Thalion - Byakko
Endejester- Balan, Genbu
Nikui - Kirai
They hadn't been traveling too long...couldn't be more than a few days, right? Out of Hige's lands, out of danger...for now. Keeping at Balan's side, she'd keep her head and tail raised...much like an alpha...even if she wasn't one, her pride held herself that high and mighty. Flaxen mirages focused forward at the dimming light of the day, skies painted an eerie grey black coloration...it was probably going to rain pretty soon.
A heavy sigh left her, ceasing her steps and turning a bit...she could swear she smelt more wolves about. Or..just a wolf, whatever...the dampness of the wind didn't help much at all--the scent of humans not too far off, either, and the familiar scent of their food...fire, home-life period caught her off guard. Travelers, most likely. Wrinkling her nose, she looked over to Balan, the wind picking up just enough to ruffle her fur.

 "BIRD! BIRD! BIRD! BIRD!", Byakko barked, tearing after a small sparrow that was currently darting between the ground, a tree, and a bush. The poor creature was hardly aware of the wolf's simple intentions and it probibly would care less even if it did know. What it saw was a blur of white sending off a constant barking sound and making jumps for it. That's all it needed to know. Unfortunately for the bird, before she could get into a tree the wolf would jump up and bark, before she could get to the ground he'd slide under her and bark, before she could get into the brush he'd dart for it and bark. The whole ordeal was frusterating for the small creature but great fun for the wolf.
Byakko was smaller than other wolves his age, slender but not sickly so. His legs were much longer than should have been normal and his fur was a bit shorter, more fine and pressed down on his body. He had a higher voice than most males and lower intelegence than most woves... at least that was the assumption. It wasn't that he was dumb, he was more or less child-hearted. Everything was a game, everything was fun, everything was a challange.
The bird finally managed to outfly his jumps for the trees and took her bit of straw into her nesting hole. The pup gave a disappointed whine before turning to spot yet another creature, a squirril cautiously slinking back to his own tree.
"TREEMOUSE!" He was up and after it in the blink of an eye, "TREEMOUSETREEMOUSETREEMOUSETREEMOUSETREEMOUSE!"

Genbu gives a deep rolling chuckle at his brothers antics. His black ears perked for sound...that "Other" wolf from before had been seen around a few times...all strange yet boring markings...he had begun to wonder if the mad-wolf might be folowing them... So its little suprise that his ears fold at the sent of approaching wolves...
The humans are one thing...he can steer clear of them and their clumsy crashings...it was these "Others" that drove him nuts...
That their sister had chosen them over the family...their grand plans for a new way to run a pack.
His tail held high...his hackles bristle slightly and he raises his head to look more stately...showing off the serpant that seems to crawl over his shoulder.

...Well this was strange. She heard the call of 'BIRDBIRDBIRD' not too far off...then a skidding sound..theeennn 'TREEMOUSETREEMOUSE'. How annoying. Snorting a bit...She then noted a squirel bolt past her feet, eyes going slightly wide at this...but she stepped back and turned a bit...then the sound of paws charging after the poor creature sounded. Quickly turning, she ran -smack- into Byakko, getting knocked over.
Her ego, obviously, was more bruised than her body was--this male was about her size...but, god. "What the HELL is your problem, KID." She snarled, and got to her feet quickly, hackles bristling automatically. She wasn't the sort of female that would whimper and whine then go behind the larger male that was, what, two feet away.
She scowled at Byakko, and snapped her strong jaws at him...well, I bet the squirrel was happy that she distracted the wolf.

Byakko's little dance ended with a hard slam that sent him to his side on the ground. The stunned wolf shook his head with a bit of a "Brrrbrbrbrbr" sound before his head sunk into his shoulders- another wolf, another big wolf, another big angry wolf. He was having terrible luck with running into wolves. His left leg still bore a very obvious scab from when he was bitten last, it wasn't bad enough to slow him too long but it was bad enough to see. "I'msosorryIdidn'tseewhereIwasgoingdon't bite meee!"
His little quick plea for mercy ended in another sharp whimper, his paws coming to press into his chest, the right leg barely escaping her jaws. He must have looked pathetic, balled up, his eyes closed, ears down, and whimpering like a starving pup under the female.

"HEY!" Comes the sharp bark...the black male cresting the hill to stare down at the grey-brown female and her silent white companion..."You...leave my brother aloneeeeee" He growls...tail and head held high. His eyes glitter as fiercely as the snake on his shoulder.
"Kirai...he didn't mean it..." says Balan soothingly..his voice the smooth chill of reason as he had proved to be on their journey.
"We are just passing through..." he says in explanation to the black male...Balan though slightly larger than the black...and certanly with more intimidating =size- for teeth...isn't much into charging into fights.
"Then let him up....Byakku! watch them...they may be "Fishwolves"..."

Byakko's eyes went wide at the mention of a fishwolf. Genbu was the smartest of the siblings, so he knew a fishwolf when he saw one. Evil fishies that had turned into wolves to get him back to eating other fishes. He turned to the female, giving as close as he'd come to a growl-which more or less was a bit more frightening than a baby rabbit-and locked eyes with her, "You won't have revenge for the other fishes!" His feet shot up from behind him and gave a hard kick to the female's chest, just enough to push her off him and to scoot him far enough back to roll and get to his feet. "Fishwolves stop chaising me! I'm faster than you, I can run- wanna see?"

She felt her entire body tense, then the other wolf came. She glared up towards Genbu, her fur fluffing up a bit to make herself look bigger...she knew she was small. But she also knew she was strong.
Glancing back at Balan, she narrowed her eyes...then the firm kick was given to her chest, and this winded her a bit...ohhh, that made her angry. "Insolent little b***h." She snarled furiously, and snapped her jaws once more, shoving forward to try and snatch up the smaller wolf's scruff in her mouth and throw him down...but she wasn't quite sure how fast this wolf was...so she had no idea if she had actually gotten ahold of him.

Byakko let out a yelping whine as her fangs came at him. He was fast- but he knew very, very little about fighting, so he'd still a lot to learn about evasion. He gave another cry as her teeth met with his scruff, the paws kicking at he air as he was lifted up and tossed. For a moment he saw everything kinda spin, and for that little moment he realized that he was flying! Maybe that's what it took to fly, being tossed by a fish-wolf. Unfortunately his flight came to another abrupt stop with the ground. He was on his side, his eyes moving around oddly, everything was blurry for a moment then completely black.
The rise and fall of his sides suggested that he was still breathing, nothing was broken, perhaps a bruise here or there but nothing serious. Unconcious, but overall alright.

Balan makes a few warning steps forward...as though to say...he does not wish to fight but he will..."The first one who tries to bite...isn't going to find the wolf they want in their jaws..." He warns Balan and Kirai both.
Its the honest truth that he will jump in to try and settle things...
"BACKoff Birchwolf..." Genbu growls his own hackles rising...his snake seems almost to ripple on his shoulder as he does..
"ANYONE touches my brother or I and you'll be LIMPING back to your lands..." He moves to stand right over the unconsious wolf...snarling his lips pullled back to say he -will- kill them... even if it breaks him...
Hes quite solid looking for someone of such medium size...not unlike a rock or stone.
And it looks as though hes planning to root himself here in defence like one. Tail still held alpha high.

She herself held her own head and tail high, challenging the wolf before her...even if he was juusstt a bit bigger than her. She snarled wickedly, "Try me," she gave a malicious smirk towards Genbu, and bristled a bit more, moving forward a step or two, till she was nearly muzzle to muzzle with the wolf before her. Wrinkling her nose a bit more, she bared her large canines at him...huffing a breath of air in his face.
"Your -brother- there should be skinned and set in the den of a human," she sneered, and would raise her head a bit more, "Maybe you, as well." That smirk never left her..anger over riding everything else. She was a bit too quick to jump into fights, obivously, unlike her companion.

He lunches forard much like the distracting snake on his shoulder...sudden as anything and much faster than expected...
His mouth clamping down on your own muzzel hard... certanly a suprising way to silence another... Its rather like being bludgened on the nose with a stone... He dips his shoulders and -throws- you with all the strength in his thick neck back towards Balan who has to jump like a fox in snow to avoid you.
Balan in answer moves between you and the once again snarling black wolf. Balan is soundless in the face of this snarls of the black wolf...whos deepening snarls sound like rocks falling down a mountan.

She had parted her maw to say something, but it was slammed closed by the other wolf's mouth. She gave a low growl into his mouth, and was -launched- away from him, hitting the ground roughly and with a grunt...sliding a bit, she'd take a moment to snap out of the shock of getting thrown..
She pushed herself to her feet, eyes wide with shock and fury, though she was moving right back towards him, upper lip pulled back in a snarl...
Ohhh, he was screwed. And she was angry. Circling him, her tail would flick in fury, and she'd lunge forward...cheap hit to cheap hit, right? She'd give a firm bite to just beside his tail...literally giving a nice bite on the rump to startle him forward, maybe, and get to his brother as a threat.

He gives a startled bark and...suprisingly....rather than wirling as most wolves would do in such a situation...he shoves backwards quite forcefuly...
and sits on you...pinning you head and shoulders to the ground "SIT" He snarls with dark humor.. "YOUR human MASTERS will apreciate your good BEHAVIOR!"
Hes -heavy- as anything..."Too bad my BROTHER and I will NEVER be seen on their hearths!"

Damnit! She gave a yelp, and was shoved onto the ground by the rump that she had just been biting. She felt her body flail and kick at the ground roughly, trying to push herself up...before she dropped roughly to the ground with a following -THUD- of her own rear hitting the ground.
Her upper lip twitched, baring her canines as she tried to calm herself down. Her entire body kept tense as he spoke of the humans--she had lived with them for a long time. Her father said that they were useful...good to train around, too.
She huffed, almost ashamed for being raised with them...or maybe it was the BUTT that was sitting on her neck and shoulders. b*****d. A rumbling growl came up from her chest.
