SettingThe summer festival is set on the beautiful Island of Ar' Idil, largest in the atoll. It will take place on the plains just to the west of the village. A few tents have been laid out in a large area which has scrubby low grass. The Festival is set to be one long day of excitement (yep, one - one week = 1 day ^^;; ) Way to get to the Island: From Cetalu you may assume you've been taken across by Alyosha on the small boat he has or transport in any special way you can : P If you're not from the Island you can assume you've arrived on the ferry (there will only be one) Events(12-1)Wed- Festival Begins. Introductions, setting up camp. (1-2)Thurs- Treasure hunt (lasts until end of festival). (2-3)Fri- Races. (3-4)Sat- Picnic / Barbecue. (4-5)Sun- Water fight : D (5-6)Mon- Raffle, Prizegiving. (6-late)Tues- Campfire, Stories, Fireworks. Festival Ends. AerandirOne Aerandir is to be won. A prompt will be opened for those who wish to join in and the chance of their winning will go up if they RP within the festival. The winner will be announced at the end of the festival.   Prompt: The little creature whose jar you have been looking after all this time finally springs to life in front of your eyes. It's new, curious and ready for anything. Write a little describing what you'd do / the first thing you'd introduce your new creature to. Please send all responses to me (Alyosha) via PM. Alyosha had spent the last few hours organising things and then rushing back and forth to transport various people. The ground in front of him was scattered with all the spare rugs and blankets they'd been able to find and similarly with large parasols of which there were only a few. To one side was a large pile of bricks and charcoal, to the other an array of hastily arranged tables with cloths over them, borrowed from Ar' Idil Lodge. Behind the pile of bricks was a large pile of driftwood, shaped conically and with plenty of tinder underneath : the campfire. It was still a bit early to light it though.
He smiled as he checked the various things needed organisation wise. He already had a rather large basketful of raffle prizes as well as a roll of raffle tickets and was eternally greatful to those guardians who had offered them. Several other small prizes had also been arranged at various places around the small encampment. Outside of the ring of the event there was plenty sleeping rolls and bedding for those who wished to camp out under the stars after the end.
Alyosha stretched and walked over to one of the stalls, checking the contents. The festival was about to begin.

The squeaking of wheels could be heard at a distance as one young brunnete was hauling a wagon full of plastic containers up to where the festival was being set up. She seemed to be having a pretty hard time of it and would stop often to push her pitch black sunglasses up, but she made it eventually, gasping and panting. She spotted ALyosha and began to haul the wagon towards him.
"Uh.. excuse me, but do you know where I could set this food up?"

Orian came walking up to the area for the festivites, wearing a smokey grey button up silk shirt, and a pair of black as sin jeans, though he was barefoot. His hair was loose, hanging down to about his shoulderblades, and his mechanical arm was obvious, though it wasn't making its usual clicking, as he had finally managed to find some decent parts to use in it to fix it for a bit. Waving to Aly, he sat down at one of the tables, waiting for everyone to show up.

Silently, Osero approached the festival ground. It wasn't that he was actively trying to be quiet. It was more that it was difficult to break the habits of a lifetime. Over the tall hunter's shoulder was a rather heavy-looking leather bag. It was filled with fish intended for the festival. He had caught them fresh in the early hours, and had spent the last little while gutting and cleaning his catches. He had figured that he probably shouldn't do that at the festival, afterall.
Now he would need to find somewhere to store it until it would be needed. It wasn't a good idea to leave the bag out in the sun. There was probably somewhere already set up for food and the like; seeing as all the preparations looked nearly complete. Striding into the area of low grass, parasols and tents, Osero paused for a moment to look around. There were a few people milling about, but it didn't look like much had taken place yet. That was good. He made his way along the tents, searching for a particular one.
Ah. There it was. The hunter ducked into the tent, taking his large bag of fish with him. This looked like it was the tent for holding food until it was needed. Unfortunately, tents were obviously not made for large Aerandir with wings. It was a little cramped, and he had to be careful not to knock anything. Finding a free spot, he unpacked the wrapped and cleaned fish fillets from the bag, stacking them up. There were quite a few - afterall, there would be a fair few people here. Finishing up, he stepped back outside the tent again, straightening up. Now he could pay attention to what was going on here properly.

Having just poked her head briefly into the Lodge Chao approached the set up at a jog, one hand keeping her slightly glowing satchel from bouncing along with her and doing damage to the glowing jar within. She'd pulled her hair up into a loose bun and thrown on a pair of slightly frayed jeans and a light shirt when she'd stopped at her home after cooking with Jizzy.
"Ah, Jizzy!" she called and waved to her friend, heading towards where she and Aly were, "I though you'd still be at the lodge," she glanced at the wagon full full of food. "Want some help setting up the food?"

A young man appeared from behind the bushes, having apparently arrived on the last ferry but decided to wander around the island a bit.
"Magnificent..."
He stared in awe of the decorations and the massive setup of the festival. The young man walked over to the nearest table and sat down his large picnic basket and began to unload the baked goods he had prepared.
"Even on an island like this, everyone must still enjoy cupcakes!"
He smiled and began to look around at the other people in the area, taking note of who was who as he unpacked.

"Hey, CHao.. Yah, I could use some help.."
SHe said, finding a table and beginnign to unload the food. There were potato chips with both salsa and guacamole, a large pizza the had been sealed up tight and when it was opened the steam rose up from it sending its cheesy arom into the air. A tray of sausage rools soon followed, and then the desert. The desert was a large tray, on the bootom a layer of cookies then a layer of chocolate pudding, then cookies again, then pudding and crumbled cookies on the top. Jizzy smiled proudly over at Chao.
"I think we did a good job, there are still some things back at the lodge, but those are for later.."
She said smilling. She tooka deep breath of air and something caught the brunnutes atention immediatly. She looked around, her grass skirt shifting around with the sudden movement and she spotted it. A young man with cupcakes.. The lure of the baked goods was to much and Jizzy began to walk over to him.
"Heylo! Welcome to Ar'Idil, I don't think I've seen you here before."

"I'm quite sure you haven't. I only just arrived. Hi there, my name is Blair."
He outstretched his hand to shake her's.
"A fine place you've got here....and the festival is amazing as well. Cupcake?"
Blair lifted up his plate of assorted cupcakes and smiled.

Orian smiled a little watching the other's arive, keeping quiet and just watching, lifting up his left hand, the mechanical one, to push a strand of his hair back from his face. Seems these where some of the new people that lived on this Island instead of the other.

Jizzy shook his hand cheerfully, smiling the whole time. She loved meeting new people. SHe took a seat on the bench by him.
"My name's Jizzy and thank you.."
She said, taking a chocolate cupcake from the bunch and taking a bite..
"Mmmmmm. These are excelent, did you make them?"

Kiro was a little reserved as he glanced about. He'd come across a little earlier in the day, but had mostly stayed out of peoples' way. He didn't really have much to offer by way of food, and he didn't know how useful he'd be with helping to set up.
But the Aerandir with him were proving restless. Tsukai seemed to have no troubles with sitting at Kiro's neck with the occasional peep - this stuff was new and scarey after all! But Pueblo seemed to want to run about and see this place she'd never seen before.
Kiro let go of her hand, and watched her run towards the people near the food. With a smile he followed her, feeling his shyness seem to come back. "Hey guys," he murmured, raising a hand slightly in greeting. He could feel himself begin to blush as he spoke. And his furry, white, neko-ears were twitching spasmatically again. So was his tail... Darn it...
"Hey-o!" Pueblo piped up excitedly, stretching a hand up as high as she could reach, and waving it enthusiastically.

A young girl came wandering in to the festival grounds a little white, black and yellow creature in her arms, a blue thing floating around beside her. She let out a yawn as she had recently woken up, her charge still asleep. If he wasn't he probably wouldn't still be in her arms. A small bag hung from her wrist as she looked around at everyone that was there already. Inside the bag lay a few things that she was going to donate to the raffle that would be heald later on and Iniko's bonded item since her hands were full. "Wow this island is big." she whispered to herself as she continued to look around the area. She had just arived on the island this morning and it was definatly a big difference then Cetalu. Gently she gave her Aerandir a gentle nudge, he wasn't the lightest thing to carry around and he had to see this place. He would after all be delivering messages to and from the islands when he grew up.
Iniko floated around Yakobi excitedly looking around this new island. A slight pout crossed her face as she wished that her guardian Dragonfly could be there too.

Orian chuckles, waving back to pueblo and to Kiro. "Nice to see a familiar face here. Come on, no reason to be shy. We don't bite." He streached out a little, cracking his neck.

"Yep. I made them. I figured if I was coming to the festival and hoping to take something home with me, I could at least bring something to share. Heh."
He smiled at her and picked up a vanilla one with sprinkles on it and began to eat.
"Mmm..."
