[Aria 1]

Arianum paced nervously in their dining room. She had asked all of her family to come together because she had a few things she wanted to talk to them about. Well, really she wanted to just tell them since she had already made up her mind. Aria was only a little bit worried that one of her parents might try to talk her out of her travel plans. Worse yet would be if her sister had an issue with her leaving without her. Her mind had been made up so quickly she didn't even consult with her sister. She liked to think they were pretty close so she felt a little nervous that Tali might be mad at her for not inviting her. Which she would do now if Tali showed any interest in where she was going. Every so often Aria would stop pacing and look out the window. It seemed almost lunch time which was when she asked her family to get together, knowing meal times were often the best way to make sure her parents had time. "I can do this..." She tried to talk herself up.

[Kresimir 1]

Kres had been working on a few random things around the Violet that Itotia had asked him to look into or fix. It'd kept him rather occupied for most of the morning though thankfully there was nothing that he hadn't been able to handle. He made sure he put all his tools back and made one last round around the establishment before being satisfied that he got to everything. Cleaning up at well outside, he decided to head inside for lunch. Itotia had told him that Aria had wanted to talk to everyone during lunch. He'd just raised an eyebrow and said he'd be there. Kres was curious what his daughter wanted to assemble them all for, what could she have to talk to them about...it must be something kind of big if she wanted all of them together. Walking into the kitchen he noticed her already pacing in the dining room. So she was nervous. Kresimir quickly poured himself a glass of water before joining her. "Are you okay Arianum?" He wanted to make sure before he had to sit and wait for his wife and other daughter to arrive.

[Taliessin 1]

Lately, Taliessin felt like her sister was hiding something. Growing up together, they never seemed to keep each other out of secrets, so it was strange when she began to suspect her sister was avoiding her. It wasn't often, but occasially, it would feel like Arianum would leave the room, or hide something she was planning.

So when the family was called into the room, Taliessin felt a bit of nervousness at what the topic could be. It was hard to imagine exactly what the girl would hide from her, let alone her family.

Moving into the kitchen first, she looked in to see her father already with her sister. Putting on her best smile and smoothing out her hair, she effortlessly hid her anxiousness before leaning up to give her father a kiss on the cheek.

Turning to her sister, she looked her up and down before finding her seat and sitting down. Her mother wasn't there yet, so she decided for once to sit quietly and wait.

[Itotia 1]

Itotia was not one to show concern. She was a hardened woman, from years of working at the Red, to years of building up her own business and family at the Violet. So when Aria came to her expressing a desire to speak with the family, Itotia only gave a soft smile to her daughter before moving away to let her family know. She assumed that her daughter came to her knowing that she wouldn't ask questions or push her ahead of time.

She noticed both her daughters were growing up, and missed the days where they once raised them. They were beautiful girls, growing to strong women who would one day take on the world.

Finishing up her training with the dancers, Itotia went to her room to rinse off her face before walking into the kitchen. Last to arrive, she glanced around the space before moving to join her husband's side. Her hand moved to brush against his arm, before settling on his back in a comforting manner before looking down to Aria.

[Arianum 2]

"Yes...no.....maybe?" Arianum said tentatively. She gave her sister a small smile as she arrived. The young woman fiddled with nails as she waited for everyone to get settled. "So I wanted to talk to everyone about something..." 'Obviously dummy, you asked them to join you.' She mentally chided herself. "So uh..." She started nervously. What would they think? Would Taliessin want to come with her? Would her parents even let her go by herself? "I want to leave home." She blurted out suddenly. "Not because I don't want to be here!" She added quickly. "I love you guys. But I want to travel....I want to see Yael, where Mom is from. And see Juahar and maybe go on an airship and just adventure..." Aria picked at her cuticles while looking down at the floor before she looked up tentatively.

[Kresimir 2]

Kresimir smiled up at his wife and patted her hand on his shoulders before putting his arm around her waist and pulling her close. He could only smile gently as one of his daughters explained why they had been acting so strangely lately. "It was about your age that I left home and traveled to Oba. It's a natural desire to be curious. Especially in our family it seems. I think most of my siblings left home pretty quickly except for maybe my youngest sister." He looked towards Itotia to judge her reaction. Kres knew her traveling experiences weren't quite as great as his own so her reaction to Arianum's declaration might be different.

[Taliessin 2]

Taliessin was silent. For once in her life, she wasn't even humming or tapping to fill the silence. She just blinked her bright eyes at her sister, caught off guard at the secret that spilled from her lips. She wanted to leave? To travel across the world? It didn't sound like a short trip to Oba for a few days, but a full on adventure that could take years.

Swallowing, Tali looked away from Aria and down at her hands, quiet as she listened to her parent's reactions and attempted to process her feelings.

Her heart felt betrayed, but her mind told her that this was merely an overaction, and her sister was just looking for something more than their sleepy settlement.

[Itotia 2]

The Yaeli took a deep breath, quiet and soft though the exhale was heard slightly in the immediate silence after her daughter's announcement. Her fingers dug slightly into Kres' back, before releasing and moving to rest in her lap. It wasn't anger that moved her actions, she was much too old for those sorts of outbursts, but instead a sense of heart ache that her daughter was at the age of wanting to go off on her own...and old enough to do so.

With regulations, of course.

Turning her head, she glanced at Taliessin before settling her gaze on her husband as he spoke up. He was the peace keeper of the family, and the one most used to handling these types of things considering his own large family. More often than not, she would let him take the lead and chime in once her thoughts caught up.

When he looked at her, she sent him a smile that was only slightly strained, before taking another deep breath to calm the tension in her body.

"Darling, why does it feel like you've been waiting a long time to tell us this?" She finally asked, gently. It felt like Aria was bracing herself for a fight, like she had this whole thing worked out in her mind. Had she been planning this for months? Years?

[Arianum 3]

She smiled softly at her parents but her smile faded when she looked at her sister whose gaze was now on her hands in her lap. She had wanted to talk to them all at once as she had feared if she didn't, her resolve to go would diminish and she would want to stay and make sure that they were okay. "It's something I've been thinking on for a little while, sure. But I wanted to make sure it was actually something I wanted and not just a whim....I guess I could've asked if we could all go together but you and Dad have to be here for the Violet and...I didn't know if Tali would be mad at me for wanting to go....I guess I was being a bit of a scaredy-cat about bringing this up..." She felt nervous, her resolve wavering a little, perhaps she had made the wrong decision after all.

[Kresimir 3]

The corner of his mouth turned down in a slight frown. He felt the honesty in his daughters words and yet the tension coming from her and others felt thick to him. Kres looked concerned as he eyed his other daughter, the one who had yet to say anything. He supposed Aria had not talked to her sister about it which he found a little strange. They were close, he had thought. Kres wasn't quite sure what all the women were feeling but being surrounded by estrogen made him a little weary and ready to try and diffuse the situation if he needed to. For now, he thought he would let the girls have a chance to air their thoughts so he could get a good reading on what everyone was feeling.

[Taliessin 3]

Her mind was going a mile a minute, but nothing came out of the strangely calm girl. Instead, she continued to listen to her sister, her long hair falling over her shoulder before she quickly lifted her hand to brush it aside. She didn't know what to say, so she said nothing at all.

[ Itotia 3 ]

The matron of their little family let out a long sigh to break the silence, moving to stand and go over to her daughter. Aria wasn't the one she expected to leave first, so she was surprised but not disappointed or angry. Maybe Taliessin needed to hear that from them in order to better process this change herself.

"You're right. We do have responsibilities here, but even more so we are a team. If your father needed to leave, I would miss him but also be willing to step up until he returned. The important thing is, you told us. Even if it was a little later than I personally would have liked..." Brushing her hand through her daughter's short hair a moment, she turned toward Taliessin.

"No matter where we might go, we're still family."

[Arianum 4]

Arianum smiled at her mom and gave her a tight hug. "Thank you." She said quietly and gave her one more squeeze. "Will you guys help me get what I need?" Aria looked hessitantly at her sister. She knew her sister had visited Oba some and wondered if she might have any advice. "Tali, do you have any advice from your trips to Oba?" She asked cautiously.

[Kresimir 4]

Kres smiled at his wife, she knew just what to say sometimes. He was so proud of her and the woman she had become. From the quiet hessitant young girl he had met as a boy himself to this strong mother, what else could he do but smile and be thankful for her? "As you mother said, no matter what happens we'll always be family. No matter where life takes the both of you, your Mom and I will still be here for whatever you need." He tried to make eye contact with both of his girls hoping to convey his sincerity.

[Taliessin 4]

Tali felt her cheeks warm at the comment from her mother, understanding from the no nonsense tone that this behavior was not appropriate. As her mother taught the dancers, if you have a problem you deal with it in the privacy of your room out of the public eye.

The fact her father reinforced it was the nail in the coffin that Tali knew it was time to act like a sister.

Taking a soft breath, she looked up shamefully before looking over to her sister.

"My trips? Oh...well...better not to travel alone..."
