well, The longest battle I've ever had in any video game would be legend of the dragoon. It took me two hours! God how i hated that final boss and his three forms. It annoyed me that I had run out of items like in the first hour and i stii managed to beat him... sweatdrop
The second longest battle I've ever had would probably be that of Kingdom hearts! DAmn! Ansem/ Heartless was tough!

I've had several...one from FFX, I know that one for sure. One of the monsters that you get to help create in the Arena. The ugly snail one...and some others.
I think the very last boss battle of Legend of Legaia had me going for a while, but I don't really know for sure.
I'll think up of the others sooner or later...

Swayambhu I've had several...one from FFX, I know that one for sure. One of the monsters that you get to help create in the Arena. The ugly snail one...and some others. I think the very last boss battle of Legend of Legaia had me going for a while, but I don't really know for sure. I'll think up of the others sooner or later... Hmm, surprisingly, I never really had a long battle in any of the final fantasies...

The Shadow Queen in Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door is long, mostly because she has three forms and can heal herself. But thanks to Vivian's Fiery Jinx and Mario's jumping and hammer skills, I can cut her down pretty quick. biggrin Take that, you Peach-possessing-meanie-Queen. *shakes fist*

FFX, No Sphere Grid Challenge, Seymour Flux. I just finished it yesterday smile I can only think how hard some of the more final bosses will be crying I almost got creamed about a zillion times. It was really luck and the fact that Yuna already knows cure and I was saving up LOTS of gil to buy good equipment. Otherwise, it would have been over in a second... the wrong way! gonk
I can't wait to get to the end. No Sphere Grid is really tough!

I think one of my longest battles was in FF9, um, the battle with Zidane and Quina vs. the Earth demon or something.
God it was about 5 years ago, I was up against him, all my might I do everything, but right at the end he casted doom on Zidane, and I killed him, then Zidane DIED! 2 hours down the drain crying Other than that, there might be but I don't remember...

The final boss in Golden Sun 2. I hated that thing. I battled it with that stupid dragon FOREVER.
And battling Sephiroth in KH2 wasn't exactly long, but it nearly gave me a heart attack. When he was down to his last health bar I practically stopped breathing I was so excited. Afterwards I was shaking cuz I was hyped on so much female-testosterone (don't have any idea how that's spelled)

One of my friends was sure he was going to die in that last battle on GOlden sun. All his characters save on were dead AND he barely had any items or life left. For the hell of it, he used an item that made instant death on enemies and it WORKED! O_O

My longest battle was actually in Pokemon Pearl, using Empoleon against a Dusclops with Leftovers that kept using Double Team. That took over an hour, because Empoleon kept missing, until Dusclops ran out of PP and had to use struggle. It actually killed itself that way because I couldn't hit it. And to top it off, it was in the battle tower, so I couldn't heal Empoleon after the one Sitrus Berry it had was gone.

My longest battle was in Dungeons and Dragons. One the final night of finals my college sophomore year, we had a massive "wrap up all the loose ends in the three-year long campaign session" We got into a battle that took us seven hours to finish. I've never seven so much mountain dew in all my life...

So far, the longest fight I've ever had to deal with in a Video Game is Omega Weapon from Final Fantasy Eight. Omega Weapon in that game, if you're at level 100, has 1.2 Million health.
I'm coming up on so rather unpleasantly long fights in Final Fantasy XII though.
1. Hell Wrym - 8.9 Million Health
2. Omega Mark XIII - 10.5 Million Health
3. Yiazmat - 50 Million Health
I'm expecting the fight with Yiazmat to last as long as five hours, to be honest. It's not going to be a pretty fight at all. Based on those numbers, and depending upon battle factors, I'm expecting Hell Wyrm and Omega Mark XIII (Omega Mark XIII is Final Fantasy XII's Omega Weapon) to take at least two hours.
