Wow!
My first original Role-Play and it'll be pretty cool. It's also the most complicated Rp by far. Megiddo: This Day and Age is loosely based on my sister's webcomic, which is on hiatus, simply entitled Megiddo. I've expanded her realization into a universe, so you can expect this to be the most flexible Gencendi Rp you'll ever experience. Sure, I've been influenced, and it'll show, most prominent inspirations for M:TDaA, would be Naruto, Kingdom Hearts and Howl's Flying Castle. Yeah, you've probably gathered I enjoy surreal vision, but anyway...

I hope you enjoy my Rp,

Cheers

Genji.

The world is in turmoil under a great evil. It takes no shape, has no physical form but destroys the livelihoods of so many, man and beast. In the world of Atlas, it is said that the world began with but two snowdrops brilliant as starlight. The first child of Atlas was born when the first snowdrop touched ground. The second snowdrop spawned another child. Both children were pure and innocent as were their own three children in the many years to come. They lived a simple but good life, full of joy and laughter. Everyone always looked forward to the next day and never once was a tear shed, or the emotion, hatred felt. Life was simple yet as beautiful as it was meant to be.

One fateful day, the third child of Atlas and the first born of the human couple met his end in a tragic accident that no one could have ever prevented. It is said on this day that all the feelings of rage, fear, sadness, anxiety, frustration… every bout of negative emotion was unleashed onto the world by the child’s lingering spirit that was so overcome with grief over the life he had left behind and jealousy over his remaining family members; that he refused to depart from the life he loved.

The child spirit terrorized his own kin and drove them to madness all save for one of his siblings. This child would not succumb to these negative feelings for folklore says the Gods had given her their divine blessing. She blew a wizened breath onto her aggravated living brother easing him of his pain and mental anguish. He was saved from himself, but it was far too late to save the parents they loved so much. Their forms had radically changed and they no longer took human appearances. They tore at everything they touched, destroying trees, flowers, entire landscapes and livestock; even each other. Their children could not bear to see their parents this way and fled with their departed brother chasing after them still in hopes of turning his siblings into what his parents had become. Seeing that he couldn’t pass on the pain that he felt in death to his sister, that in fact she could not be touched; he fled in rage and was never heard from again. However he left behind his legacy. His legacy that would haunt generations to come. The Great Evil that is Darkness.

Chapter 1: Unlikely Scenario

Episode 1: That Liv Mage!

Episode 2: Time is running out!

Infliction - Darkness, which is known as the TSIN Stage, now comes to every human, much like adolescence. Sometimes it comes early, sometimes it doesn’t come until you’ve sprouted your first grey hair. Sometimes it comes slowly; yet sometimes it comes as quick as lightning. It varies from person to person. It varies on how strong and pure your heart is. How strong your resolve is. If there is one thing that is consistent in darkness however, it is that it will hit you hard. It hits so hard that most people yearn for is death; the coward’s way out. Yet there are those who embrace the darkness and wish to harness its power.

There are those who want to come back into the light. Those with strong will who have a loved one they long to hold again. People with a strong sense of moral and righteousness. They are the ones who get back up and out of the inflicted status.

It is basically up to you to fight against yourself. The darkness may seem alluring for some, but the same can be said for light. It is up to the inflicted. Do you want to say shrouded by darkness, devoid of optimism yet forever powerful? Or do you want to stay where the light and warmth of day and touch is? The inevitable will come. You must choose whether to get back up from the deep hole in which you have fallen. Only you can save yourself from what you have become.

It is rare however, there are some who will never be touched by the darkness. These exceptions are only seen once every 10-20 years and share the direct bloodline of the child on which Metatron’s blessings were bestowed upon. These are the chosen ones who are looked up to to save the world from this recurring nightmare, ridding darkness once and for all.

Lens - Person who has overcome or is yet to go through the TSIN Stage.

Livs - Person that has embraced or is going through the TSIN Stage.

Reminance - Abilities that have been keep after going through TSIN.

Id - The darkness formed by Liv's hearts, materializes into a demon that come in different forms. The level of darkness will determine the strength and size of the Id.

An Id does not take over the Liv's body
, but instead materializes in the location the Liv was Inflicted.

Ids are not sentient and only live to kill.

NEO Id - An Id that has devoured it's Liv. A NEO Id, once devoured it's Liv will assume the shape of the Liv with minor changes such as the darkening of skin and hair and the typical Id yellow eyes.

NEO Ids can think for themselves, they have the ability to plot and con unlike the regular Ids.

Powerful Liv's can actually allow themselves to be devoured yet assume control of their bodies.

AKUMA Id - A NEO Id that has become Inflicted itself. This is extremely rare as most Liv's can never assume control of their NEO Ids dictatorships, and the only way a NEO Id can be inflicted is if the Liv is still dormant.

Shane
After you become a Liv can you [revert to Lens] afterwards?
Yes. If you overcome TSIN, yeah. It's a process called Vengragun. It'll come later on in the storyline.
Shane
Do [Maguses] have their Prima Materia around non stop?
No. It materializes when it's needed. Where is it stored? Thats a secret for now.

- Follow the ToS.
- Don't harass other players.
- Don't discriminate other players.
- Try not to swear so much. I should follow this rule.
- Keep it PG-13, guys
- Follow the guidelines in the Create a Character section
- Don't Godmod. Don't.
- Don't Auto-Hit. Don't.
- Don't Speed-Hack or Bamf. Don't. For serious.
- If your PC dies, then it dies. Don't come crying to me, you got it in this situation.
- Nobody likes Uberly powerful character or ridiculous Magi, Skills or Prima Matiera
- Don't insta-fight. Ex. "Hey, nice to meet you, I WILL KILL YOU!!!" It makes the Rp boring. Try to intertwine yourself into the story and develop relationship's with the other characters.
- Y'know, nobody likes it when somebody interferes in a fight. Sure, if it's pointless, fine, you may attempt to break it up, but if you're no where near the vicinity don't magically appear and start flinging Magi at the combatants.

Guidelines

Every Rp should have guidelines, I don't care how experienced you are, no two Rp's are the same, including the rules and skeleton. Sure, all my regulars may feel weary of it, but all the same, read the guidelines.

- You may start the Rp as a Liv if you wish.
- Your PC should have a decent background, it doesn't have to tie into the story, but you must be prepared if the subject of "the past" ever comes up.
- Try to make him/her as unique as you possibly can, dark histories don't appeal to me. Loners don't appeal to me.
- Power isn't exactly proportionate to age, keep that in mind.
- Liv's and Len's are equal in their own rights.
- You are not able to enter as a Los Magus. No exceptions.

Magi and Magus

Magi and Magus. It all comes down to magic once again. Now if you read my teaser statement, you will have read that mage's won't be mage's in the typical sense. Well, this is truth. Because in order to play Megiddo, you have to be a Mage. Or Magus. A Magus graduates from the University of Lapto at the age of 11, to preform darkness vanquishing missions.

All Magus are equipped with a Basic Prima Materia, but all the good ones are found in dungeons and heathen god temples, through junctioning, they equip an element and are trained to manipulate it, and form Magi, an elemental attack, combined with either Spirit or Body, Form or Soul. For more information on Prima Materia and Junctioning, see the respective sections.

Spirit

When you compound Spirit into a Magi, it means that it comes from within the body, and is usually shot out, like fire freathing, or a frosty touch. Spirit is a basic skill that all Magus are expected to use.

Body

When you compound Body into a Magi, it means that it comes outside or on the body. Examples of this would be Water Walking, Healing as well as creating or empowering items. Body is a basic skill that all Magus are expected to use.

Form

Slightly more complicated, Form adds shape to a Magi, be it a Spirit or Body type. Adding Form to a Magi makes it 10x more destructive due to the refinement of it. It is only expected of Fel Magus or Los Magus.

Soul

Slightly more complicated, Soul adds your own Emotion to a Magi, be it a Spirit or a Body type. Adding Soul to a Magi makes it more versatile and flexible, and essentially, the strongest quality of all. It is only expected of Los Magus.

The difference

Lens

Not everybody is born a Lens. The Len's is a normal person, without heightened intentions to kill, lie or cheat. They live life as they were ment to until they are Inflicted. Unlike the Livs, Lens can harness the element of Aether.

The Lens are more competent in Soul and Spirit type Magi, as their alignment is not corrupted or severed. They are capable of Form and Body, but due to the fact that they haven't crossed over, they have not achieved an open mind in terms of Magi.

Lens Type of Prima Materia is only compatible for the following elements:

+ Fire
+ Wind
+ Flora
++ Ice
++ Wood
++ Metal
+++ Aether

Livs

Some people can actually be born a Liv, they have it easy, as their mind is not mature, and will be capable of overcoming TSIN due to pure innocence. The Liv's are destroyers by nature, they all the evil intentions locked into the Len's that are locked subconscious are released. Only those with strong wills and resolve should be able to overcome the TSIN. The period of TSIN subsides only until the Liv is ready to let it go, this is easier said than done. Unlike the Lens, Livs can harness the element of Nyx.

The Livs are more competent in Form and Body type Magi, as their alignment is corrupted or severed. They are capable of Soul and Spirit, but due to the fact that they have crossed over they have achevied an open mind in terms of Magi and even more capable that Lens,

Livs Type of Prima Materia is only compatible for the following elements:

+ Water
+ Earth
+ Lightening
++ Sand
++ Eri
++ Void
+++ Nyx

Magi

What makes a strong Magi Technique? I will explain and rank the types of Magi.

E Ranks - Just a Magi with an element infused, very easy to use, also, typically weak. But the beauty with E ranks, they are very easy to upgrade by adding Spirit, Body, Form or Soul to it.

D Rank -
A Magi with an element and Spirit or Body infused in it. It is a typical Magi used by Norma Magus.

C Rank -
A Magi with an element and both Body and Form infused to it. It's a typical Magi used by Norma Magus and Fel Magus.

B Rank - A Magi with an element and both Spirit and Soul infused to it. It's a typical Magi used by Fel Magus

A Rank - A Magi with an element and Spirit + Body with either Form or Soul. It's used by Los Magus.

S Rank - Magi with an element and all components added to it. It is the most difficult and personal Magi. It can be taught, and if it is, it has to be modified so it can be compatible. It is probable that a Magus will only be able to have 1 S Rank Magi in an entire life time.

Magus

When a Magus leaves the university of Lapto, they are a fully fledged Magus, but as they advance they are promoted to higher ranks, thus enabling higher pay and more dangerous missions.

Norma Magus

A Norma Magus is a Magus that has graduated the Magi Academy Branch in Lapto or any other University. They are limited to low-risk missions and are considered rookies. They usually don't have expert Magi control and can't keep up with the higher ranks. When on a mission they usually have to be accompanied by a Fel Magus. The common age for a Norma Magus would be 12-19, depending on the date they entered the Magi Academy.

Fel Magus

Fel Maguses are much more adept than the Norma Magus, as they have been somewhat veteraned and have accumulated much more skill and experience. The are limited to low to medium risk missions and are the middle rank or the Maguses. They have satisfactory Magi control and it is at this rank when they are expected to work on their practical leave thesis, which is their own personal S Rank Magi. They are give 5 years to complete it and it is not expected to be completed until they are promoted to Los Magus. At this stage, Fel Magus are able to do solo missions without the aid of a higher ranking Magus. The expected age for a Fel Magus would be 16-31.

Los Magus

The highest ranking Magus with authority over civilians and lower ranking Magus alike. These are the elites of elites, and their are only a handful of them. They are expected to accept high risk missions on a daily basis and have superior Magic control. This enables them to utilize their personal S Rank technique flawlessly. Los Magus can command a troop but are expected to do accept solo missions as they are the most high risk out of all of them. The expected age for a Los Magus would be 24-70.

Prima Materia, an artifact left by Metatron, Uriel and Razael, three great legendary Lens. It takes any shape and form (such as a sword or a book), that you can junction an element to. This artifact was founded by two men known as Des Dilanifer and Cid Hilda.

I, II, III and IV

Prima Materia, like any other weapon, comes in different degrees of strength. To find a Prima Materia, you have to look in areas that have strong importance to the history tied to Lens or Livs, depending on the type you want.

I

Level I, these Prima Materia are the weakest of the bunch, the fist examination of the Lapto University is to find their Prima Materia, and it is also the Magus' first mission. With this level of Prima Materia, you can junction only 1 element to it. It is incapable of compounding and Perfect Sync.

II

Level II, vastly stronger than level I, it requires a much higher Magi Control to wield. You are able to junction 2 elements and compound them together. It is incapable of Perfect Sync.

III

Level III, only suitable to Fel Magus or Los Magus, it requires an incredible amount of Magi and Magi Control, and you are able to junction 3 elements. You are able to junction 3 elements and is capable of Perfect Sync.

VI

The ultimate, Level VI. Finally, a level VI Prima Materia is a Level III that has being perfectly Sync'd. It has incredibly strength and can refine Magi a lot more adeptly than the other three. However, it requires an incredible amount of Magi and Magi Control to wield, but you can junction 4 elements that you compound. Also, you can have two compounds if you wish.

Perfect Sync

Will be explained when the time is right.

Aether Flama
Aether Gala
Aether Gaia

Nyx Stroma
Nyx Qua
Nyx Bolta

Wtf is Junctioning? It's when you equip an element to your Prima Materia. How many elements can you junction to your Prima Materia? Now thats a question of strength of the Prima Materia's part, if you junction an element to a low-leveled Prima Materia, it just may asplode.

How I meak Junction?

Well first you need to obtain an element ether, and merge it with your Prima Materia. Now, element ether is drawn from the element itself, such as wind, say you wanted wind. What you'd do is you'd go into an area with an abundance of wind, such as a mountain. Your elemental ether with draw the essence from the wind with your concentration and Magi control.

You start with 1 primary element, as you advance you collect more. The maximum amount of elements you can collect is 4.

Compounding

Compounding is slightly more complicated, to compound an element you have to go through the TSIN stage and obtain a new element, Ex, if you wanted to obtain the element of Ice, you'd have to obtain Wind as a Lens and Water as a Liv. Step two, merge the essences, long process, the first PC who has it done first will be shown how its done. Compounding increases your destructive power by 2.

Prima Mobilus

Holy City of Cheradon

It's a central hub, where all the Lens are found mooching around. It's full of business men and construction workers. Maguses, too. You won't feel alone in this city and you'll find all sorts, such as cafes where you can hang out.

Magisterum

Where all Maguses collect missions, and pay. It has a residency compound as well as council room, which is most commonly known as the white room. You'll be seeing a lot of this place, that I can guarantee. All Maguses are allowed free acomendation, but as you are promoted, you are entitled to more luxurious estates.

Lapto University

Even though you have graduated from the university, you'll find that you'll still be passing through it a lot. the University holds is own missions, and employs Maguses aswell as the Magisterum. But not only that, due to the high ranking professors, you'll find you'll be going back and forth to be identifying items and artifacts. Also, in bonus, their are couple of Magi professors that have attained Los Magus ranking but have retired such as Des Dilander. You may want to speak to him for advice or ask him to teach you a new Magi. If you're lucky.
