Alyosha, finally getting back to his room, found the note Foenix had left him. Burners, eh? He'd have to be sure to get them on his next trip to the mainland. Maybe he'd make a trip this weekend.
Wondering if anyone else needed anything he reminded himself to set up a list later.

Foenix wandered into the Centre, Nehanda, Nahda, and her Jivvin crew in tow. After finishing up her herbal research for the day, she had decided that she was sick of her office and in the mood for company. Packing up the papers and references she needed for her actual work, she'd hustled several of the kids out of the house. Several minutes of discussion had resulted in their coming here.
With a happy sigh, she settled into a chair and pulled out a large stack of papers. As she began to read, marking often with a red pen, Nahda and Nehanda began a game of Chase around the room, joined quickly by the two Jivvin sprites.

Sy trudged up to the centre feeling quite disgusting. Having spent the entire day working or unpacking and arranging her house, she was content with how it looked but not the toll it took on her. With hair that looked like a hurricane had swept through it, sweaty clothes, and bare feet, she dropped off the tiny little globe for Aly with hastily written note, determined he wouldn't see her in this state. Sy I hope this brings you as much luck as you have brought me. P.S.: You did say it was okay to give you gifts, right?

Pulling his door closed behind him, Kiro wandered down the corridor to the main area of the centre. Maybe it was because there were so few people around? Or maybe it was because he was anti-social... even for a geek. The fact of the matter being, he'd seen precious few people in the past few days. Since that... event... at the baths at any rate... But, he had decided, if he were to camp out in the main area for a while, someone would have to pass through sooner or later right?
With this in mind, the youth pulled up a chair at one of the small tables and deposited the book on it decisively. It was the large, thick book Alyosha had lent him to identify that fur. And... well... he hadn't asked for it back yet... So Kiro had kept a hold of it for now. Besides, there was still the fish section to read over again...

The door opened and Delta sprinted in the centre, full of energy. Jumping on a plump cushion, she peered at Syrenrei as she followed, her beady eyes gleaming. She was enjoying teasing and pestering her very tired "mother."
Syrenrei's hair was naturally white, but at the moment it was brown with random patches of stark white, as if she hadn't had time to wash out the dye yet, and her natural color was starting to show. Slightly bleary-eyed, she wandered towards the kitchen to get a drink. Her clothes were strange as well... a white shirt cut under her chest, her blue pleated skirt, the blue eye jewel, and half-washed off exaggerated make-up. Hey, she worked in the red light district- she had to fit in somehow.

With a cheerful whistle Nyxa made her way inside the centre, intending on making a swift phone call to home before heading home and cooking supper. She spotted a rather haggard looking Sy and Kiro. With a slight wave she moved further into the centre, nearly tripping over Luc as he wove past her feet to hop up on the cushion with Delta.
Spotting the pretty gal from the other day, Luc shrilly screeched at her before making himself comfortable, perching on the edge of the cushion near Delta. If he could he'd be a grinning fool, but as it was he merely churred becomingly, a charming sound.

Blinking, Kiro glanced up from the text to see - what he first didn't recognise as - Sy, walking in like the living dead. And the Aerandir, Delta? Then Nyxa also entered, looking that little bit more cheerful. And... Kiro thought hard for the name of the other Aerandir. Luc, was it?
As it was he raised a hand to Nyxa's cheerful wave with a smile of his own.

Being a bit slow on the take on account of being tired, she didn't notice anyone else there until she re-entered the common area with an ungodly huge glass of water. Blinking a moment she looked at the tables and contemplated seriously how well she could hide under one... but it was too late. At least it wasn't Aly or Ieyasu, the latter of whom would probably tease her about how she looked. Standing there looking like an escaped criminal caught in the prison's floodlights, she was frozen in place.
Delta chirped and fluffed her feathers, blinking at Luc as if she were a bashful maiden. Of course he would be charmed by her obvious beauty, but she was a little miffed at him for running off to that other Aerandir when he came to visit her. What could that fox-heron have that she didn't? Perhaps Luc had a lapse of sanity.

Nyxa raised her eyebrows at the odd-acting Sy, clearing her throat and giving a tentative smile. "Uhh.. hi." She shifted away and moved towards the direction of the couch, planting her bum on the arm of the couch and crossing her arms over her chest. "How're you guys?"
Luc snorted at Delta, neckfeathers ruffling. Ohhh yeah. Delta was a pretty gal, and he churred quietly while he stretched out his wings, displaying the pretty colored feathers. His beady black eyes watched her intently, tail lashing about in lazy circles.

Kiro watched Nyxa and Sy's antics with a little amusement, and a little confusion. "Uhh... I'm doing fine..." he murmured quietly. "And you?"
He was going to ask Sy how she was doing - but didn't think he'd get a favourable answer. And so, there went that strain of the conversation.
Quietly, as always, he let his gaze wander towards the two Aerandir. They were interesting to watch...

Sy quietly retreated to the kitchen to try to remove her make-up. Setting down her drink carefully, she started to scrub her face with her hands and water, which washed most of it off successfully, but there were still smudges of mascara and eyeliner around her eyes as she re-emerged, her skin slightly pink and wet.
Delta admired his wings for a moment and then decided it was the best time to sulk a little. Looking at him with big eyes, she then chirped quietly and tried to curl up in a little ball, which was harder to do when you had hooves instead of paws. Surely he would understand she was upset at his lack of sanity the other day. Yes, her body language was infalliable.

Nyxa wasn't sure what was going on with Syrenrei, but she shrugged to herself and fell silent, merely watching the dramatic interactions between the Aerandir. Though they were only gryphons, they seemed to be able to react and respond with amazing skill to each other, and Luc was always fun to watch.
Luc huffed and snapped his beak at nothing in particular. Eyeing the female with a droll expression, he cocked his head to the side and prodded her neck lightly with his beak. He rose to his feet and circled around her, ambling 'round in a complete circle before flopping down right in front of her.

Kiro also watched the gryphons playing, his blue eyes intent. To think, these creatures came from a piece of fur and a piece of feather.
He smiled, glancing up briefly at Sy's re-emergence, before watching the animals again and murmuring to nobody in particular. "They're pretty amazing, huh...?"

After having Delta through a hissy fit over her locking her in the house with Vidya when she left for work, she didn't think "amazing" was the adjective she would use. She was something, all right. Carefully walking over closer to Kiro, she took a few gulps of her water.
"They sure are... interesting," she commented slowly.
Delta opened her eye to watch Luc in his little prance around her. He seemed more aggrivated than apologetic. Couldn't he figure it out? Wasn't this the part where she was supposed to be comforted and preened or something. Chirping softly she tucked her head under a leg.

Nyxa nodded. "Very amazing. I love to watch Luc, he's so funny." The Aerandir in question chirped at his guardian, and Nyxa grinned. She rubbed the back of her neck and eyed Kiro and Syrenrei out of the corner of her eye, the little wheels in her head turning. She felt like she was so out of the loop as far as the social goings on around the island, and she really needed to get out more. With a mental shrug, Nyxa merely continued watching the duo.
Blasted women, so confusing. Poor Luc was completely lost and oblivious as to what was going on here. So he merely sat and stared at the peafowl mix, eyeing her unmercilessly with those black eyes of his. He curled his tail around his rump and pecked at the leg that was hiding her head.
