So yeah. I'll be moving soon. We've decided to go back to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kansas is nice and all, but none of our family is here. We did move here to get away from them, but now that it's been a year we decided it's best to go back.

Also, Gary recently lost his job (new management, downsizing, blah blah blah) and he can't seem to find anything here. Abilene is a really small town, and he was lucky to find any sort of job in the first place. He was just offered a job with an Electrician in Tulsa, and decided to take it.

I'll be glad to be back; I grew up in Tulsa, and all my friends and family are there. Some exes too, but I think I can ignore them pretty well.

I hate moving though! I've just about gotten the house arranged the way I want it, after a year, and now I'll have to start all over again. Also, we'll have to stay with my parents for about a week, until we find a house of our own. I don't really want to, and Gary especially doesn't want to. But I think in the long run it will be better.

Anyway, I may be gone for a few weeks starting Monday. I'm not sure how long it will take us to get everything set up. Hopefully it won't be too long. And I should be able to stop by and see what's been going on at least once a week if I borrow my sister's comp. I'll miss you all! cry

I just recently moved....it was a pain in the a** cause it was my first time. Hopefully the second time I move out it will be smoother. My family can be kind of neuortic (sp?) and complain about every little thing.

yeah, i hared it when i had to move away from my friends and stuff. but it turned out to be a good idea to move. i look forward to seeing you in the guild again!

I don't like moving. But I like going places.

So, a small update.

I'm not really moved yet. I'm at my house in Kansas packing everything up to move it to Tulsa. So even though I'm posting now, there will be a few more weeks where I won't be able to post at all. cry

We've been living in Tulsa with my parents for the past month. It really sucks, but I won't go into that right now.
The worst part is, I've been searching fo a house to move into the whole time, and I can't find anything! The only houses we can afford are in the really scary parts of Tulsa. I think I may have found one in a nearby town, but it won't be ready for another month, and the guy won't even show it to me right now.

The whole thing makes me grumpy. And my parents are driving me batty. mad

Wow, I can sympathize. Finding housing is hard enough especially if you are being made to choose quickly or remain with the parents, which, let's face it is never fun or easy. sweatdrop
I have moved several times and had to live with in-laws for a few weeks in-between houses before and it was difficult, storing stuff, moving it twice instead of just once...
all the time in setting up a new place, it does take a long time to get everything where you want it and stuff.
The best advise is very clearly mark every box with what is in it and where it goes in what room or whatever so you can find again quickly if you need to when you move. I spent extra time marking everything well once when we moved and it was the best move ever.
Some other times I would only label the boxes "Bedroom" and nothing else, so I wouldn't know what was in it... stressed That was anoying when looking for something later and not being able to find it.
("I need tweezers to get out a splinter, quick, where are they?"...uhhh "...mmm ...huh ...unhuh ...??"

Aww... skelie... I will say a prayer for you sweetie, that the Lord will open up a door for you guys. I know what you mean about staying with parents. I lived in San Diego for a year with my bf's family. (he's from there initially) Well, I had a bum time finding work out there cuz we lived in the south end where noone hires you if you're not bilingual with either spanish or philipino. So, I was out of luck. Finally, me and my son went back to michigan. and my sweetie came six months later driving with the rest of our stuff. but man. for those six months i was at my moms.. then there was like another year.... so I spent 2 years there with her, and he spent 1 and a half. and, she wouldn't let us share a room cuz we weren't married. and she was afraid some of her strictly religious friends would disapprove of her. rolleyes Also, from the time I got back from San Diego, my mom was always telling me what i needed to do with my son. we got into it quite a bit. Then, finally, we got our own apartment (though the older of my 2 younger brothers came too and is still here). It took her a little while. But, by the next christmas, she finally started to calm down and back the hell off.

Now it's 2 years later, and we are still in the same apartment. I get along a million times better with my mom. She respects me as a mother and a parent much better now. She also doesn't bother us about not being married since my sister is seeing a guy and probably won't get married. And, he is a pill.

You ever hear that pink song where she says "you're just like a pill, instead of making me better. You only make me more ill" or something liek that. Well, that's him in a nutshell. and as time goes on she withdraws from the family and more to him. So, now that guy makes my mom love my man.lol.
