It was dark in the alleyway; as dark as any city alley had ever been, despite the fact that his city was run by pokemorphs on a secluded island instead of humans. As it was the year 2107, one might have imagined the city to be much safer. And yet it was not.
It was just as dangerous as it had been a hundred years before in the human society. The only difference was that pokemorphs never needed weapons or vehicles to obtain their objectives. Primitive as they were, they were a very capable peoples, and the city had been set up not a century after the defeat of Team Rocket.
However, there was that which they had left behind; hatred and ruins of the old days still lingered. And with them, a small number of their original mistakes who passed their DNA through generations to create the hybrids of the future. It was one of these such mistakes that lingered in the alley, reminded of some place familiar and distant, but not enough to name where.
The haunter-morph was silent, his breathing slow. He had been there for sometime, but why he wasn't sure. The past 75 years he had sought answers, but he had little to show for his efforts. Recently, however, his search had led him here, to Shield City. He'd never been too comfortable in crowds with his appearance, and sadly he discovered that being around people who were just as odd-looking had made him feel no better about it. They were born that way - all these natural pokemorphs. But him? No - he was cursed to remember the fact forever that he had once been human.
The 75 years he had spent searching hardly changed him in the least - in more ways than one. He still looked the same, considering ghosts don't age or die, much to his distress. He had the body of a 16-year-old, though technically he should have been around 94. Also, he had never quite gotten over his self-loathing. Shadow still clung to the shadows like he clung to his long-forgotten past. They were all he had left, and his only protection.

A young dark figure viewed the scene, his reflective eyes shifting from side to side in the darkness of the alleyway he contained. The sun was drifting into the red of the sunset, and deep shadows were creeping over the buildings of the city. The dark figure sniffed the air, and took a few more steps down the alleyway that he had already viewed. He was an Eevee Morph with markings on his eyes and ears, and wore thick black Teni-Shoes, dark blue jeans, and a black hooded jacket draped over his long messy hair.
About to turn the corner, he stopped. There were muffled voices down the way and laughs from morphs that didn't sound pleasant. It was another gang. They had been showing up a lot lately, he had realized. It was smart to avert their gaze and to keep a clean escape if possible, so turning around he came out of the backstreet alleyway and turned onto an orange main sidewalk, painted by the sun and it's partly cloudy sky. It was sad really, half the pokemorph gangs these days were made up of large groups of little kids who hardly had any experience at all, and clearly depended on eachother to survive.
It was sad how those without parents depended so strongly on others they hardly understood, and it was sadder that those with parents felt such strong a need to avoid them just try and be strong. They were stupid, and they were pathetic, or so the Eevee morph thought. They had gifts in life, and didn't feel "special" enough to keep them. They were pathetic. He hated them, and the hatred and envy glittered in his eyes very easily.
The sun was getting lower and he felt it would be safer to enter a building than wander the outdoors alone for much longer. He turned the corner again, this time pulling into a small Coffee shop. The place had a very warm atmosphere and was painted and decorated in warm orangey colors. The small shop was scattered with four or five little round wooden tables and chairs, and at the end was a little wood desk bearing a menu covered in sweets, coffee, and all different types of milkshakes.
He looked around with a bit of a disgusted look on his face. The place was cute, and maybe a tad too cute for his tastes; although something cold and creamy did sound a little too nice right now to leave right away as well. He took a seat and waited until a young Teddiursa Morph dressed in a ruffled brown dress (Probably the Shop Uniform), smiled and asked sweetly, "What would you like, young sir?" She looked like she was around 16 or 17, and although she was cute she made him feel almost sick at how fake it looked. "Hm.." He looked down at the small menu that was propped on the table and turned to the cool drinks, "A Dark Chocolate Malt please? No Coffee." "Ok! One Dark Chocolate Malt coming right up!" She turned and left, taking his order with her.
There were a few other people around shop, but it wasn't that packed. It was actually pretty quiet, for the few people that were talking quietly among themselves. He took a deep break, pulled off his black hood, and leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head. Then he closed his eyes. One good thing was the shop was the perfect temperature, and if felt nice to just lounge waiting until his drink arrived.Wandering around the same area as the Eevee morph, a faint shadow was wandering the streets also. The shadow looked bizzarr and out of place, especially since it had no body or figure to place it upon the ground. Slanking around from one shadow to the next it finally found an empty backstreet alleyway, where suddenly above where the shadow hung a young girl with bright slim blonde hair, thick black eyeliner and eyelashes, a small pink pale spaghetti trap shirt, small light blue mini shorts, and dark maroon flip flops slowly melted out of nowhere. For wearing such a small slim outfit, it was amazing she wasn't shivering from cold.
She walked out of the alleyway, her flip flops slapping across her feet as she stepped down the common sidewalk. She didn't seem to really know where she was going, but from the smug look on her face it didn't look like she really cared. She smiled and looked happy, and it looked plainly out of place.((Uh...;(^^) Sorry, I already know it's too long! Keep forgetting my sister's are going to post in this RP... Hope they can handle it, LOL! I promise to make smaller posts from now on! (><); Sorry for the delay! Didn't mean to take so long! Things got in the way... (-_-)*))

Wandering around city was a little pokamorph girl only about 13 or 14 just by her self. She was holding a little pikachu doll with a heart locket around its neck. She was a Vulpix morph, wearing a red shirt, a pink skirt, and long thin pants under her skirt. She was usually happy and acted younger than her age.
It was nearly dark out. The vulpix morph was walking around kind of bored. A few minutes later she thought she heard voices and foot steps behind her. Feeling a litter nervous she started walking a little faster. Then suddenly a tall Abra pokamorph looking around 13 or 14 stepped infront of her. "Where do you think your going? Don't you think your a little young to be walking around by yourself!?" The vulpix morph stepped back, "And just who are you? And why are you picking on me?"
A low voice from behind her that seemed to be an Electabuzz Said, "Oh nothing, we were just wondering why you were out so late." The Vulpix morph yelled, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" She stood still, clutching her Pikachu doll. The Abra morph saw it, reached out for the doll, and grabbed it out of her hands.
"Awww how cute is this? Your doll!?" He laughed demonically. The Vulpix morph yelled, "NO! Pika!" She reached for the doll. The Abra morph held it up in the air so the vulpix morph could not reach it, "GIVE Pika back!" she yelled. She tried reaching for her doll again when the gang morph threw it on the ground and stepped on it. The rest of the gang laughed. The vulpix morph shreaked, grabbed her Pikachu doll, and checked that the heart locket was ok. She started to tear. She felt anger searge through her. Suddenly she punched the gang member that handled the Pikachu doll so terribly, first in the stomache, then in the face.
She broke free from the gang, running as fast as she could. A few seconds passed. She could hear them running after her. Turning her head to see if the gang was close, she thought she ran into someone. Falling to the ground not knowing who it was she quickly said, " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I was..." Without finishing her sentence she looked up at the person. it didn't seem to be a pokemorph. She had blonde hair, thick eyeliner, a pink spaghetti shirt, and light blue shorts. The Vulpix morph got up and hugged her saying, "PLEASE, help me! There are these ugly pokemorphs that won't leave me alone! can you please help me!?" the Vulpix, still hugging the girl, had her ears back and tears in her eyes while she waited for an answer.
If this human could not help her she'd be better off running, she thought to herself.

((Is Chelsea going to post? Beacause if I'm posting out of turn, just let me know and I'll change it.
Lol, the Abra is about as young as the Vulpix-morph and he's telling her she's a little too young?
And Kat, considering you said Mimi found an empty backstreet alleyway, I take it she wasn't near the one Shadow is at, yes?))
A dark shape stirred in the alley. It uttered a breif noise of irritation and looked up. The sound of an angry group of kids broke through the silence of the evening that was settling in. It echoed across the brickwork of the alley walls and was magnified. Shadow was finding it very difficult to concentrate. His physical form began to flicker and fade in transparency while his expression twisted in an effort to stay focused. If he couldn't concentrate, he couldn't mantain a solid form. He wanted always to maintain a sold form, for not doing so only reminded him of his abnormality.
Finally, he could stand it no longer. He took a step that was not a step; his dark, oversized jeans moved forward, as though a pair of legs directed them, but when the shapely folds lifted with each step, there was no shoe underneath. No sneaker, no sandals - nothing to even remotely suggest a foot. However, the case may have simply been that whatever sort of foot that belonged to the hidden leg was hidden underneath the oversized folds.
Not like it mattered as the figure strode toward the voices, his long strides easily carrying him to their owners. Up ahead, his narrowed crimson eyes spotted several other figures - young pokemorphs. Little trouble-makers who fancied themselves to be gangsters. They disgusted him. He quicked his pace, his jeans soon failing to touch the ground as he went. It was almost as though he were running on air.
"Hey!" he called to the juvenilles, who appeared not too much younger than himself. "What do you idiots think you're doing? I thought you guys had a curfew to keep up with." He frowned at them as he drew up before the gang, slowing his pace until he came to a halt. He highly doubted those of them with parents knew where they were, but it wasn't his problem, or his business. He just wanted the stupid kids to shut up so he could think.

Trying to find a particular coffee shop, another Vulpix, 15 to 16 years old, quickly and very quietly paced through the dark black shadowed streets. She was trying not to run into any very rude or impolite people.
She was very red orange and had bright tan tints in her fur, with very green river-like shining eyes. She had red long hair with curled ends and very straight bangs draped over her left eye. She looked quite shy and didn't talk much, but when needed talked with a very English yet American accent. She had big thick ears, greenish blue yet black capreas, and a sleeveless shirt with two straps that tied around the back of her neck. She also had one pearled pure gold necklace hanging over her chest. She was very shy and didn't smile much and is always sad, but she was very smart.
The only time she is ever happy is when she is with her step brother.
She was looking for her brother, for she was told to meet him at a certain coffee shop. She didn't have many friends anymore, for most of her old friends became involved with gangs.
Finally she saw a small coffee shop and sprinted inside because she had seen a gang with an Electabuzz and an Abra walking down the road. As she walked to a table in the very corner of the room she saw an Eevee morph. She stared at him, for he had very reflecive eyes and strange marking on his ears and eyes for an Eevee. She sat down near a table near the window where her brother could easily see her. The coffee shop felt nice but she didn't seem to really look at the scenery inside, she just stared out the window waiting for her Umbreon brother to arrive.
An Umbreon morph was wearing a black leather jacket with finger cut gloves, a plain yellow shirt, light blue jeans, and no shoes. He never wore shoes, no matter where he whent. He had bright black fur with yellow marking around his ears and feet. His eyes were like watermellon seeds with white light pupils. Then he started walking up and saw Cara inside. Cara was his little sister, a young Vulpix morph in a Coffee Shop. He went inside, went up to her, and whispered, "Cara, over hear."
Cara jumped, looked at him, and nodded.

((LOL, you know, my sis's didn't seem to care how long or short our posts were, so don't think on it when you're posting if you happen to. <(^_-)>
And as for Mimi, the alleyway/place doesn't exactly HAVE to be empty, she just supposed it was empty enough to manipulate into her human illusion form without bother! There could have been somebody for all she knew! So they can all be in the same area. You're first post on Shawn seemed kinda vauge at first, so I didn't really know for fact where he was or where to put my characters. I hope I didn't confuse things too much! (T.T)> I sorry!!!
Oh, and also, the group of Juve's he disturbed, were they the same ones that chased Alyssa's Character?)) ((I'll post when I get a hang of you! <(^_-)> Cheers! ))

((You know me, Ty...I can't stay out of this one! XDDD ))
Yet another dark form slipped through the shadows on the streets tonight. The figure moved with a confident, smooth step, betraying something almost like grace in the easy movement. Making no move to draw attention nor hide, the figure flitted from shadow to shadow, form obscured by the black overcoat. Beneath it, several creamy tail tips swished, begging to be freed from their cloth prison.
The sounds of voices...a nearby commotion...her ears that had moments ago lain flat against her head swiveled forward, twitching sharply at the noise. 'What now?' the Ninetales morph thought with exasperation. If it wasn't one thing in this city, it was another. Her emerald eyes narrowed as she picked up her already-quick pace. If there was trouble, she wasn't going to just stand by and watch. Wasn't in her nature, ya' know.
Something glittered in her eyes as a mysterious smirk crossed her muzzle. Sure, she was a female traveling alone through the city, but there was something in her manner that suggested one had better know how to handle themselves in a fight if they wanted to start trouble with her. Though she looked like a young woman in her mid-twenties, there was a sadness in her eyes that said her soul was far older than that...that she had seen far more than her own share of tragedy in her years. At the same time, she still sported a youthful sparkle. A walking paradox.
Reaching the alley that seemed to be the source of the commotion, she paused before entering in order to take in the situation. Just some kids, it seemed. Street punks, granted, but nothing she couldn't handle if it came to it. She watched for a moment longer, wondering if she really needed to step in or not when she received a bit of a shock.
She froze, glittering green eyes wide with surprise.
It couldn't be...could it?
She couldn't believe her eyes...no, it couldn't be him. Not here...it didn't make sense. Her mind couldn't process it...but her eyes couldn't be lying to her either.
It had been...so long. Longer than she could even attempt to count. But...it had to be him. Couldn't be anyone else...
Nevertheless, she hung back, watching cautiously for now and waiting for some undeniable sign that she was right about the boy's identity.
She wasn't sure whether or not she wanted to be right, to be honest.

Mimi was so dazed that for a brief minute she didn't even think on what was going on. She looked down at the girl who was clinging to her, wrinkling her pretty pink shirt. It didn't seem to bother her. In fact she hardly noticed at all. "Wha?" She tilted her head and looked at the group of kids close behind. They only looked a few years younger than she had looked. She smiled at the Vulpix girl and pulled her behind her, "You're fine now," She she said in a sweet tone bringing her right hand fingers to her pink lips, "I won't let these kids hurt you."
She beamed brighter than ever for no more than a second, then turning towards the kids with a complete change in expression, an expression of blunt anger scribbled all over her face. "Don't make me hurt you." She replied softly, but loud enough for them to hear her.
"What are you gonna do? Throw pokeballs at us?" One of the boys called. They all laughed.
She was taken off guard for half a second when she thought she heard the calling of another boy. Turning to see, she ended up being correct. They weren't alone.
"Pokeballs. Hmm. That's a mighty fine idea." She smirked rebelliously.
"Exactly though." She replied to the Haunter morphs comment, then smiling at the Vulpix-morph behind her to set in stone that she would be fine, "I'm sure those of you with parents would not enjoy your next few weeks if we found your parents and told them what you were doing now, would you?" Her bright eyes began to glow more moonlike, and a bright red and dark purple earring that she wore on her left ear at all times began to shake.
One of the boys gave her quite the evil look, "And what about you morphs, huh? What about your parents?" He scoffed.
Mimi's expression froze for exactly three seconds, but luckily she recovered before anyone could really notice. Her eyebrows raised to the boys comment, but she made no reply to it. Keevo was beginning to drift into his own little dream land. Things were so content. He supposed the Coffee Shop wasn't that bad. His breathing was slowing in pace. His fur was settling and his hair was arranging itself to what it would normally be like if it weren't always in a hood. His ears didn't feel as irritated as they always did. He was comfortable.
He felt a breeze. The air conditioning must have turned on in the shop, it only made sense. He must have been underneath a vent.. His seat felt more comfortable. it wasn't cushioned or flat, but it was rugged, and he could sit on it any way he wanted to.. Like a boulder or a rock.. There was no longer a table in front of him.. There was a beautiful open space where he could actually breath.. Water sprayed his face... He was smiling... He was actually smiling.... Shentan was there..... She was there.... She was beautiful.... They both were there....
Then the water got rugged... A storm must have been coming.. The ocean was becoming harsh.. She was gone. Shentan was gone. Everyone was gone. They were there. They took him into the darkness. They said it was a privelidge. They said it was an honor.. They said... THEY LIED....
The fourth peg slipped, the chair fell backwards, Keevo hit the ground with a rough start, bumped his head and nearly smashed his tail. Nearly everyone turned to see what was going on. He pulled himself up almost emediately. The torment was bad enough to have fallen asleep while leaning backwards in a chair. To have fallen flat on his head and tail... He pushed in his chair and headed for the door right before the waitress came out to give him his Malt, "Oh, uh, sir! You're..."
"You can have it." He spat out at her. "But sir.. Uh.. It's policy that.. Well... it'll be disposed of sir. Wasted." Keevo looked more annoyed than ever, but he didn't want a fight. He just wanted to leave. He payed the Teddiursa morph and took the drink, but emediately left the shop afterwards. How could he stay after something like that anyway? He was so tired of everything that had been happening. He didn't feel like hanging out at an empty apartment, but it was getting dark... Where else would he go with a cold Malt on a dark evening?
((By the way, for Teigra, since I don't think you know, Shentan is Keevo's older Leafia sister who is currently not here. So, just mentioning so you don't get confused! (^_-)> ))

The Vulpix stopped crying and wispered, "What are you going to do?" But before any one could make a sound or answer, the Abra morph warped in front showing an evil smile. He looked like he wanted to beat them up and was sure he would win.
The Abra yelled, "NOW!!!" The Abra's eyes started to glow bright purple and faded to normal, looking in what seemed like the Vulpix's direction. It didn't make sense, nothing happened. Then a Swallow morph flew into the air. An Electabuzz morph slowly walked forword with a fist that looked like it carried sparks. Some of the other pokemon morphs started to attack. The Vulpix morph gasped, grasped the Pikachu doll, and looked at Mimi with a cunfused look. It was very sudden.

As Cara started to get up from her chair her brother told her in excitement, "Come with me there is something I want to show you! Come on!" They ran quickly.
"Why was that Eevee boy in such a hurry? And what are you showing me?"
"I am showing you something cool you will like. It is cool. Now, come on."
"Yah, but do you know why that guy was in such a hurry? Ya know, that Eevee guy?"
"No. And its..." He paused in silence. Then he whispered, "Wait, why are you wondering about a guy?" Cara looked at him sternly. Then he replied, "Just asking, I mean, you usually don't ask things like that."
She replied back, "Brother, that is not what I meant. I am just curious."
"Okay, okay." He was very curious as well, for he was wondering why she asked that, even though she had nothing like, 'Wow, he's cute! I like him!" or, "He's so cool!" She was just curious. Like always, she was always a very curious person from her child hood. Even now.
She had no idea what was going on and on top of that her brother still didnt answer her question. She decided not to ask again because he would just keap teasing her he had always done something like that. thay were running and saw some other ppl running from some looked like very mean kids. Well she called them kids because she could tell she was older then them. She could tell they wornt hesitating at all to catch them but why? She decided to tell him that another Vulpix, a human or so she thought were being chased.
"Hey, brother there are ppl running over there."
"You want toget closer?" he asked "Yes please." They ran tored them and got a little closer but the hid them selves. She treded a little closer and he pulled her back. "Do you want to get caught by the gang members" she looked at him, then suprisingly she whisled at them and screamed "Hey over hear!" and she threw a pokeball at one of there heads. They almost came towerd her but they hesataited and cept running for the others. She wanted to help them but didnt get to it was to late.
Her brother pulled her back and said to her " You have been acting weared to day first the guy and now gang members. When did you become so brave and normal? Are you realy Cara? he thought in his head or maybe this is some alien who took her bodyand her insides to use her as skin. Or maybe it wasnt even a girl maybe it was an it? these questions would haunt him. But of corse it is the real her. aw well." He thought to himself.

((Sorry I took so long, guys.))
The figure's mouth twitched in annoyance, as though he longed to say something but didn't.
Instead, he waited patiently as the little gang laughed, knowing they wouldn't be laughing for too much longer. His scarlet eyes glanced fleetingly up at the girl who spoke out against the bunch of kids. He looked again, unable to trust his sight. A human? Here? He'd hoped he'd seen the last of them back on Pokemorph Island, but...
Never mind. Now wasn't the time to wonder about humans. The girl had a defiant sort of way about her, but he suspected she was all talk and no action. After all, what could a human do against a gang of pokemorphs, even if they were only children?
He groaned, realizing he was going to have to take matters into his own hands. "Shut up you little twerp," he snapped at the one who had scoffed at the notion of parents. Clearly it seemed to have some effect on the human girl, for she didn't respond. He didn't other pondering it, however.
"If you had half a brain, you might have noticed by now that we're older than you and so the curfew doesn't apply to us." He chose not to comment on parents considering the human's reaction.
Of course the children were not going to give up their fun so easily. The Abra-morph, who seemed to consider himself the leader, had the nerve to warp in front of them and smile rather deviously. The haunter-morph rolled his eyes. Kids these days - no respect for their elders. Shadow had to be at least 75 years this snot-nosed kid's elder, whether or not he looked it. It was time to put them in their place.
With a purple, three-clawed hand, he reached forward and grabbed the Abra-morph by the front of his shirt. "Ghost attacks have an advantage over Psychic-types," he murmured in warning. "You can still back off now and call off your friends. Or," he offered, his voice lowering dangerously, "I could give you all nightmares to last you months on end. How does that sound?" Releasing the child, he dropped him to he floor uncerimoniously. "Your choice. If you have any doubts, go ahead and try me."
In his efforts to teach the gang of children their lesson, Shadow failed to notice the young woman outfitted in an overcoat watching from a short distance away. Of course there was no telling how he would have reacted at the sight of her, for he was no longer the boy that lady had once known. The boy she had once known most certainly wouldn't have gone around threatening kids with nightmares and teaching them through fear. After all, he too had once been a victim of fear in the past.

Frowning deeply, the young woman watched as the scene began descending into chaos. Children threatening children in dark alleyways...the world had gone to hell in a handbasket. She saw the proof firsthand every day. Not that things were so different before...there were kids running around in street gangs then too, of course. But for some reason, it seemed so much worse now. These kids knew nothing more than to threaten one another with their inherent abilities, never pondering what life would be like without them. Back then, they'd either needed to learn to fight with their fists or find a weapon. It took effort to be a bully in some senses.
Sighing, the Ninetales morph's posture seemed to slump just the tiniest bit. It was a depressing state of things to witness as it was...but so much worse when you had something so radically different to compare it to.
Her musings were interrupted as the boy she'd been watching with sharp, narrowed eyes made a move. Stifling a gasp, her ears pricked to pick up the low-volume conversation. Well, not so much a conversation as an exchange of threats. No...
The exchange...the realization...her stomach flipped and she fought down the feelings of nausea that accompanied her unease. It was him, she just knew it. And yet...this display...it shook her. Even after all she'd seen, this shook her.
Deciding she couldn't stand on the sidelines anymore, she slipped from the shadows, adopting her confident stride as she set out again. Everything was about appearance and attitude with these kids. That, plus her more obvious age difference ought to at least get even their short attention spans for a moment. And a moment was all she really needed.
"Excuse me," she toned quietly, but with a razor-sharp edge. "You kids have a problem here?" Her eyes glittered with a dangerous light as she halted and appraised the group with her hands deep in her overcoat pockets. Beneath the long coat, her tails twitched with barely contained nervous energy, eager to be free of their restraining cloth prison.
"I'm sure that whatever the trouble is, you'd like to settle things quietly and peacefully, yes?" She chuckled and flashed the gathered group an eerie grin, her elongated canines shining in the low light.
