It was a quiet, peaceful and bright day in the Pridelands and for once in his life, Wahabu was not out exploring, looking for something to do or someone to talk to. No, today he was quite content to lounge about in the sun and have some time to himself. His night had been spent in a very light, difficult sleep as he was plagued with "nightmares" again. His father was out, which wouldn't be unusual if Kizamaji had been doing so more often more recently. Both things meant that Habu was tired and had the surrounding area of the family den to himself.

So he dozed peacefully in the shade of tree not far from his home.

It wasn't too long after Janja had ran into the very friendly white lion Kubwa, who'd pointed her in the right direction to find more friendly lions worth meeting. One in particular, anyway. With the promise of meeting someone friendly for absolute certain (since she trusted Kubwa's opinion completely), Janja decided now was a good time to go back and convince her sisters to come with her. Not surprisingly, Jedi had agreed- though it was a bit surprising that Ekevu did not. Janja didn't dwell on it, though- she was just happy to have familiar company with her on an outing once again.

"This way, Jed," she said, looking around. She'd been following a path in the direction she'd been told to go in. They should find a den soon, if not the lion himself. Hopefully this Wahabu was around!

The not as chubby Jedi was easily convinced for the first time in her life, she had not before now left close to her father's side in fear of being lost or left behind. But now, now she wanted to see a bit of the world and with her favorite lion, Janja.

She did not waddle, as she had in her younger years, but she was not sleak and thin like other lionesses her age, "Alright, I'll follow, but who're we going to see again?" She joked and walked to the left and slightly behind her sister.

As Habu dozed, he dreamt of strange lions- mostly blue but with other colors off in the background. It was not an unusal vision for him to have, as he decided it had to be after having it on more than one occassion. He blamed his odd mental fixation on the color on his sister, who he would never trust again without a lot of work- and then there was also the good associations the color had, as with his father and uncles Kilalio and Merik.

He woke from his light sleep and from the dream with a slight shudder. Thinking it had been the dream that caused him to wake, he was surprised to hear voices faintly in the distance. His ears turned, and he listened for a second before turning to see the source. It looked like two strangers heading this way.

Janja shot her sister a playful grin and stuck out her tongue. There was no doubt Jedi knew well enough the answer to her own question. She was distracted looking at her sister and didn't notice the yellow lion they were in fact coming closer and closer to.

"Just tell me if you spot any bright yellow lions," she said with a small laugh, wondering just how many they would find around. Janja wasn't quite sure what shade of yellow, but it wouldn't be like hers or Kubwa would have said. "And then we'll just hope it is this Wahabu. Though I'm sure anyone we'd meet would be friendly."

She giggled and just after Janja spoke Jedi gasped, "You mean like that one?" and she nodde her head in Wahabu's general direction. This as going to be interesting. She had feared that everyone in he pridelands would be like her sisters and would make her feel left out, but Janja had been including her in things, and she wasn't all together feeling dumb. Ekevu...well wasn't Jedi's favorite sister. She had had nightmares too of dancing lions she was related too that all were creepily intelligent and would all be mean.

"Is he sleeping?" she lowerd her voice and peered at Wahabu.

Habu noticed that the pair of lions looked very similar (probably related to each other, siblings maybe- except he didn't know any siblings that looked so much alike. Except for Noyana and her twin). He also noticed that they were not looking at him- well, not until the slightly bigger one suddenly seemed to be nodding in his direction.

He raised an eyebrow and decided to let them come to him instead of intruding upon them. Maybe he was just being pointed out so he could be avoided and they could continue their walk and conversation uninterrupted. He couldn't get a clear view of them, but just as he was about to glance away politely he caught sight of a strange but almost familiar marking on one of them.

"Like what-" Janja looked off in the direction Jedi pointed out and gasped in amazement. That was exactly what they were looking for, and Jedi had noticed it before her. She turned and grinned at her sister once more before turning towards Habu and jogging closer.

"We'll see, won't we?" she called back to Jedi's question as she went, then stopped when she was close to him, "Hello? W-wahabu?"

Fortunately, Habu was already looking at Janja when she suddenly ran in his direction. He started, looking wide awake now- especially when his name was called out. Did he know these lionesses? Was that the reason they knew his name?

"Um- yes?" he called back, getting to his feet, "Who're you?"

"Certainly will see!" Jedi flinched slightly, this was who we were searching for, and she was the one to spot him first! The black and white adolescent's but wiggled her butt and tail excitedly. Walking slowly she caught up to Janja and smiled at Wahabu, this lion was very cute! She smiled and bobbed her head.

"I'm Jedi, you're interesting," she said boldly. and she stepped closer. She was not curious usually like her sisters were, but he looked like someone she knew.

"I'm Janja," Janja introduced herself cheerfully, wasting no time in explaining how she knew his name- she would certainly have wanted to know if someone came up to her shouting her name, "I ran into a friend of yours, Kubwa- he said you might know about our family, and that you were really nice."

She was quiet for a moment, and then remembered the message she'd been asked to relay to this friend of Kubwa's!

"Oh!" she exclaimed suddenly, "Kubwa said to tell you he's home, safe and has a son now." Janja hadn't put a great deal of thought into this message, but it seemed obvious that they hadn't seen each other in awhile and it was an important thing for Wahabu to know.

"Jedi, Janja," he repeated, with an acknowledging nod of his head, "I-it's nice to meet you." Habu didn't know what else to say, not even to Jedi's comment that he was interesting. He seemed mesmerized by the marking on Janja's shoulder, and it was quite suddenly that he recognized it and opened his mouth to say so just as Janja mentioned Kubwa. Then his mouth simply hung open while she relayed the message. Suddenly the fact this lioness had the same marking as his father left his mind.

"He WHAT?" Habu exclaimed loudly, staring right at Janja waiting for some indication it was not a joke. Kubwa was alive, he was back, and he had a kid of his own? Was that where his friend had been gone? Why was he sending these lioness' to tell him? Was one of them the mother of his son? He blinked a couple times when Janja gave a nod to confirm what she'd said, and finally closed his mouth.

Jedi listened contently as her sister relaid the lion, Kubwa's message. And was suprised to see that Wahabu was shocked by this. Jedi had explained that they were heading to meet a nice lion, one that Janja heard of from a new aquaintance....but this was an odd way to explain that he had a child?

WOuld Jedi ever feel like she had the courage to approach others without her sisters there? It did not seem likely, she would have been frightened off quickly, "I didn't know that he left that message, why didn't you tell it to me too, Janja?" she questioned, "And mom said not to go looking.." But of course, Janja and Ekevu had to know, they were always curious, her only curiousity was when the next meal was!

Janja winced a little at the shocked look Habu had when she told him about Kubwa. She expected it, with a message like that, and felt a little bad for the lion. She'd be surprised if a long-missed friend sent another lion to tell her about some cubs they had.

"I'm sorry, you'll have to talk to him about it," she said calmly, glancing off towards where she'd seen Kubwa, "He was where he said he'd met you, I'm sure you could find him there sometime." Janja glanced over to Jedi when she pointed out they were not supposed to look for family, and mumbled a defense, "I got tired of waiting- I'm sorry I didn't tell you all that-"

Janja looked back to Wahabu, "S-so- do we look like anyone you know?"

Wahabu was just staring at Janja, and looked off where she did when the trees were mentioned. He almost wanted to go right then and there, but he couldn't be so rude to the messangers- and was reminded of what had so amazed him before he was told of Kubwa's return.

"I- You- actually, you do," he said, glancing down at Janja's shoulder again. He took a look at Jedi, and realized the mask around her face was similar to his grandmother's, and the spots on her shoulders were like the ones he and Kilango both had (though neither of his parents had them). He looked back and fourth between the pair of them, wondering if they could even possibly be related. It was so unlikely! He thought he knew most of his family.

"You have a marking like my father," Habu said finally, looking over at Janja, and then glanced over at Jedi, "And you have a similar pattern on your face to my grandmother.. but you couldn't possibly-"

He paused, and his eyes widened. These weren't the only reasons he recognized them, he had seen them before- in his dreams, the blue lions. One was the same blue as his father and similar to these two.

"Do you have another sister? Blue?" he asked mysteriously. Too many coninsidences- were they family?

Jedi was about to go into a tangent and open her mouth to chide about how it was not right waiting for their mother! It was mom's wish to come here and that is why then came, to meet family. But, at Wahabu's answer that they looked like his father and grandmother she closed her mouth and stared in wonder...was she related to him? Were they related to him? As he asked about a blue lioness..their sister...it was clear they were known, they had to be!

"Y-yes, her name is Ekevu, she's blue. But that means our mother must have already come and spoken to her family. If you know about us, who told you? Did mom say?" Whould mom have come and told her mother and the word spread to the rest of them? It seemed almost impossible that Siku would do such a thing without telling them. Plus, Siku seemed so scared.

Janja looked as stunned as Jedi when he suddenly said they looked like his family members. And her astonishment only increased when he asked about a blue sister- and her first reaction was to look over at Jedi. Momentarily speechless, she let Jedi explain about their sister before looking back at Wahabu.

"We're related to you?" she asked, wondering the same things Jedi asked.

They did have a blue sister. The same blue as his father, the same eyes Kilango had, and the same as one of his. The spots, the markings, the eyes..

"No- no one told me," he stammered, trying to find a way to explain it, "It's not easy to explain how I know that, I have dreams about things like that sometimes. Is it your mother that's the link to us, here? My- er, maybe our- grandmother would know. We could go ask her, surely she'd be able to explain it to us."

So many coinsidences, it was more likely to be true- right?

The always fearful ssiter faultered, what if this lion as lieing, it seemed almost impossible, but having dreams about others he's never met or even heard of, this guy was a nutter! But, he knew of their sister, that counted for something.

"I must say what you know is strange...but...Janja, we can not go to our grandmother, it would not go over well, mother would not be happy at all. This isn't me being a chicken either, I want to meet grandma too!" Her whole face wrinkled with what seeme the be the labour of just thinking, what to do? No, her decision was right, she would not go. If Janja wanted to be stupid and visit the grandmother, that was her buisness, Jedi would rush home, and of course not say a word. She wished she was little again and that daddy followed her places to chase off the monsters.but not there were no monsters..and daddy didn't follow to help with tough things.

"Our mother was born here, she is yellow, she's the connection."

Janja was so very tempted by the offer to be taken to Wahabu's grandmother, to possibly her own grandmother. But that would be putting a lot of trust in what the strange lion said, and then going too far in their defiance of mother. She sighed loudly, and glanced over at Jedi and only nodded to show her agreement.

"Yes, our mother's name is Siku," she added on, swishing her tail and turning around to show the colors on it, "She's the yellow color of the stripes on my tail. I can't believe- what- what are the odds we'd actually find you?"

Habu understood their declining his offer, knowing he wouldn't want to do such a thing to his mother either- if she was still around. He glanced off to where Kubwa could be, thinking about his visions. Something was strange about his visions, they were always about families for some reason- and were convenient in appearing just when need. Had he not just saw this trio of sisters in his dreams?

"I understand, and the yellow is very close to that of my grandmother's fur," he mumbled, "I don't know of a Siku, but my father does have siblings he's never really mentioned. His name is Kizamaji and my grandmother is Miamba.."

If he'd never heard of Siku, perhaps they'd not heard these names either- but it was worth a shot, and a way to investigate the situation further at home. If they could do it discretely. With a sigh, Habu took a seat- this was a lot to deal with.

She knew why she was scared to meet them now, they were more intelligent than she was, they even could see the future...or atleast other lions? Her family seemed like it was going to be a bunch of far too smart people, was it going to be? She was uneasy and trembled slightly. Did he know more than he was telling? Was this a trap?

"Those names don't ring any bells, we could ask father? He might be able to tell us more, instead of going straight to mother?" she thought still long and hard, only her nose was wrinkled this time, that was a smart plan if there ever was going to be one, right? "Yes, I'd really like to go back to Father.."
