Matokeo Muroki found herself some place strange. Not totally sure where it was, but she was sure this was the jungle she was trying to find her father in? Or maybe it wasn't. She shrugged as she walked carefully around, seeing how beautiful it was here. Alot different then where she was born. So many trees, shade, and other wonderful things about. She wondered what it would be like to grow up in a place like this. Though, it would be so much easier to get lost in.
The desert, where she was born in, was a lot less trees and other foliage. So it was easy to always keep view of her mother and to see if anything else was around. Her mother didn't tell her much about the different type of animals, only those who she needed to worry about. Running into two wild dogs on the way there, was strange enough. Having seen and met creatures she'd never imagine had existed.
Her paws made soft noises as she moved through the forest, the grass below made slightly squishing noises as she went. It was hard to sneak up on things in here, yet easy too. Though, she wasn't hungry, she was just testing how well she could do in here. Crawling slowly up a fallen down tree as she could see a small mouse down in the bushes below. It would be easy just to pounce on it. Her tail as still as ever, her ears back, her eyes big and focused on the little creature. All silent.. Or was it?

A big yawn came from a cream colored lioness she was currently resting but not as other lions maybe rested she was laying on her back with her paws pointing right up in the air. Pona wasn't the lioness that wanted to be an adult or look like one since she definelty didn't look like one laying like this. But Pona had always been pretty goofy but she liked being like that but she also had worries in her life like finding out what happend to her family who left her as a little cub but she wasn't sure if she ever was gonna find those answers.
The Pona perked her ears forward...was someone comming? she blinked a few times with her brown eyes but continued to stay on her back.

Completely still, her eyes continued to focus on the mouse below. Not really realizing there was someone else close. As soon as she thought it was a good time to attack. She jumped at the mouse. Though, hitting another branch with her back food made her mess up and topple to the ground. She landed on her back and watched the mouse hop away. "Darn." she said with a sigh as she rolled over to her belling.
She was rather disappointed for messing up on that. How could she have done that? She looked up and saw the branch she hadn't seen before. Well, that was stupid. She flicked her tail irritatedly.

Peeking towards some sudden noises...was that an elephant comming in this direction or what? maybe she should move then? she blinked and really tried to see what creature that could cause so much noice...her tail twitched and she decided to go nose it up or else she would never find out.
She walked trough a few bushes and spotted a large and long brown spotted tail. Oh my what could this be? a leopard or maybe a cheetah? she curiously peeked at the creature from the bush and tried to understand what it was...she had no idea those creatures sounded so much.

Matokeo flipped over and licked at one of her paws. Fine, she didn't want a mouse anyways. She'd eat something more filling, like a rabbit, or a antelope. Her attention didn't go to the female lion who had just noticed her. Instead, Matokeo really had no idea another was watching her. She pawed at the ground with the paw that she wasn't cleaning.
Thinking of another way to catch something. Of course, it would be flawless, unlike this time. Stupid stick, she could have sworn it wasn't there when she walked up the other one. Oh well, it was no point in getting angry over nothing. It was her fault for not being more observant.

Pona continued to watch the female leopard for a little while longer before she decided that maybe she would go out and say hallo? yeah that seemed like a very good idea <3 she was big enough and could defend herself if the leopard decided not to like her.
" Oh hallo there~~ "
The female called out and walked out of the bushes with a playfull smile on her lips and wagging her tail. She stopped infront of the other female...not to close of course.

Startled alittle by the sound of another, Matokeo looked up. She saw another creature. Some-what like her but not. "Hello" she replied still studying the other. Her features looked different. She wanted to ask her questions, but just sat there for a few moments.
"What are you? A Leopard?" She asked. Of course she wasn't a leopard. She didn't even smell like one, let alone look like one.

Pona giggeld a little a leopard? of course she wasn't a leopard what did the female get that from? she didn't look like one right? she had the typical colors of a lion so there was nothing strange with her.
" No silly i am a lion...can't you see i am? i am a female of course so i don't have that mane that the males do "
Pona shake her head that was the first time she had heard that...heh being a leopard.

She tilted her head. "A... Lion?" she'd never seen them before, but heard stories about them. She looked from the fluff on the females head and then down to her tail at the fluff at the end. Well, that would explain it, was exactly what her mother said the females look like.
"Sorry, Just never seen one before, that's all." She said slightly happy yet sad too. She'd never meet another leopard at this rate. She wanted to sigh, but didn't and just smiled at the other. Perhaps she was friendly?

Pona couldn't help herself and started to laugh...she almost fell over laughing she tought this female was really funny. Tears was running down her cheeks...she was laughing so much that she started to cry. How could you not seen a lion? on this place there home lions was the regular animals lepards and cheetahs you didn't see very often..
" Heh...well lions are very regular you are the one that is rare "
She said and giggeld. Such a funny female but she couldn't help herself, it took a few minutes then she calmed down.

She smiled. She knew she was rare. Or at least she figured it out by now. Seeing how she had only seen one other leopard that was he mother. "I figured that there weren't many of me." She said rather sad. "I didn't grow up around any other cat like animals." She said with a nod. Watching the lioness. Not sure if she should be upset by her laughing so hard.

Hmm well there was definelty more lions but not so many cheetahs and leopards that she knew...so she was looking for others of her kind? she couldn't remember meeting any other leopard then this girl she mostly met lions and familiars so nothing else..
" Hmm yeah both cheetahs and leopards are harder to find since they live alone...lions, hyena's and dogs live in families usually so they are easier to notice "
She had no idea why cheetahs and leopards lived alone but they probably had there reason. And Pona stopped laughing maybe she could help the girl..

Great. She'd never find the Leopard she was looking for. She sighed and gave the other a smile. Too late to go back now. She'd have to wait a while before returning to her mother. She flicked her tail. "Oh well, No need to find my own kind anyways." She lied. Of course, she'd end up finding someone like herself.
"What brings you here?" She asked trying to keep the conversation going. She wasn't use to talking to others really, especially when they weren't the same type.

Hmm maybe she was looking for someone she know? she know how she felt to be looking for someone since she lost her family at a very young age and she still don't know what happend to them still...it's sad but maybe she will see them again someday.

Oh what brings her here well right now she was just passing by on her way looking for the pridelands but that was all really and she wanted to explore this place some before she went on..
" I am looking for the Pridelands...i am just passing by really "

"Well, I... Don't know." She said trying to remember. She knew she was looking for her father, but she just realized she had no idea what he looked like, and then just switched it to looking for any type of leopard. "I guess, just anyone of my own kind." She looked kind of depressed. She hated feeling like there were none of her kind at all. Or very little.
"Oh? Pridelands?" She looked at her with a stupid look. She had no clue what that was or where it was. Nor did she totally care, but her curiosity was starting to show a little. She didn't know if it was lands she was talking about, or a pride. Though, with how she said it, it was both? She was rather confused.
