Noyana had always been a long sleeper, but not today. For some reason or another, she rose before the sun today. Silently, Noyana padded to the edge of their den, avoiding tails and paws of siblings. She paused as she passed the lime green tail of her twin, Chane. She smiled at him, hoping he was having good dreams. Of all her family members, it was Chane that Noyana felt closest to. With good reason, of course. They would be identical, if it weren't for that betraying mane that Chane had started to grow. It wasn't his fault though. After a moment of thinking about him, she continued and sat just outside the den.
What should I do today? She asked herself in her head. I should get together with Chaka, we haven't hung out in quite a while, She thought thinking of her jackal -"lion"- friend. She sat, watching the horizon, pondering the endless possibilites that she had for the day.

Raising her head slightly from her slumber, Na'ilah could feel the beginning of a new day. As she yawned slightly, her lime green eyes scanned over her den, taking in everyone's sleeping form. She didn't see Siltim, but she knew that he was out with Chu'mana...perhaps he might have found someone for him. Smiling at the thought, she then noticed that a little bundle of yellow was missing. Chane's twin. Getting up softly, she made her way to the outside of the den where she spotted Noyana.
She lowered her head to lick her daughter's cheek, "You're up early, Noyana. Is something the matter?"

Noyana turned her attention to her mother, purring at her presence. Most lions her age were embarassed of their parents, but Noyana doubted she ever could be. She loved her parents far too much to do anything of that sort.
"Nothing's the matter," Noyana said quietly, not wanting to wake up her family. "I just woke up early, I guess it's because I fell asleep early last night." She smiled up at her mother. "I'm wondering what to do today, got any ideas?" She asked with a smile. Mom always knew what to do.

Lime green eyes looked at her daughter with a smile. Na'ilah bent down to lick her daughter's forehead before nodding. "I have just the thing the two of us can do!" She nodded before heading out of the den quietly, making sure not to wake any of her family up. There was a place not too far from here that she loved to go visit. Her head turned back to glance at her daughter, "Just make sure not to wander too far away from me."

Noyana's eyes brightened considerably at her mother's words. She'd always loved days out with her mother, especially when it was one-on-one. She followed excitedly at her mother's heels. "Where exactly are we going?" She asked. She couldn't think of anything that it possibly could be... "And where are we going?" She couldn't help but ask.

A chuckle escaped the green lioness as Na'ilah looked at her daughter, "Oh now if I told you, then it wouldn't be as special." The two traveled through the grassy plains, getting closer to where she wanted to take her daughter. It was nice to spend some quality time with each of her cubs.
A large hill was coming into view, with Pride's rock not too far off to their right. With a smile on her features, she walked towards the top of the hill before looking back at her daughter.

Noyana bounded up behind her mother and followed her gaze. Her mouth opened in wonder- as it always did when she really looked at Pride Rock. Often she just used it as a guide, judging where things were in relation to it. And when she looked at it then, it was just a blob on the horizon. But when she really looked at it, she was always in wonder.
"Is this the place?" She asked again. It was an, "Are we there yet?" moment.

The green lioness sat down for a moment to glance back at her daughter. With a nod, Na'ilah beckoned her to come close. "But of course! There is much to see around here, and much to tell you." She loved her cubs very much, each and every one of them. It was hard to even think that she was a mother to eleven wonderful lions and lionesses. She purred softly before pointing off in the distance to her right.
"Far off over there, way past the grassy, green plains and the Pridelands border is where I am from. I hadn't always been in this pride, but wandered for most of my life." The memory of that was bittersweet. She then spoke some more, "One of your eldest sisters, Shimah, definitely took after me by wandering away from home. It's hard to imagine, but the Pridelands stretches for only so far before it hits into the rogue territory where there are mean creatures as well as nice creatures." Her lime green eyes twinkled brightly, "But this hill...it's fun to slide down!"

Noyana knew a basis of what her mother had said. She knew that she wasn't born here, and she knew Shimah existed... somewhere. She wished to meet her, but doubted she ever would. Her eyes followed her mother's gesture, wondering if, miles away, she was looking at Shimah.
Those thoughts were broken when her mother mentioned the word "fun." Noyana's attention immediately snapped to the front face of the hill.
"How do you slide down it? I've never heard of such a thing!" Noyana asked, excited to be learning something new soon.
