Ama Gula'nadi nodded in response to his companion. Indeed, they needed to be careful in new territory. One never knew what might pop up. And in Ama's current condition, he wasn't sure he could be of much help if a hostile encounter occured. But the lure of water was just too much for the large male to ignore. He'd gone for days in the scorching hot sun, and his body was already showing the toll the heat and lack of moisture was taking upon him.

Shaking his head, letting his mane flow around his chest, Ama prodded himself forward. "Low profile, yes, but we must keep moving. Nothing's gonna help us if we stay here wondering what to do... Others may be close to the water, but there's always the hope that at least some of our clan might be there waiting on us..." It was slim hope, but hope none the less. Ama held out for someone to still be alive, not just himself and Ina'li.. Though if they were the last to remain, then so be it. He just couldn't bring himself to believe that they were all. Not yet anyway. Not until he'd proven to himself without a shadow of a doubt that his family was gone forever....

Asi arched a brow as he finally spotted amari, and began to rise in a slow grace, claws extending as he stretched. He wanted to think today, and surprisingly.. he wasn't in the mood to try and torment.

So he didn't speak, he just stared at rust-bucket for a moment, tail flicking. He glanced slowly around, deciding on which way to take his leave.

"Hey hang on a minute there." Amari spoke suddenly, turning around fully to face the other juvenile, a brow arched in questioning. "And just where do you think you're going?"

Okay so this was it, they were finally alone without the company of other lions to listen in. Perhaps now was the perfect time to try and apologise. He gritted his teeth and fell suddenly silent, glancing at the other male.

This was going to be...difficult.

Both his brows raised in response. "I do be thinkin' it was obvious.. i do be goin'way frem yew." He smirked slowly, head tilting. Why would he stick around with some one he had problems with?

His tail flicked, and strangly he just stood; not heading off just yet. He watched Amari a moment. He was thinking of how odd it was that they kept bumping into eachother. And annoying, definetly. "Yer know one might think tha' yer the one followin' me, eh?" Well, maybe just a bit of taunting.

Amari rolled his eyes, still the same old misery guts as usual, he knew he shouldn't have thought the lion would have been in any other mood. "Well thanks for being so bluntly honest." He grinned, flicking his tail leisurely.

For a moment the silence continued between them, both males seeming to gaze at one another to see who was going to make the first move. Why wasn't he just leaving like he said he was going to? Oh...he wanted to get in a few more comments before he went did he.

The rusty-coloured lion chuckled and blinked his hazel eyes, "Yeah you might be right about that." He paused a brief moment, swivvelling both ears forward. "I do so like to follow such a miserable lion, you should lighten up." Wait, that wasn't an apology!

He mentally struck himself and sighed, taking a small step towards him, "Look I..." he paused, diverting his gaze for a brief moment.

As Amari stepped foward Asikari stepped back, fur starting to stand on end. "Perhaps yew do be the miserable one and I the content; yer never know, eh? Jus' cause I ain't 'appy 'roun yew do no mean im not 'appy aroun'... eh.. others." He nodded slowly.

"Look, yer.. wha'?" Follows him around, assumes he's miserable all the time.. now he's getting tounge tied? he snorts lightly, tail curling around his hind leg.

Every sense that filled Amari's soul wanted him to growl his anger but instead he simply huffed, a more gentle way of showing his displeasure. He had forgotten just how awkward this lion could be, he wouldn't make that mistake again.

He shook the mane from his eyes and glared at the other, taking yet another step forward. "Maybe that's true, but you don't seem happy around anyone, not even my Maawio." He found it hard to believe that anyone could not enjoy her delightful company.

He lowered his head a little and sighed, "I actually just wanted to apologise." His eyes trailed to a stone that lay to the left of the other male's fore paws. "You know...for the other day...the fight and everything." His ears flattened and his nose wrinkled slightly, he couldn't believe he had just said that...but atleast it would make his girl happy.

"Wassu' doin' keep comin' closer ter me?" He hissed, stepping back again. His eyes widened a little at the apology, and he snorted, glancing away from the other male, over toward a tree.

Why would he do such a thing? He probably hadn't even started the fight.. not really. Asi knew just how much his snotty a** little self could accomplish. "Ar.. uh.. I guess I do be sorry, as well.." He trailed off, not even commenting about the Maawio comment.

Amari paused, looking a little startled as the other hissed out the words at him and took a step back to make up for what he had done. He had almost forgotten that this male didn't like being crowded.

However at the other's apology he couldn't even begin to mask the shock on his face, maw falling open and eyes widening. "Y-yah what?" He snapped his jaw shut and shook his head, "I mean...that's okay, we both acted like idiots so uh...let's forget about it."

He straightened and drew in a deep breath, exhaling slowly, "So where are you heading to anyway?"

Us'kali was jolted from her idle napping by a wafting, familiar scent. Sitting up, the old adu'ladi sniffed at the air, sure that she could pick up the distinct smell of her son, Ama...and In'ali, as well. Getting to her feet, she padded off, following her nose at a brisk pace (at least for her. xD).

Binti froze mid-chew when 'kali got up and started walking, nose raised high in the air as if to capture a scent. Wonder what got her moving... Binti thought to herself, clamboring off of Shujaa to follow closely behind the elder lioness.

Lifting his head up in surprise at his sudden release, Shujaa looked around curiously, tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth. When binti stalked after Us'kali, he got to his feet and trotted alongside, not one to be left behind.

He eyed him a moment, hoping the other did mean his words. It wouldn't be too well to lie to Asi. "Were'ver my paws lead me, eh?" He shrugged slowly, glancing around. "Som'ere I can see the sta.." He strailed off realizing what he was saying. somewhere I can see the stars good. He glared at amari, as if it was his fault.

"Where are yew headed, eh?" what an original cover up. He shifted his weight, turning so he was facing the direction he intended to go, tossing his head to get mane from his eyes, huffing at its clean sent. He needed to go roll around in some mud. Stupid baths.

He only took them maybe once a month.. Suku had to have mad that his second bath this month. He was none too happy aboutthat, and decided he'd be avoiding the older male for a while yet.

Amari tilted his head as he listened to the lion's words, what had he been about to say? He took the smallest of steps forward but halted as he caught the male's glare. Obviously he hadn't meant to say whatever it was he had started. He felt suddenly as if he was treading on dangerous ground, entering a territory filled with danger and uncertainty.

"Me? I dunno just wandering I guess." He shrugged his shoulders lightly and followed the other's line of gaze. "I had to get out of that jungle for a bit, too many of those spotty felines in there." He wrinkled his muzzle, not saying anything more about that. Those leopards had caught him quite off guard and had made him nervous about returning.

Asi grinned slowly, head tilting. He didn't really understand why things like that made others nervous. Most creatures, besides lions, didn't make him nervous at all. "Ah righ', the jungle.." He shook his head slowly. Apparently it wasn't free land any longer, he'd barely been allowed to go in with out Bahkti snapping his head off..

He shifted and begand to walk slowly, glancing back at Amari. He wasn't sure what to say. He wanted to continue conversation, some how.. even though he still was slightly uncomfortable.. but he wanted to walk as well.

He caught the lion's grin and returned it with a smirk of his own, it was strange to see the usually stern-faced lion looking happier. With a swish of his tail he moved forwards, making sure to keep a distance between them. The lion wasn't so annoying after he had relaxed a little bit.

"I'll probably steer clear of it for a while, maybe I'll go stay with Maawio, doesn't seem like there are many other females around anyways." He muttered, he missed the odd sessions of flirting with random girls. Strange that the only others he met were either older than him or male.

He trotted slowly behind the other male, eyes scanning the area for any other signs of life, boy was it empty around here. He needed life and sounds and something to keep his attention.

"So do you have a name?" He asked with a grin.

"Course I 'ave a name. It's Asikari.." He said, a little gaurdidly, but not much. He kept his gaze on where he was going. "And yers? Or shall I keep refering yew ta rust-bucket?" He snorted, he was only kidding. Well.. he sounded like he was only kidding, anyways.
