Stretched languidly across the warm shore, his belly facing the brightsky, Rengu allowed a pleased sigh to part from his lips. It was a rare occasion indeed when he was completely content. Usually, he was running away scared from something or another, or perhaps even patrolling the shore, to assure himself that there was nothing worrisome or dangerous around. However, on such a perfect, sun-filled day, he found it hard to be troubled by anything.

Rolling over on his paws, the lion brought himself to a standing position, the thought of a leisurely, non-patrolling, stroll on the beach in mind.

But first, he must clean off. Shaking himself to rid his body of the clinging sand, Rengu growled with slight irritating as he felt the curls of his growing mane bounce. Humph, the stupid patch of black hair was more annoying than anything else! It trapped sand like nothing else!

Rubbing a paw through his mane in attempt to remove more of the sand, he growled louder. Arg! "I wish I was a girl," he said plainly, more out of distress than truthful wishing. At least no one else was around to hear him.

Except there was someone around to hear him. Though, if Wacheza ever did hear anyone who didn't practically attack him to get his attention out of his own world, it would likely be a miracle. The young cub stared off, eyes glazing over as they usually did with a small cloud of butterflies sitting on and around him as he sat just out of reach from the water. He heard Rengu, but was really too deep in thought to notice him.

There were a few things on Wacheza's mind, like growing up. He was getting bigger, making new friends, getting closer to his family... but within his thoughts were echoes of what he had spent his childhood thinking about. Always thinking, Wacheza stared off, ignoring the sand that was stuck all over him. When he was out of it, Wacheeza never really noticed anything. Which would be bad if he weren't so safe in the sea pride, because someone would have probably killed him by now.

Deciding that the removal of the sand was a lost cause, Rengu took a few steps down the shoreline, his stroll finally started. It was then that he noticed the cub. Jumping backwards with a mix of surprise and fright, he stared at the cub with wide, blue eyes, wondering just how long he'd been there...and why so many butterflies were surrounding him.

Realizing that he shouldn't be afraid of a cub, Rengu took a few tentative steps toward Wacheza. The cub hadn't looked at him yet, maybe something was wrong? It was rather hot today, and he had heard of lions going "weird" from the heat.

Near enough now to touch the cub, he stretched out a paw to softly prod the cub in the back, making sure to avoid touching any of the butterflies. "H-hello, are you a-alright?" Rengu asked in his usual stutter. His tongue was an amazing thing, apparently. When he was alone, he could pronounce his words clearly and perfectly. However, the moment he began to speak to someone else, the even tone was replaced with broken words. Rather annoying, that.

Wacheza almost jolted but instead he just jumped a little as something prodded him, sending all of his butterflies away into a small flock of color that went away from the rusty red cub. He blinked a few times with his large dark eyes and looked over his shoulder at Rengu. He blinked a few more times and then smiled, tilting his head to the side in his sweet-innocent looking way.

"Oh... hello there, I didn't see you," He grinned, looking aloof and out of it as always, but sweet. As was Wacheza's tendancy to look incredibly innocent, "You're awfully big mister. I'm sorry I didn't say hello... I get out of it sometimes..." he turned and saw his butterflies fly away, "Oh... they're all gone again... Do you like butterflies mister? I do! They're a lot more colorful than I am!"

Of course, Wacheza assumed he was in no present danger. If the larger lion had wanted to hurt him, he assumed that the lion could have drowned him while he was staring off into space. But then, Wacheza didn't usually think of danger at all.
