It had almost seemed like forever since Zhenga had ventured out. On her wanderings away from Fenfen she had come across a little foal. Their games were fun and he seemed so full of life. But it had been a while since she had last seen that bright eyed foal and assumed that he was probably grown and off on his own adventures now. Perhaps chasing down that fairy or whatever it was.
The Alicorn's mind wandered back to Fenfen. It had been quite a while since the last time she had seen him. And she missed him dearly. Perhaps he had forgotten about her and wandered off on his own somewhere? That thought brought a small hint of sadness to her silver eyes as she made her way across the vast plains.
A ruffle of her wings sent a few loose black feathers tumbling to the ground. No matter. They were only making room for newer ones to grow in so it didn't bother her that much. Though it did itch from time to time. As she came upon a tall hill, she made her way up it slowly. Standing at the top and gazing down upon the seas of grass that lay before her.

Shiori lay napping in the center of a large grassfield. She had quite courage, showing herself out in the opne like that, where she could run nor hide. Well, that would surely be something Haidar would say, Cualtzin's familiar. He was always so worried that Kalona may come and kill Cualtzin, that he had inhabited a great fear for Kalona. Well, Shiori surely wasn't afraid of any Kalona.
She let out a small snore in her sleep, thinking about how amazing it would be to fly. She believed that freedom was the most important thing ever. Playing around, having fun, and living life to it's fullest wasall that mattered to her. Even if it meant meeting a Kalona, she didn't want to hide herself and take away her freedom.

As her eyes surveyed the land below her, a spot of abnormal coloring caught her eye. Zhenga's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to figure out what exactly it was. Certainly it wasn't some odd grass. Was it? "Huh. Strange..."
Well, they say curiosity killed the cat. But she was no cat! Giving a quick flick of her slender tail, she slowly made her descent down the hill and into the grass below. Light and careful steps, just so that she wouldn't startle whatever it was, if it was alive, that was in the grass. If it wasn't alive, well then, there really was no point in sneaking around.
Her black nose wiggled back and forth as she sniffled at it as she drew closer. And then, her ears caught the faint sound of...was that snoring? It was alive!

Shiori's dream soon turned into a dark nightmare. The feathers on her wings started falling off, one by one to form a pool of brown feathers down on the floor. After all her feathers had fallen off, there was nothing to keep her in the sky any longer. She kicked, gallopped and snorted all she could, but she wasm't about to fly anymore. She fell deeply onto the ground, landing flatly into the pool of feathers she had created. Her freedom had ended, she could no longer fly! Just as she was about to get up and walk away, she realized that her body was paralized...
Instantly, Shiori sprang to her feet in fear of her dream. "No!" she shouted, unaware that it had all been a bad dream. She sighed heavily and stared up at the sun, which had risen high into the sky while she was napping. "Ah well, time to go and have some fun," she thought, beginning to walk. That was when she noticed the strange mare that was sniffing at her. She was a strange color, with a horn on her head, and... wings!

Zhenga had nearly jumped out of her skin once the living spot had jumped to it's feet. Her black wings flared as she reared, taking a few uneasy steps backwards before her front hooves landed onto the soft earth again.
Her nostrils flared for a moment before she had calmed herself. Realizing that it was nothing to fear. Just another Soquili with strange markings. Not unlike herself. Tilting her head, she raised a curious eyebrow at the stranger. "Are you...ok?" The Alicorn folded her wings tight against her back as she slowed her breathing. Taking a long, deep breath and letting it out to slow her racing heart. This mare sure had given her a start.

Shiori hadn't meant to frighten the mare. "Oh.. I'm ok." she said, examining the mare. She had extraordinary colors, just like her. "I was just having a nightmare, that's all!" Shiori gave the mare a warm smile, and decided to just forget about the dream. The past is the past, it didn't matter anymore to her.
"I'm sorry to have given you a fright," she said, trying to seem a little more normal to her. After all, if someone had jumped out on her, she would have the scare of her life.
"I'm sorry, I haven't mentioned my name. I'm Shiori." she explained, cursing herself for being foolish. After waking up, she was always still half asleep.

Giving a fluttery, nervous laugh. Zhenga flicked her slender tail back and forth before turning her head to the side. A sheepish grin spreading her lips slightly. "Well...I'm glad you are ok. And it's fine. I should know better than to sneak up on others."
Her ears perked forward, causing her braids to brush against each other along her neck. This mare sure did apologize quiet a bit. No matter. "It's nice to meet you, Shiori. My name is Zhenga." The mare's silver eyes lit up with joy. It seemed like too long it had been since she'd talked with another soul.

"Zhenga, thats a nice name!" Shiori exclaimed. She examined the mare a little closer, spotting her slender tail. Her silver eyes were almost hypnotic, pulling her into a long dazy sleep. She shook her head, trying to wake up a little. She saw the wings of a wind soquili. She had met others with wings like hers, but none of them had bright colors like Zhenga. She looked carefully at the beads and feather in her mane. That was when she spotted it. That beautiful horn protruding from her forehead. Shiori felt strangely fascinated by it, as if it sparkled in the sun.
She thought of the soquili she had met. She'd seen purebreeds, like herself.. And wind soquili, but what matter of being was Zhenga? She felt tempted to ask, so she whispered.
"Zhenga, what is that strange horn on your head?" just when the childish words slipped out of her lips, she regretted asking them in that manner.

Zhenga couldn't help but grin at Shiori's question. Her wings ruffled lightly as she let out a small giggle. "It's a unicorn horn. Have you never seen one?" Her eyes gave the other mare an inquisitive glance. "I'm an Alicorn. Part Unicorn, part Wind."
Though she herself had never met another Alicorn, she knew there were more out there. They were just...hiding or something. But she guessed that perhaps this mare hadn't met all too many Soquili as she seemed rather new to the whole concept of her horn.

Shiori gazed awefully at Zhenga's horn. Alicorn, eh? Now she had met other types of Soquili than just wind. She smiled to herself, but her face turned somber when Zhenga pointed out that she had never seen one before, making her feel slightly embarassed. She walked around Zhenga, and answered her question;
"Not really, I'm very young, and don't remember much of my childhood..." she explained. "So I guess I've got the mind of a little girl.." once again, she had realized she had said something incredibly stupid. She tried to fix her error.
"Well, I mean I haven't exactly been to many different places yet." She said.
((I'm not feeling too creative today, sorry ^^; )
