Fae smiled, collecting her nerves, then nodded a little. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I'm not really...like that," she frowned a little. Stupid first impresions. >_< She adjusted her glasses a little on her nose and watched his ears twitched. They...move?![i/] Trying to figure out how a chemistry of a cat and human could blend together, she tilted her head a little quizically. "And you're...part cat.." she murmured distantly, almost unaudiably.
Walking up to the new man, as he stood, her neck craned backwards until she decided that hurt after awhile. Looking around his feet, however, she noticed his tail riggun to walk around to it. Picking at it gingerly, her tiny, but sharp beak, wasn't trying to hurt him. She just loved..picking at tails. Mm, yes.
((sorry, hold on. My mom has to use the comp for a fewmins ><; Sorry))

Kiro nodded gently as she made the statement. It wasn't something he thought about very often, but it was true enough. "Yes," he said, again wearing his 'polite smile'. "That's right." He paused quietly, trying to force himself not to blush. "It's common where I come from," he added.
Then, he felt something small poke at his tail. Pueblo seemed to have taken the same liking to his tail that most of the Aerandir he met did. This was still somewhat novel to Kiro as, without thinking of what Fae's reaction might be, he moved his hips a little, guiding the tail away from Pueblo in a playful motion, then sweeping it back again with a smile.

Fae's blank face went from blank to slightly excited. She wanted to question him so much, but it wasn't in her right place to be putting him in the spot. "I'm sorry, Kiro," she said rather embarisdly. Boy, did she feel t he extreme uncomfortable around this boy. @_x "I've...just never seen..eh, neko, is it?" Thinking quickly, "I think they're cute," she grined, then blinked. "So, if you don't mind my asking, where doyou come from?" She seemed easy with this question, or was trying to be to keep everything..comfortable.
Pueblo's ears stood as it started to move. "Peep!" She exclaimed, then jumped at it. So...this snakey tail liked to fling away from her too. We'll just see about that! She batted at his tail and pinned it to the ground, gnawing at it a little until it would flicker away again.

Kiro, for a few moments, didn't answer Fae's question, concentrating with a smile on pulling his tail from under Pueblo's grip and trying to stroke the gryphon's head with it. He didn't have that much coordination with it, however, and ended up tapping the creature's head lightly instead.
He then looked up to Fae with a gentle smile. He nodded. "I come from a village in Japan. We don't socialise much, not many people outside the community know about us." He paused thoughtfully. "Saying that though, there's quite a lot of us." He shrugged, still smiling lightly. "We call ourselves neko-jin - cat people," he promptly translated, before glancing down to Pueblo again, wriggling his tail for the creature.

Fae smiled more maturly now. Neko-jin...she juggled the word in her mind a couple times and admired Anakiro's modesty. He really did appeal older than he is. She watched Pueblo play with his tail, her little gurgle noises itching at her to giggle. "You seem so..at peace around animals?" She spoke her observation. "Say...what's that?" She pointed towards the bottle containing artifacts. She finally noticed it but it didn't occur to her that it was his. She was thinking too hard- first time she had met him, she only knew he was studying them, not taking up ownership.
After being bobbed on the head a few times and trying to swipe at his tail vigerously, she cooed a little and pounced his tail once more. Boy was it a tease! She finally walked to his side and bent down near his foot to take a delicate nibble. Picking at it more vigerously, her hunger grew.

"Oh, the uhh-?" he turned a little to indicate Tsukai's jar, before noticing Pueblo had seemingly lost interest in his tail. He crouched a little so he was closer to her level, a said in a soft voice. "C'mon... I'm not edible y'know." Then with a smile he stood straight again and addressed Fae.
"You mean the jar? That's Tsukai..."

"Oh! So it's yours? What artifacts?" She asked, leaning over to peer into the jar. New artifacts always intriged her.
Pueblo's ears rose and flattened as Kiro "scolded" her, but it seemed it went in and out the other ear. As he lowered, she nipped at his fingers gently before she went back to his shoe. Rrr!

He smiled at her interest, finally sitting down at the table again, placing the 'data log' he still had in his hands beside the other book and the jar, and trying to ignore Pueblo's determined chewing on his shoe.
"Kangaroo Rat tail and a Sedge Wren feather," he said, somewhat proudly. He shook his head with a slight laugh. "I dread to think how small he's going to be," he added, quietly amused.
He then tilted his head to glance down at Pueblo, pulling his foot away a little, more as a playfight than actually minding. "I see the owl in her..." He paused. "I assume she's a she, anyhow. She's giving that impression." An apologetic smile accompanied by a slight twitch of an ear. "And what else? Some kind of dog...?"

"Eee, Tuskai sounds really cute," she smiled widely. "He? Yeah...you'll have to keep him away from Pueblo, I'm afraid. You see, Barn Owls diest consists of mice," she fround. "But maybe they'll end up liking each other, who knows," she nodded. "Either way, I'm sure he'll be extremly cute once he evolves into a gryphon." Looking down at Pueblo, she hissed and picked her up. "Abby! Don't chew on Anakiro's shoe, please. I think she may be hungry," she said, frowning. "And yes, Pueblo is half American grey wolf. An ancestor of the dog, but I'm sure you knew that." And yawned, then nuzzled her gryphon playfully. "We should best be off, though. She gets frisky when she's hungry, I'm afraid."
As she adjusted her bag on her shoulder, she stopped just as she started. "Oh! I'll just leave my research journal with you so you can look at it over night or whenever. You can just drop it off at my place, or I'll come find you. Best of luck with Tuskai!" She then started to walk quickly off, not even considering if he knew where she lived or not. "Hold still, Pueblo!"

Kiro smiled slightly as they made their exit - glancing at the journal Fae had left behind. He'd read it tonight, he decided, and get it back to her as quickly as possible. He wasn't sure where she lived, but he reasoned he would bump into her soon enough.
"We should probably go put this somewhere safe, huh?" he murmured to Tsukai, taking the bottle and the two books up gently and making his way back down the corridor.

Alyosha rolled over on his futon, still half asleep. He shifted comfortably back into the thick matress, skin comfortably cool in the shade. He could feel something in his hand, silky wamr. Raising his hand to his face he examinedthe object.
"p...panties?" he thought calmly for a second. After a while a grin slowly began to make its way across his face. He considered making a trip to give these back to Sy. Maybe make sure she stayed out of them. Heh.
A glint which would have seemed out of place lately had crept into his eyes. There was something of the old Alyosha emerging.

It was early morning, and as was usually true of early mornings, Kiro was already awake. He and Tsukai were getting quite a way through the book by now, being well into the mammal section. This pleased Kiro, but he thought that a brief break was in order. Taking up Tsukai's jar he pushed open his door and made his way towards the kitchen. On his way through, he noticed something that seemed out of place. A pile of books was on one of the tables, evidently with a note on top of them. Curiosity getting the better of him, Kiro went across to read it. On th paper was written, in large letters "FOR KIRO-KUN". Blinking, Kiro picked it up and turned the note over. Alyosha Not sure exactly what kind you were looking for so I left you a selection. Feel free to drop by later if you would like more, I have quite a few from when Acia was growing up. At that, Kiro grinned broadly, taking the books up under an arm before continuing to the kitchen for food. Finally, something to read to Tsukai that wasn't a textbook!

Ieyasu pushed open the door to the Community Centre, a white towel slung over his arms. He had intended on heading to the springs through the back; just to relax a bit (even with the ever energetic Osusuki around). Heading through the main circular room, he made a beeline for the back of the building.
Osusuki followed after Ieyasu, dragging the big plushie. He had really taken a liking to the toy, pulling it along everywhere with him. Well! It was big and soft and cuddly and fun to throw around! Happily, he made his way through the centre, offering a very muffled chirp.
Ieyasu held the door leading to the springs open for Osu, waiting for the little gryphon to pass through. Once the Aerandir had dragged his plushie through, he let the door go, heading over to the springs themselves. Stripping off, he set his clothes and towel down by the side before stepping into the water. Sitting down, he leaned back, the water up to his neck. It was pleasantly hot. He could sit happily like this for a while.

Syd had traveled the entire way to the island in different forms and now she was damn tired. At first she had considered a nap, but Sy was eager to get her out of the house and try to have Delta to herself, so her sister suggested the hotsprings. It had been years since she had been to one, so Syd now was walking through the center rather quickly, eager to get to the hot water and relax her muscles.
Besides, maybe she'd meet someone halfway-sane on this damned island.

Leaning his head back, Ieyasu claosed his eyes. This was the life. He could feel his muscles relaxing and unwinding. The springs were quiet, and Osu didn't sound like he was raising hell yet. So he could enjoy himself for now. Last time, his trip to the springs had turned into one hell of a mess. At least that wouldn't happen this time around.
Osu busied himself around the edge of the springs, keeping a short way back from the water. It wasn't that he hated water - he'd gone paddling in it the last time - but he had more important things to do right now. Such as tackle the plushie. He went bowling over with the toy again, flapping his wings wildly and plucking at the toy's white hair with his beak.
