Ew, it was SO hot outside. Tsuki had escaped her family for a little bit, and decided find water, and quickly! The air was disgusting, and it barely felt like she was breathing. As she crept through a bundle of trees, she picked up a slight breeze on the air, and suddenly felt relaxed. That meant a body of water was nearby! That's what her parents had told her, afterall. She felt mature for a moment, since she was able to find something all by herself.
She increased her speed and ran until she was out of the forest. Ah, of course she was right! She had found the beach, and all on her own! Waddling onto the sand, she nickered happily until she ran up to the waters edge. The water felt so refreshing on her legs, and she smiled happily, ignoring the scorching heat for that brief moment.
She really needed to find the beach more often, it was AWESOME.

Hey! There were -bugs- in this dirt!
It was an amazing discovery to Yaholo, whom was all but looking like he'd eat the darn things in awe of how awesome and squiggly and all over the place they were, pawing at them with one leg and-... aww, he squished it. But the squished-ness came in awesome colors at least!
"Woaah.. why couldn't I be -that- color?" he pondered out loud at the gunky-yellowish shade. If he was -that- color, then he wouldn't look so girly.. since his mommy was orange too. Not that there was anything -wrong- with his mother.
He just didn't want to be mistaken for a girl.
Sulking a bit as he wandered from the bugs, he looked about obliviously as the trees started clearing out and the ground got less muddy, his brain trying to grasp why on -earth- that would happe-
What was -THIS-?!
While Yaholo -should- have known what sand was, it was the concept that it was sticking to his semi-dirt-caked hooves that astounded him.
Now -that- was a fashion accessory. Now all he had t'do is wonder where on -earth- he'd been transported to. Sand. Water. Thing in the water splashing around. Strangest fish -he'd- ever seen.
Wait.. Fish -did- live in water, right?

Tsuki was in her own world for a matter of minutes, and was chasing the waves back and forth, as if creating her own little game. The scenario was perfect, and it was exactly what she needed as a relaxing break. Who would have known that the beach was such an amazing place! She should have wandered off a few days ago with her brother, but she was being to stubborn at the thought of hanging around her measely sibling. He could be so annoying sometimes, he probably would have ruined the scenario anyways.
But then.. she turned her head quickly to see another -ORANGE- thing staring at her. Orange? How weird! It wasn't her brother, or her sister! Plus the shade was a little different then hers. There weren't many other orange Soquili around, and her parents had expressed that as an important concern.
She tilted her head and waited for a moment, before saying anything to the strange creature. "Hello? Are you gonna come over here, or what?"
Being forward was something she tended to do by accident, but she was genuinely interested at who this young'in was. Was it like her? She really couldn't tell!

Yaholo seemed to think he wasn't noticed for a good portion of time, something he didn't take that well, but then again, it -was- only a fish that was, again, the strangest fish he'd ever see-
Holy s**t! It was a -talking- fish!
The colt leaned back a bit in a sort of 'WUH?' shock when the filly called out to him, making a bit of a pouting expression, pawing at the sand some more, before shrugging it off to RUN OVER TO PLAY WITH THE TALKING FI-.... This wasn't a fish at all!!
HOW DARE HE BE TRICKED BY THE FAKE-FISH?!?!?!
Yaholo was awkward in the sand, nearly toppling over onto his face due to this sand not being as solid as the ground he was used to walking on, catching himself shakily, taking another step, before tumbling into the salt-water with about as much grace as a 10 legged octopus.
"BAAH!" he protested to the lack of good footing, only to get toppled over again by a wave and pushed into the sand.
"DID YOU BRING ME OVER HERE TO HAVE YOUR LITTLE OCEAN ATTACK ME? HEATHENNNNNNNNNNN!!" he shrieked in protest at Tsuki, bumbling away from the shore to make faces at the water.

As the orange 'thing' came closer, Tsuki finally noticed that it happened to be a colt! He really seemed uncomfortable in the sand, and she only grinned playfully, and watched as he struggled terribly. "Need some help, there?" she said, with her usual playful voice. After awhile of watching, she almost felt bad for him, since he looked so pathetic!
But at his shout, she only put her ears back and lowered her head. "Excuse me, what?!" With a prissy lift of her nose, she then glanced at him from the corner of her eye. "Just because you SUCK at walking in the sand, doesn't mean its MY fault." With a snooty expression, she brought her eyes back to face his. "And if anything, this ocean ain't little. And it definitely could never be controlled by anybody. That's what makes the ocean so fascinating, it roams and moves freely on its own.." sort of drifting in the thought, she turned to face the shiny blue water once again, and stomped her hoof in it playfully. "You shouldn't be afraid of the water, it is calm today. If the weather was bad.. then THAT is why you should be afraid of the water." It was just as her parents had said, to never go near the ocean on a stormy night. Apparently one could get lost in its current forever!
"But anyway, why are you orange?" Such a complex question, but Tsuki was straight-forward like that.

Yaholo leered back at her as she started to counter-banter at him, stomping one foot in the sand to a very blunted effect (stupid sand..). "You heard me!" he shouted back, his mind's eye rolling mentally while he did so physically as well (not that he had any special ability that would require a mind's eye. It just made him feel special to think he had one). Go figure a stupid girl wouldn't be able to hear what he said!
"I'd like to see you prove that it's not you commandin' this stupid water to attack me! It didn't do -anything- to you! HMM? HMMM? COINCIDENCE? I. THINK. NOT." he puffed, proud of the assessment, despite the fact that this girl was going off on oceans and storms and all these other things. Blah blah bla-...
Waitaminute.
"What's a 'storm'?" he asked. In his little time in life, he hadn't exactly been shoved into 'bad weather' as a topic of discussion or an experience. Wait.. maybe he shouldn't have asked her that.
Stupid girl wouldn't know.
"And that's a -stupid- question. I'm orange because I was -born- that way. >( Stupid."

Tsuki then raised a brow, and fell onto the sand in a loud laughter. She was laughing so hard that her stomach even hurt! It went on for a moment or so, leaving the other colt in a silence while she laughed away. "Are you.. serious, right now?" she managed to sneak out, while in between a breathing-laughter state. "If you had intelligence, you would know that I am not commanding the water."
Bringing herself to stand up again, she didn't feel as angry anymore, because this colt was obviously 'special' in the ways of 'thinking.' Maybe he just had a big imagination? He didn't even know what a storm was! It made Tsuki thankful that her parents blabbered on about this stuff constantly.
"You'll see a storm soon enough, but you most certainly DON'T want to be around water during one. The sky becomes black, and lightening starts striking stuff. It gets all windy and scary.. yeah that's a storm." she then said, totally copying a description her father had given her.
"No question is stupid, obviously." she then said, while flicking her tail. "If I said that your question about a storm was stupid, how would you feel boy? I only asked because I am from a VERY orange family, and there are like, no other orange creatures around." With a light huff, she continued to watch him with a calm grin.
