The green-eyed of the pair still paced restlessly around his brother. He wasn't hungry anymore, but he was still bored as hell. He was sure now that mother wouldn't catch up with them anytime soon, but noted that it may not have been the best idea to tell Maim this information. "Will you stop playing with that damned thing and get up? It's not a toy anyhow. EAT IT ALREADY!" his voice finally rose to a scream as his frustration boiled over the top. Maim just didn't seem serious enough, and Rend was growing more and more anxious about this sitting still thing by the minute.

It was a wonder the two were even here now. They were growing fast and didn't really need their mother anymore, but it would have been proper for any normal puppy to stay with their parents. But these two felt that it would have been a bad idea.

Nitika had kept her five-strong litter alive for a long time, but after the pups had opened their eyes, the bulky femme decided five was not good. She picked through them, mercilessly shaking them to death until only two were left – the two that she would raise and manipulate to jump at her every command. She would need to make these two the strongest possible to take down everyone who had wounded her along the way. In her twisted mind, this was everyone she had come across - including the father of these puppies.

The two had realized early on what had happened to their siblings, and also realized that their mother was lazy and for the most part, ignorant. While she was napping early one afternoon, the two had slipped away…

Maim’s yellow eyes shifted momentarily back to his brother. “I’m not hungry.” he snarled, still toying with the squirrel carcass that lay between his paws. Rend could scream all he wanted. “Scream, little b***h. Call mother to us, or maybe FATHER. He would end our lives faster than mother killed the rest of us.” He knew that would hurt his brother. All Rend really wanted was to find out the wolf that he mindlessly called ‘father’. He also wanted to avoid their mother, but that was more a joint aspiration, that the both of them shared. Truthfully, Maim couldn’t care less about their father – he was probably as ******** up as mother was.

Finally, the dusty brown sibling threw the squirrel aside and stood up. “Fine, lets go then.” Though he didn’t know where they were going. Neither of them led, and neither followed… the two just walked dutifully side by side. They would know when they got there.

Those incompetent little...

The black wolf snarled to himself, angry with the pack that he ruled over. Well, partially ruled over. There were two other alphas beside himself, but that would be soon to change. He would kill them both and crush anyone that opposed him. He would gain full control over the pack now and forever more. All he needed were a few things to make him have the best advantage over everyone else. Then he'd be absolute ruler and no one would be able to question his authority.

But until then he would--

Yellow eyes narrowed dangerously as the scent of two puppies drifted across his path on the wind. The white hair atop his head bristled as his hackles rose and a deep, guttural growl formulated within his throat.

Two lonely puppies were exactly what he needed to vent out his anger. Not even caring if he made any sound, Dunn stormed in the direction of the puppies. His blood rushed through his veins as he was filled with the sensation of a hunt. How he loved to taste the flesh of puppies being torn to pieces with his sharp teeth. It was the main reason why the puppies were kept far away from him within the pack. It was also why he was kept contained while there were puppies about, as they loved to wander and get into mischief. But that in turn had made him restless and yearn for blood.

Today, though... today he would get his fill. Finally.

"Finally." Rend grunted angrily as he spoke, looking at the squirrel disdainfully. His brother had damn near tortured the critter to death, and then didn't even have the decency to eat it - he just sat there and picked it apart.

The black and brown pup glared at his brother, trembling slightly from the hurtful words spoken moments ago. Their father would never hurt them. Or he thought so, anyway.

Rend dropped to the ground suddenly, as a strong scent filled his nostrils. Another wolf was crashing through the bushes...

"Maim!"

Maim glared sullenly at his brother, wondering just who he thought he was, acting like that towards his own brother. Grumbling under his breath, he walked a few paces forward before spinning to look back at Rend.

"Well? You wanted to go, so lets go." the pup complained, mockingly. Suddenly Rend hit the ground, and Maim couldn't understand why. "What?!" he half-yelled, getting very irritated.

Suddenly, he heard the noise too. Looking back over his shoulder, the puppy flicked his ears back and crawled quickly to his brother. Together the two stood waiting, trying to look intimidating.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 04, 2007 10:27 pm

The large male charged through the bushes, his breath coming out hard and fast as his paws pushed against the ground and propelled him forward. He didn't care how much noise he made. He was only after little puppies anyways. Besides, he'd get a thrill out of scaring them to death. They'd probably be so frozen with fright that he could just tear into them straight away, no hassle. He began to drool at the mere thought.

Now, normally he wasn't a cannibal. But there was just something about puppy meat that drew him in. It was so tender and soft; he just couldn't wait to taste it again. It had been far too long.

Following the scent, Dunn continued on, driven forward by his dangerous thoughts. He was entering a diferent mindset now. No longer was he the poised and magnificent alpha that he normally was, day to day. Now he was becoming a savage beast, lusting for blood and not stopping until it was acquired. The ending just couldn't be pretty.

And it was only a matter of time before he--

"Hello, little puppies," he growled with satisfaction, licking his lips as his eyes shimmered with hunger. "What are you doing out here all alone? You know there are dangerous wolves around here, just waiting for little guys like you to come along and fall into their trap..." He lifted his head and chuckled darkly to himself. Oh the irony! He was so brilliant.

Tossing his head to the side so that the white hair atop his head would move out of his eyes, he took a slight step forward. "Where is your mother? Your father?" he spoke, feigning concern. But it was all game. He would toy with their minds and then go in for the kill. Because simply killing them quickly wouldn't be much fun. It wouldn't take much time and then what would he do?

So he'd play it out and perhaps he'd start up a fun game. Twisted, but fun.

Rend tensed and waited, ears flicking at each pounding footfall from the approaching stranger. He didn’t huddle with his brother, or cower, but merely stood. Mother had tried teaching them how to fight – not to defend themselves, but to downright hurt someone else – but Rend and Maim had no chance fighting if this wolf were bigger than them, and by the sound of it, he was.

“I’ll never run.” He whispered to Maim, hoping that the sibling felt the same way about the situation. It would be a lot easier if they stayed together. Rend had a strong belief in strength in numbers.

As the very obviously bigger wolf charged into the area, Rend tried his hardest not to flinch or propel himself backwards. Showing fear was the worst thing he could do – he was sure of it.

Maim had just caught his brother’s words and nodded when the mountain of a wolf made his way up to them. The pup was frightened inside, but as he noticed his brother maintain a calm front, he was more easily able to pull it off himself.

There was no doubt to Maim that this wouldn’t be a friendly experience. This wolf reminded him too much of Mother, and the thought of her sent a shiver down his spine. He spoke like she did, too. Everything seemed fake.

Maim honestly had no idea of how to answer this stranger’s questions. He really didn’t know why they were here… or at least, didn’t have an answer that he wanted to share with anyone. “Your trap.” His eyes narrowed, accusingly, assuming and accusing before the stranger could believe that he really had them tricked.

Their parents? He wondered if he should lie and say they were on their way. He knew they would never come, though. Maybe Mother would try to find them, but would probably just give up and fall back asleep before she even got close.

“Nowhere.” He finally answered. “What are you doing around here… all alone?”

When the pups didn't automatically tremble or run away from him, Dunn was pretty disappointed. What fun was scaring the crap out of little puppies if he didn't actually scare the crap out of them? He'd have to step things up a notch. Which was perfectly fine for him. He had nothing else to do for the rest of the day. He could devote all of his time to these puppies.

Taking a small step closer, he gave a rather sadistic grin. But when he was accused by the pup to have a trap for them, the grin instantly faded and his eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Better watch who you accuse, pup," he growled. "Especially when you are so small and so... defenseless."

At the mention that his parents where nowhere around, the grin came back and he lowered his head so that he could look at them eye to eye. "Such a shame, too. No parents? There's nothing worse than being an orphan in a strange land with so many dangerous wolves around." He almost laughed to himself. These puppies had no chance against him whatsoever. They would fall to him and he'd have such a delicious meal.

"What am I doing here all alone?" he echoed, raising his brows slightly. This pup had guts, he had to give him that. He hoped they were tasty guts. "Looking for a meal, that's all," he replied quietly, looking at the pups again with a certain hunger in his eyes.

"Either of you know where I can get some fresh meat?"

Rend knew from experience that Maim could be mouthy, but damn. His brother’s big mouth was going to get them killed, he just knew it, but the quieter of the duo couldn’t bring himself to say much, and figured it best if he didn’t pick fights with his only ally in the situation.

“Small, and young too – but we’re not stupid. We have defenses same as you, only suited to our size.” He spoke in the defense of his brother. Size was the only thing the stranger had on them. If they were older and bigger, this male would be royally screwed – but Rend knew it would be best to keep those thoughts to himself. There was no point in suicide.

“We’re not orphans. If anything, our parents are orphaned from us.” It may not have made sense to anyone listening, but to the pup it made perfect sense. They had left Mother in the dirt to wallow and cry without them…

Before Rend could say more, Maim butted in, clearing his throat. “We know all about dangerous.” Their parents had been plenty dangerous, and Maim at least was sure that Mother would have killed them too along the way, had they not striven so hard to be strong for her.

Yellow eyes staring cold and hard at the stranger, Maim nodded as his question was repeated back to him. “There’s a squirrel left from our meal, but you’re a big wolf – need more than a puny squi--.”

“You can eat Mother.” Rend interjected, just loud enough to be heard.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 08, 2007 9:52 am

"Did I ever say you were stupid?" he growled. But soon after he simply lifted his head and snorted. It wasn't time for him yet to eat the puppies. And he didn't want to scare them that much yet so he had to restrain himself. But every fiber in his being was telling him to lunge and just devour the little things. Oh how easy that would be! But he'd have nothing to do afterwards so he figured he would occupy himself now while he could.

"Oh I'm sure you have defenses of your own. But against what? Squirrels?" He almost laughed out loud. These puppies were talking tough to try and persuade him away from them. But he knew that he could crush their skulls and little bodies with one snap of his jaws. Just thinking about it made his mouth water with anticipation.

When they talked about their parents being orphaned from them, the large male snorted again. "All the same, it means you are alone." He could really care less as to why or how they were alone. It only mattered to him that they were. And that meant they he had the ability to do whatever he wished with them.

As they continued talking, Dunn couldn't help but be amused by them. They tried to appear perfectly fine and capable by themselves, but he knew how vulnerable they were at that age. They might consider themselves strong or smart or cunning, but they had limits. And according to Dunn, their limits were incredibly low. Puppies were nothing but scum to be devoured to him. The only puppies worth keeping alive were his own, and only then because they were like him.

"That is true, I sometimes need more than a squirrel to satisfy me. But you know... I'm just looking for--"

He cut himself off as Rend murmured that he could eat their mother. He snorted again. "I prefer bite-sized meals," he spoke as he licked his lips, hinting that he meant them. "Besides. I don't eat women. I just make them bear my children, and I kill them if they don't comply. And didn't you say you were orphaned anyways?" he asked, tossing his head to get the white fluff atop his head out of his eyes. "That means your mother isn't around. I'm not going to go around searching for her. I'd much rather settle with something a little more... accessible."

In other words, the pups.

((I'm sliding Algoma in if that is okay.))

Icey eyes had been watching the pups for some time. She was becoming bored with the waiting game, but if they would possibly work in a vicious pack, she needed to see what they could do. The one that tortured his squirrel to death had made a wicked smile play on the corners of the lynx's lips.

The ivory head looked towards the clumsy ruckus that the over grown black mutt had brought with him. The sound of an annoyed growl was soft in her throat.

"Just what I need," she muttered narrowing her eyes. This male had the body language screaming devoure le puppies, but he drooled too much for the fincky lynx's taste.

Stretching out her front paws the flowers on her back stretched out as well. Algoma watched and listened from her position, the pair of pups had a mouth on them. This Algoma liked nearly as much as the torture of the smaller weaker animal. However, though she was one of the leaders in Twist's pack, she still had a fancy herself to torture the weak minded.

Icey orbs locked onto the adult, though larger then the lynx in size he was a doofus. His head was too big for his body and this brought the lynx to move foreward. She was the size of a large teenage wolf, but she was quicker then the feather brains.

"I normally find that though the meat is more tender there is never enough on their bones," Algoma spoke in a casual voice, eyeing the male, though she looked down at the pair breifly.

"Anyways, don't you have a pack that you belong in?" her eyes now became as cold as her voice.

Two pups that orphaned their parents, that fit her requirements for the application for new warriors. She wouldn't call them slaves and wouldn't exactly tell them that just yet. Algoma had to first get the pups to trust her, this Twist had explained to the lynx, so to prevent the death of possibly members.

Rend was done talking, and hoped Maim was as well. He simply sat and glared at the bigger male, thinking to himself what he would do if he were the bigger one...

He wouldn't screw around, that was for sure. An evil smile played across his maw as he mutilated the older wolf and tortured him - all in his mind, of course.

Shrugging, the lighter brother got to his paws. "It really doesn't matter what you want to do to us. We're not afraid of you, and really... we don't fear pain or dying." he stole a glance at his brother. He was sure the dark pup felt the same way. Father was bred deep into them, that was for sure.

"So what are you gonna do, big one? If you let us go you'll have a fair fight later on. Or you could kill us now, with no satisfaction from our fear." with that, he snarled. It was to make a point, but it was also the smell of cat that triggered the reaction.

He wasn't sure if the cat was addressing them or the older wolf, asking about packs and such, so Maim stood still and quiet. Any hint of his earlier mouthier self was gone on the wind. He had never encountered this critter before, but the fact that it was bigger than he and his brother and had teeth and claws just like they did told him it would be as much a challenge as the big wolf-kin standing before them.

Oh wonderful. Stupid pups. Not afraid to die? Dunn felt that they must be dense to ignore something so great as death. Either that or they were like him, bold and fearless. But no one could come close to him in his mind, so he simply settled for the puppies being dense. It was much more satisfying to his ego.

"That's a shame. I was really hoping for some fun. Honestly, what happened to puppies who liked to have fun? These new generations are just spiralling down to doom." He shook his head and sighed dramatically. But, in all truths, he was getting tired of this. He was irritated that he wasn't getting the reaction he had been hoping for from the puppies. He was itching to either eat them and get it over with or just storm away and find something better to do.

When the pup nearly challenged him, he roared angrily and glared down at the pup. "If you think that you could ever measure up to me, you--"

But the alpha's rant was cut rather short as a lynx entered on the scene. Great, wonderful. Just what he needed. Some damn cat to ruin his fun even more. When she spoke about the pups not having enough meat, Dunn snorted angrily.

"Whatever, meat is meat. What do you want anyways, cat?" he spoke, spitting out the word cat. He loathed felines with every fiber in his being. They were worthless creatures, using trickery and foul play. But, of course, so did Dunn in some occasions. But that wasn't the point. The large male was one of those adults that often said 'Do as I say, not as I do.' It bothered him when his tactics were 'copied' by others. Couldn't they come up with just a little bit of originality?

"Who is that question for? Damn it, talk so we can understand you. Stupid cat." He growled low and tossed his head in annoyance.

He really hated this place.

Algoma didn't look at the pups, frankly they were aggravating the male better then she had observed. To bad they weren't larger she would have liked to seen the scarred up black pelt in shreds at their paws. The smell was mutual for all it seemed in the clearing, her scent aggravated even the little ones' noses, as all three dogs made hers itch.

"Mutt," she hissed, "that is the reason why you probably have to hunt on more regular occasions. Not eating the right fill for you're big head." her words didn't hold any friendly tone as she eyed the alpha. She was avoiding his question, the only one she willingly answered questions for was Twist.

"I heard the pups say they have orphaned their parents, so obviously you need to pay more attention. With all those scars I figure you have to fight to hold you fat head up so high." Algoma's eyes flashed, pleased but that simple motion could be interrupted to any degree, as she saw the annoyance in the large male.

Angry minds never worked as good as calculating ones. Twist made it clear, able bodies would help in the massacre to come, but maybe she just wanted to smell a mutt's blood shed and stain the ground. The brothers were to young to inflect the pain on this low life, but Algoma would gladly do it without a glance back. So what if scars decorated her coat, maybe this male could take the infuriating flowers off her back and side.

Claws extracted from her paws and almost a childish twisted smile played onto her maw. Some said she had a death wish since escaping her worthless mother's womb, Algoma took the blood lust as a gift not a curse. Claws raked against the grass and dirt under them.

"Would you like to have the possibility of killing off an annoyance to most of your kind, before you continue your snacking game?" the question was purred from the depths of the ivory throat. The last fight she had the possibility of killing a mutt ended to quickly in a thirst for power to be achieved.

The green eyed pups hopes and dreams for the moment were smashed as his brother kept on and on, until finally the big male got really up in arms. But that was Maim's specialty, so while it was frightening to see things unfold, Rend was somewhat proud of his brother. Their mother had taught them certain tricks, and Maim wasn't wasting a smidgen of his knowledge.

When the lynx made himself visible, Rend gathered himself up and moved forward to stand beside his brother. Now there seemed to be three sides to this party, and while they were the smallest... there had to be some strength in numbers.

There. That was what he had wanted.

Maim grinned through the torrent of anger, and almost looked sad when the loud mouthed older wolf was cut short. The pleasure was all his when it came to pissing wolves off, pushing their buttons and causing them to explode in anger. Making weaker wolves sad was fun too... but anger was his favorite emotion to invoke. Maim knew that Rend figured he wouldn't live too long doing this.

Well then. Listening to the conversation, Maim could say he almost liked the cat - if only in reaction to a mutual irritation of the bigger wolf. The cat was crazy too, and Maim liked that. "Beat his a**, Lynx." he urged the two into a fight, giving Rend a look of sheer joy as his sibling joined by his side. "Are you gonna take that, big one? Pushed around by a little kitty!"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 08, 2007 4:01 pm

Her patience and will power to remain still dropped quickly. The mostly white lynx shrugged her shoulders before starting to circle around the large black and white mohawked male. The golden eyed pup began to talk again.

His words were to urge on the fight between the larger adult male wolf and the smaller adult feline. Icy eyes moved over the scarred up pelt and looked at the muscels under it. They were defined, but if the owner of them didn't know how to use them properly. Those very muscels could be their death, Algoma knew that she too could be taken down by the misuse of her muscels just the same.

Head low to the ground, feet moved with soft wide swept motions, eyes locked, and ears listened to the whole area. Algoma was tired of words, but she did decided to entertain the pups at least with one last comment.

"Oh don't tell me that the little kitty has gotten a hold of your tongue, so soon," the words poured out of the malicious mouth like hot lava from the mouth of a volcano. It almost seemed to have the sizzling noise as well as the words bubbled about the clearing.
