Bluu sniffed along the dirt as she trotted between the towering bones, her little white tail wagging happily. Ah, yes... fine day out, nice and sunny. But then... it didn't rain much in the graveyard. She also wasn't hungry... though a bite of something wouldn't be amiss right now...
Bah... She let the complaints of her body slip from her and just concentrated on her explorations. It wasn't that bad, and she was a big, strong, healthy female. It took a lot to get her down.
"Hum dum... nothing much going on today. Still as a... graveyard." She burst out in a sharp cackle at the joke, shaking her head to make her ruff of fur dance down her thick neck. "I gotta remember that... need more jokes."

Kailasa, a very new hyena juve to the Graveyard pack and area, did her daily job of scouting. That's the rank that Tukutu, an almost vice-leader of the pack, had given her. It wasn't a hard task to do, so it was no problem. Of course though, her scouting was generally very boring.. Unless a dying animal happened to stumble in. Then, there was sometimes a great feast to have.
Today, however, was different. While climbing up onto the top of the giant elephant skull that was the center point of the Graveyard, Kai's silver eyes spotted something that was definitely not supposed to be here. Out in the distance, a blue and white creature seemed to happily walk about. It was cackling too, so it seemed that it didn't care if it was found or not. Making a slight face, the grey hyena crouched down on the skull, simply watching the oncoming creature, seeing what it's intentions were first, as it was apparently alive.
So much for an interesting lesson in taking down some dying prey today. Maybe next time, or so she hoped.

The larger female laughed and sang to herself as she trotted along. Though her voice was toneless and rough, she enjoyed making the sounds far more than listening to them.
"Hum dum! Hum dum! I love to walk and trot and lope, all acrossed the land!" She cackled at the silly song, tossing her head side to side as she sang on. "The sun is hot, oh yes. My back is warmed but my paws trot on. Hum dum, ho hum!"
In the back of her mind, she wondered were Nues had gotten to. She hadn't seen that pup in a while... he was even one of the few denizens of the graveyard that she'd met. Most were too elusive to meet with the blue rogue, or she just hadn't stumbled on them yet. It was sad to think she skulked around the edge of the graveyard so much, and hardly saw another living creature beyond the prey she found over the border in the Pridelands.

As the pair of feminine silver eyes watched the blue and white creature, grey ears went down as soon as the song that this one sang reached them. The female made yet another face, still watching the creature as it walked about, all happy and everything.
"Ugh.. Some creatures just can't sing.... No offense, of course."
She didn't mean to be rude, but the singing was very rough-sounding. It sounded.. Almost like that of a hyena's, but the blue and white thing was still too far away to actually tell what it was. From the sounds of it though, it was a female, to say in the very least.
Creeping down and around a bit, Kai scampered from the top of the skull to the eye sockets, sitting in them like a raven would. The only thing that was really noticeable were her eyes, the rest of her body hidden in the shadows. Her white, partial socks on her front paws looked sort of like a very light grey in the dark, but still remained out of sight from down below on the ground. Hopefully, this female would continue to come forward, that way Kai could get a good look at her without actually being seen.
Yes, that's the way a true scout would do it, right..? Maybe....?

The song faded as the singer grew tired of it, discared in favor of something more entertaining. Ah, there! An elephants toe joint bone. It was the perfect size to fit in Bluu's powerful jaws, and a nice round shape. She growled playfully as she tossed it and dashed after, chaising it down in a cloud of kicked up dust and yapping cackles.
Now, if only she had someone to play with, eh? Then she could throw it and let them chaise it down, the they throw it and she chaises it... yeah, that would be great. Amusing herself in the lack of a playmate, the hyena tossed the bone up and tried to catch it again, dancing up on her hindlegs as she snapped at it. Fangs snapped against bone, clacking dryly.
Her toss didn't quite make it back into her mouth, bouncing right off her nose and dumping into the dirt and rolling away. She yapped in suprise as she bounded after it, paws patting on the ground rapidly.

"What? What is she doing?"
Kai couldn't help but to laugh. A blue and white, female hyena had somehow wandered into the Graveyard, and as desolate and deserted as this place was, she had already found something to entertain herself with. How could she do that? Even Kai herself had trouble with that!
With her silver eyes blinking, she continued to watch the hyena from the shadows. Hopefully, Mafa or Rasuli wouldn't return home too soon. They had gone off in search of some decent food for the pack, so that would keep them away for a little while, Kai hoped.
"She's playing with an elephant toe joint bone.. How.. Neat." The grey juve smiled, her pearly white teeth now visible.

Bluu was oblivious, as usual, to anyone watching. There it went! The heavy form landed in a tangle of limps on the bone, stiring up dust as she snarled and snapped at her toe. When she managed to catch it up, she jumped to her feet and tossed her head around, prancing around the area as though she were a pup with a new toy. Well... the new toy was right, though it'd been a long time since she'd been a pup.
Closer and closer she got to Kai's hiding spot, unaware that there was a bright young female watching her play. Even if Kai had been sitting out in the open, she might have been missed with her coloring and Bluu's current distraction with her toy. Silly creature... Bluu was lucky she was such a robust creature, or she'd have getting into a lot of trouble with other hyenas and predators for her lax attention.

Another giggle came from the pair of silver eyes that stayed up in the eye socket of the elephant skull. This younger female hyena was having fun watching this older female hyena, becoming quite amused with her silly antics. She, herself, used to be very amused by everything, but as she had grown older, her sillyness became more serious, resulting in her joining the Graveyard pack.
"Mmmm.. Maybe I should go down there. She doesn't seem to be a threat to the Graveyard or pack at all. The bones sure are taking quite a beating though."
She giggled some more, scooting herself forward, her front paws and her face now sticking out of the dark shadows, still watching the odd creature below her.

Bluu froze at the giggle she heard, pausing with one paw raised as she sniffed the air. She could have swore she heard something...
Pale eyes scanned the surroundings as she looked for whoever had giggled, long ears perked up to catch any repeat of the sound. She felt no fear, since there was little beyond a full grown male lion that could challenge her. So... it wasn't something that could hurt her, so it must be something she could play with or some such. Her white tail wagged as she peered into the shadows between the bones, dropping hers between her paws.
"Eh! Who's there?" She called out, straightening up.

Sitting up in the eye socket still, Kai giggled again, not wanting to get down just yet. She didn't know why, but this was fun, to make the hyena down there think about and look around for whoever had made that sound.
"Eh! Who's there?", she mimicked, her silver eyes watching the blue and white female hyena down below, wondering what she would do when she heard the voice do an imitation back to her.

Bluu tilted her head as a voice echoed her's, perking her ears up and swiveling as she searched for the source. "Eh?" She huffed as she lifted her head, tilting it back and forth.
Well, it sounded like a female... young.... and high up? Confused, the female lifted her head as she frowned, searching along the edges, nooks, and crannies wet up in the piles of bones as she searched for her unseen watcher. "Hello?" She called out. "Come out here... ye shy or something?" The blue female laughed softly to herself, her white tail wiggling against her flanks.

Laughing some more, Kai twisted her nose at the comment made by the hyena. Shy, her? Never! She had always been the type to just get up and go. However, playing the occasional game with someone was fun, such as now.
"Should I come out or not..?", she questioned herself. Shrugging her shoulders, seeing as there was no harm in it, she decided that she would. Getting up, her silver eyes blinking in the shadows, she delicately stepped forwards, her body coming out of the eye socket and into the light, a smile on her face.
"Did you call for me?", she inquired, trying her best to look big and important.

Bluu couldn't help a sharp laugh as the female appeared. Such a small, delicate looking female next to the large, robust Bluu... Pretty though, unlike the rather masculine female, or so she liked to think.
"Ah, there ye are. I was wondering if ye wouldn't ever come out." She laughed as she tossed her head, clearing white hair from her eyes. "Ye enjoy watching me play? Why don't ye come down an join me then, eh? Its much more fun to play with someone else than by my lonesome." Her smile was toothy, but genuine, and she dropped her head to look around for her toy.
Ah! There it was... Bluu laughed again as she pounced it and snapped it up in her jaws, turning to look up at the young female again, all but daring her to come and play.

"Hmmm.. Well, it does look kind of fun. I guess it wouldn't hurt. After all, this place can be very boring, at times."
Striding on over to the blue and white female, she watched as she picked up what seemed to be her toy yet again. Kai didn't quite understand how it could be fun, but she decided to give it a try, especially after the female gave her that look.
"So... How do you play..?"

Bluu cackled again, but it was muffled by the bone in her jaws. The need to reply forced her to drop it to the ground, but she placed a possessive paw over it to keep it in place.
"Weeeeell..." She hummed, tilting her head. "All ye have to do... it steal it from me, and keep me from stealing it back. Ye got that? Simple as crackin' bones. Come on now! Young, quick little thing like yerself, ye should have no problem with it, eh?" The large female laughed as she snapped up the bone again and danced to the side, tossing it up and catching again as she watched Kai carefully.
