Black ears flattened against the back of a mare's head as she halted at the edge of a cliff. The jagged rock over looked the clearing and much of the forest; the intrusion jutting out from the step rocks of the mountain. The only accessible to get to this particular surface of rock was a very thin path winding around the side of the mountain. Her medium blue eyes looked down below before flickering up to the sky where the baby blue was being shrouded over by dark gray clouds; soon there would be rain. The orca colored mare contemplated a moment before turning and heading toward the narrow path that led back up the mountain; back to her teepee which meant shelter from the oncoming storm.

He had never realized how narrow the path from which his cave like home resided was.
He just never paid too much attention because he lived just off the narrow path, and honestly, he didnt much care about how much danger he could put himself in.
He exited the caves darkness, looking out to the sky which was becoming equally as dark. He shuddered a bit as that cool breeze which the mountains held, hit him in the face.
He loved it, and the darkness was empowering.

A gust of cold air stung the mare's face and her short mane provided little shield from the torrent of icy wind. She closed her eyes, turning her head in toward the mountain and halting; waiting for the breeze to pass by. Once the wind was gone the mare opened her eyes once again and continued at a quicker walk; sensing that the storm was growing closer. After continuing not too far ahead the sound of the mare's hoof beats seemed to grow louder and echo as well. However, War frowned and halted; no longer able to hear her hooves against that rock and unable to hear those of the other whom she knew was there. She glared at the path that suddenly wrapped around a cliff. Of course. She mentally told herself; giving a roll of her eyes. She had at once known someone else was also upon the path when she had heard the second set of hoof beats; yet she was unsure how far ahead they were since they also had ceased their movements. The mare gave a defiant shake of her head and continued making her way up the path.
