Eshan casually walked through the woods that led to the Swamp of the Coffee Numas. He didn't pay any attention to the warning signs that explicitly directed his own type of Numa in the opposite direction. He then gazed towards the sky. He couldn't tell the time of the day since the thick woods covered his view. He then summoned out a vibrant burst of energy from his paw to light his way. He loved to explore and this challenge only made it better for him.

High in a tree that wasn't quite alive anymore, George sat and contemplated moving, she was comfortable where she was, but bored. It was a tough decision to be made, indeed.
Far below a brightness burst into being, stretching her neck and peering over the limb on which she sat George discovered that moving was easier than she had believed it to be only a moment before. There was something giving off light below. Down branch to branch she moved, silently stalking to the swampy floor she went. The brightness, the light had moved on but she followed tracking prints in the wet earth and a scent that was unfamiliar in this area.
"Sunglow, did go, this way pass?" She murmured to herself quite forgetting that she was not at all alone and would be overheard.

A loud rustle of branches and the surprising on-set of dead leaves drew Eshan's attention to the tree above him. He moved his flame up a bit to examine what lay before him. He was taken back by emerald green eyes that seemed complexly interesting. "Why hello there. I didn't think anyone would be here, but it's always nice to see company." He gave a welcoming look to the Coffee before him and lowered his flame back to it's original position.

"I greet thee Sunglow!" George exclaimed a little loudly, eyes wide and taking in what light was being given off, she was used to being alone and speaking to only herself, today she was feeling rather rational, even if she wasn't, so speaking louder than what she did for her own self seemed right. "New before, not like before, off track." when she spoke again she spoke in a normal tone and shook her head, ears flopped against stubby horns. "Not moon, not sun, not fire," George ticked off, making marks in the soil with one claw for each he was not. She narrowed her eyes and addressed him once again. "Nice." and nodded.

Eshan shly gave a warm smile. New people always made him slighly uncomfortable, but he had long ago resolved to always meet new people and welcome them warmly. He moved slightly closer to her and brought a flame close to her, so that she could better see her markings in the sand. "I hope that helps you with your work. I'm Eshan, may I ask what your name is Miss?"

George shook her head at his question. Back and forth. Of course he could ask it if he wanted to, he clearly wanted to and did ask, but it was not something she could easily give, she liked labeling things, this included other numa, in her own way, but her own name, she hated it. She looked away from the brightness that emanated from the male Candy's paws. If she had more reasoning power she would give up the name placed upon her and call herself anything else, but she couldn't or didn't or wouldn't, depending on the day.
"George."

Eshan watched patiently as she contemplated his question. He wasn't in any kind of a hurry or rush and this provided him with the opportunity to meet a Coffee Numa and to mingle with a Numa of the opposite gender. Which he severely lacked experience in since he had only previously spoken with his twin sister. He then noticed that past the thick coverage of the swamp, the sky had darkened quite a bit and he assumed that night had fallen. He looked down at eye level with her as she spoke her name. "George, that's a very pretty name. Does it have a back story or meaning?" He gave another smile, but not for the expected reason as he was still quite nervous about speaking to someone outside his very small social circle.

George blinked. That was unexpected in almost every sense of the word, she turned her head to regard this Candy in a new way and a tiny smile graced her lips revealing the tiny pointy teeth that were her nature. Her green eyes remained unusually wide, "Unexpected. Telling, tilling, planting." When she spoke the words were given slowly with a pause between, when she was trying to explain something, this was usually the course that was taken however useful it was or was not was irrelevant to the one speaking. It wasn't that she didn't care, contrary to that, to be understood would be the highlight of her existence.
"Dreary me, I don't know, I can't say, it won't stay." Here she pointed one claw at her own head, then she turned her paw at Eshan, "Sunglow, brighty nightly rightly so, stories spoken softly, sink in." Tilting her head at the male she grinned expectantly, like they were sharing a joke or an old bond. Beside the fact that they had just met, the male vaguely reminded her of someone, maybe. Or maybe she just wanted to believe so, since she might of felt that it was easier to be friendly with someone you already knew.

Eshan listened intently as each word escaped her lips. She seem focused as her paw pointed directly at him. "Sunglow? Why yes, my name originates with the sun's passion in mind. How did you know? You must be very intuitive. Maybe is has something to do with your eloquent manner of speech?" He moved the flame outward to illuminate their surroundings. He searched for a bit as he tried to see if any residences were nearby. However, only a small circle was visible in the night's thick darkness. "Do you happen to live around here Miss George?"

Now a much wider graced George's face along with a slight blush, she thought of honey when he spoke, smoothness. George nodded, "Colors speak radiantly, flowing forth, curving back. Speak softly, speak slowly, whisper, afterwards. Ears open, to the sky to the sky, tellings flow in, dance~" George had settled to the dirt, laying comfortably on her belly speaking up to Eshan she watched silent as he looked around, she watched his glowing paws for an extended moment after he had asked.
"Everywhere, all around, sleep high, eat south, drink deep." She wanted to express how much she liked exploring the swamps that was her home, "Dreary, exqusite, terrifically, here."

Eshan listened intently as she spoke. Somehow her words made sense to him. He then gave her a smile. "So I take it you just go where you please? That must be very nice to be so free in this world of ours." He then thought of his family back in the forest of lollipops. He had never really yearned for home or cared much for it's surroundings. The swamp had immediately drawn his interest. He then turned to her again as she spoke her last sentence. "I know what you mean, the swamps do seem to have a lot to offer in terms of adventure. Have you been all over these swamps?"

George answers with a nod and a secret smile, but how it express? She was still for a moment, clearly thinking. A large lunar mint moth fluttered over the heads of the numa, it caught George's eye and she followed its floating path. "Disconnections. Lovely, dreary; simultaneous." George nodded though disagreed with her words, "Still many dreams to see, too much daylight not enough 'spance. Taking tiny bits at a time, savoring." She stood then, tail twitching to give chase to the teasing moth, but first she catches Eshan's attention, "You're it."

Eshan watched as the moth danced about George's presence. He gave a slight smile as she seemed somewhat amused by the tiny insect. He then gave a slightly perplexed look and with a bit of shyness in his voice, he replied. "Me..? Oh, um I don't think I could play tag that well." He gave a nervous laugh and looked away. He still wasn't the best at conversation. Then, as if to amend for his last words, he looked at her again. "If it amuses you though, I don't mind giving it a try."

George smiled, though it was more of a smirk, as she knew that words weren't always needed to express what you wanted, sometimes they came out wrong.
With a joyous laugh she bound after the fluttering moth, sometimes chasing it, sometimes stalking it, she would look back to Eshan now and then as they went deeper into the swamps, she would point out different flora to him, like the large dark petaled blooms that opened at night but smelled intensely and the licorice vines and where to watch out for particularly swampy patches.
After a time George stops, she had lost sight of the moth and had grown a little thirsty too, using her nose and not her eyes she turns her head this way and that, scanning the area. "Ah~" She calls and then ducks through the underbrush, she had located a fresh brewed coffee spring, this one she liked in particular because of the interesting creamy flavor that was given off by the plants in the area and seeped into the spring as well. During the warmest parts of the day this little bit of the swamp was filled with what smelled to George like irish cream, and it's taste was pure happiness. After drinking her fill, she lifted her head and looked around to see if Eshan had followed or not, she wanted to offer the spring to him, see if he could stand coffee at all.

Eshan had been entangled by the thick swamp flora. He was highly intrigued by the wonders of the dark world before him. He had never smelt such strange scents or been entranced by so many different auras unlike his own. He looked at the unique female beside him with great admiration for showing him her great hospitality. Eshan's foot became caught in a licorice vine and he took a few minutes to untie himself. He almost lost sight of his Coffee host, but was able to catch up to her after a serious sprint. He then noticed to strange spring before him. It smelt odd, but odd in an enticing way. Eshan observed George as she took a large helping of the strange liquid for herself. As soon as she finished he met her gaze. Her green eyes pulling him closer to the edge of the spring. "What, if I may ask, is that?" He softly questioned at her.
