No, I'm not in percussion, but a friend did this:

*You pull the chopsticks out of your bun and drum on your math textbook during class.

Conversely:

*You have ever used drumsticks instead of chopsticks in your bun.

- when your constantly told to stop drumming on objects outside of school cuz its "annoying"
- when youve put a hole through the head of a bass drum (haha one guy did that two years ago playin with the butt-end of his sticks)
- when ur playing the field show on ur desk in every class
- when you have the t-shirt for every show for more than the past 4 years (haha not me but...)
- when u have every fall and winter show you've been in or more on ur mp3 player/ipod

- When you're sitting in a classroom/car/room reading a text book(or doing anything really) and suddenly you hear your music playing louder and louder...an you wonder where it's coming from, only to relise you're thinking it. O.o
(happened to me one time, freaked me out)

- When you are at soccer practice(after band practice) and you play through your entire show while you pretend to pay attention to what going on.

- When you have over 90 min of work due by tomorrow and all you can think is, "I'll just practice through this cadence a few more times..."

-When you have a sibling in you line you pester them to practice every chance you get to talk to them(My bro joined the line and he is first bass this year, like I was last year, and I bug him to practice all the time because there is no way someone related to me is going to hold this line back.)

-I know there is more but I can't think of anything...plus I gotta go wrap my preformance stix...so...yeah...

One of our quads did this: When you graduate, but stay on as the percussion instructor.

Wow this is only my first year in drumline and ive already been in it to long. lol

sadly enough, i've done this.

except my version involves all four bass drums and trying to hit a mallet off of them.



once again, ive done this, except the second thing is more of after band festival.

and to add my own, youve been in percussion to long when "just the tip?" is not a dirty question.
and "we beat it till we pass out" also.
