Because, Chai finds typing histories up to be as tedious as counting ants in an ant hill.
A collection of short sort of drabbly things about my characters childhoods.

Adein sat watching his new baby brother chew slobberishly on one of those heart shaped teething rings his sister had decided the red head needed. Why would a boy need a pink toy?? it wasn't for boys.
The 8 year old shrugged as he pushed the wooden train around the playroom, his sister sat next to Jade, putting pink ribbons in his little mop of curly ginger hair. He looked so cute, sat in nothing but a nappy, a pink pacifier in his mouth as he watched his older sister weave ribbons into his hair, chubby hands trying to catch the deft hands. Amie smiled and giggled a little, kissing the top of the butterfly baby's head, enjoying pretending her brother was a little doll.
"Amie, Jade looks like a girl now" Adein whined from in the middle of his heap of toys, picking up an aeroplane this time. Amie giggled and waved her hand.
"but it's so cute!! look at him, how could he not be in pink!" his 14 year old sister argued, pointing to Jade who was still quite happily switching between chewing on the teething ring and placing the pacifier in his mouth, cooing in his own special way at his mother, who sat in a rocking chair by the window, embroidery held in one hand, needle in the other and a permanent smile on her face.
"Macy??" Shiayla asked, wiping her hands on her apron as she moved into the living room of the small cottage they were in, located on the outskirts of the northern forest. Her Husband had gone out to get some more supplies for them and she had left Macy sleeping on the couch while she got started on their dinner.
"Macy??" she asked again, spying the empty couch. All the doors were closed and nothing was out of place. Well...that was unti she spotted Macy under the coffee table, babbling as he drew all over his face in red lipstick....Shiayla sighed, wondering why her husband had not put that away after bringing it home for her yesterday.
"what a naughty baby you are Baby Tresquax <3" shew giggled, carefully reaching under the coffee table and plucking the half-breed up, snuggled him in her arms. "daddy can give you a bath when he gets back, as punishment for letting you get in such a state" she said softly, smiling, her husband hated giving Macy baths, Macy was far to enthusiastic about how much he splashed. She gently plucked the lipstick from his chubby little hands and smiled, hearing the door open.
"now, now Hyde that's a little too much zing for the poor plant to handle" came the cheerfully, wise voice of Hyde's new parent, Zabuzu, a Unicorn Elder, that had found him while visiting the travelling Circus he had been born into. He was no use for one so young, the evil one of twins and thus, they had been happy to pass the 'evil' on to an unsuspecting, wealthy unicorn traveller.
"oh.." the young elf said unhappily, watching the rose wilt as he tried sharing his life force with it. The Unicorn smiled softly and placed his hands on the pot, concentrating for a bit and suddenly, the rose bloomed into its former, ruby red, glorious state. Hyde clapped his hands.
"wow!wow!" he said excitedly, examining the flower before he gently took the Unicorns hands and examined them. Magic man!! he was a magic man!! Zabuzu chuckled and gently took Hyde's small face in his hands, examining the tattoo he had placed on the boy's cheek a week ago, covering up a scar and signifying his apprenticeship to him.
"time for a bath I think??" he asked, notcing how grubby the elf child had gotten while putting the soil in the plantpot and trying and retrying to make the droopy plant healthy again. Hyde nodded and grinned.
"kay daddy!"he said happily, jumping down from the bench in the horse-drawn carrivan and out the door. Zabuzu smiled before he pushed his sea blue locks away from his face and stood, following his son.
"Jareth? Caspian?" The Unicorn female asked, sweeping her shoulder length hair from her face as she peered around a corner in the Labyrinth. Why she had decided tag would be a game was beyond her, she usually got thoroughly lost and it wasn't until hours later that her two male friends actually realised the Unicorn wasn't following. She sighed, walking around the corner she had just peered around and peered around enough, starting as the opening she had just come through.
"oh darn!" she muttered, peering at the wall, she had had a clear shot for the centre from there, now she had to go around. "oh well.." she murmured, shrugging her slim shoulders as she turned and started walking. Jareth and Caspian were both going to buy her dinner later..or in the very least apologise.
Calentze stared at the class of quiet students demurely, being introduced as the new transfer student. He had been found late into the term by one of the many healers and spellcrafters this institute taught and unlike others, it accepted every race.
"this is our new student Calentze, please be nice and help him settle into our academy" the overly too happy teacher introduced him, did she ever stop smiling?? had she like, magically glued her face that way?? it didn't make her llook any less ugly and Calentze had to fight back a snicker at that thought as he walked to the back of the class, taking his seat in an empty space behind a Unicorn and next to a Pegasus, both male. Where he instantly looked out the window, making sure they didn't ntend for him to talk.
"oiiiiiii Cal" the Pegasus whispered, slipping his hand under the desk and poking the Dark Pegasus with a ruler, Calentze frowned and shot him a glare before turning his attention back to the outside, he didn;t need to be bothered on his first day.
"caaaaaaaaaaaal" came the more insistant whisper, with yet another insistant and harder poke with that stupid wooden ruler. Again he ignored it, before the ruler was jabbed very hard into his ribs. "owee!!shut up you annoying little git!!" Calentze stormed, standing up and glaring at the Pegasus who smirked at him as the teacher cocked her head, still with that stupidly large grin. "Calentze, please go wait outside" she said sweetly and Calentze silently complied, rubbing his bruised side as he left the room.
