tattooed into your brain by the oldie cartoons, game translations and comics, that the villain's name is Robotnik and no amount of present-day correction is going to tell you otherwise, right? Not really. wink I'm just an old-school Sonic fan who gre up with the name Robotnik and is a bit set in her ways these days. Like you say - when you've grown up with the name, it's something you use subconsciously. The only time I tend to override that hardwiring and call him Eggman is when discussing Sonic X, since that's been his name from the start there. Quote: Not that that's a bad thing. Lord knows it took a while before I got accustomed to calling him Eggman. I'm fine with whatever name people choose to use. The only thing that gets on my nerves is people who get on my case one way or the other, and insist that I must call the character by whichever name they prefer or consider more "SegaSonically pure". It's not as though you're going to get confused about who a character is, recognising him by one name but not the other. I've never understood why somne people get so bothered about it.

I like the Games Sonicverse.
Sonic X is sort of following SA, SA2, and Heroes??
SatAM: By far my favorite, favorite series. Unfortunately, I can't get a hold of all the shows ANYWHERE.
AoStH: not my style. waaaaaaaaay too cartoony-ish.
Comics: I like the artwork in the comics, but it's been crap lately. Personally, I'll care about "Mobius: 25 years in the future" in about... oh, let's say, 25 years? As for now, let's see what's in the present.
Sonic Underground: as for SU, it was an interesting respite, with the same sonicverse as SatAM, which was cool, but it just didn't hit it off. I dunno why. Probably 'cause of the sucky 'song and dance' scenes near the end of each show.

You mean, they already had a show and they just replaced the characters with Sonic ones? Kinda like Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros. 2 (America)?
