Kicheko was pretty bad at hide and seek. Or rather, she was bad at hiding. She didn't like being out of sight for too long and sitting still was really, really boring. She loved seeking, on the other paw. Using her eyes and ears and nose to figure out where someone was was like hunting. She had to find that elusive fish in the water, or the sneaky antelope in the plains. Thankfully, her blue sister loved to play the game.
And she was pretty horrible at it if she did say so herself.
Kicheko wasn't even aware they were playing and she located her sister easily. She was giggling and snickering quietly, as always, and she moved to the rocks to investigate. Once she saw the white tail tuft peeking from the spot, she realized Maji was waiting for someone to find her. A little grin crossed her face as she lowered herself into a pouncing position.
"Hey Maaaaajiiiii," she called out, wiggling her rear in the air. "Where aaaare yooou?"

Kicheko had to try very, very hard not to burst out laughing. Maji's tail flicked back behind the rock and out of sight, but the damage had been done. She was being so loud, though, even a deaf, blind warthog could find her! Maji was sweet, though, so Kich decided to ease up on her impending pounce to return to a neutral standing position.
"Huh...I could'a sworn I heard her," she thought out loud as she trotted to some of her other favorite hiding spots: behind the large rock where their mother would curl up against, a hole in the ground by the back of the cave, behind another small pile of rocks that was clearly far too small to hide even a cub behind. She paced around the whole cave, purposely leaving the rocks Maji was behind for last.
"Weird...one last place," she said as she bowed down again, a grin on her face. She jumped at the rocks and landed on top, perfect for spotting her sister. "Ha! There you are," she said, reaching down to swat at Maji's ear. "Found you!"

Kicheko had to laugh as her sister spoke up. Oh yeah, great hiding spot. It probably would have been a really good one if she hadn't been giggling the whole time. Deciding to keep it a little secret, Kicheko nodded as she slid down the rock and onto Maji.
"You sure did," she teased as she flopped onto her sister, making sure to be nothing but dead weight. She laughed and rolled onto the ground, pawing at Maji's legs and tail to try to get her to lay down, too. "Maybe you'll grow up to be a hunter like Dad, since you're so good at hiding."
She could see it now...all the animals running or swimming away as Maji 'sneakily' crept up on them, giggling and snickering the whole time. Hopefully there would be better hunters out there in the pride, otherwise they'd all starve. "Or maybe...some kind of spy! Spies have to hide really well, too!"
And again, her sister's cover would be blown unless she could learn how to stifle her giggles. Kicheko grinned at the though before bursting out laughing.

Kicheko ended up laughing so hard she snorted. She covered her muzzle with her paws but continued to laugh, rolling on to her back in delight. Oh, Maji didn't even realize how loud she was! It just made it even more funny in her eyes.
"You're so loud when you hide!" she finally blurted out, laughing loudly. "I knew exactly where you were 'cause you were gigglin'! Oh man...Maji you're such a bad hider," she said with a sigh, a smile still on her face as her laughter finally died down. Man...that was just way too funny.
She rolled onto her stomach again to look at her sister, teeth bared in a grin. "Maybe if you practice bein' quiet you'll be a good spy," she teased, reaching out to bat at her sister's ear. "But even a deaf zebra could hear you a mile away with all that laughin'! Maaaan you're so baaad!" She started to laugh again, this time more of a chuckle. She didn't mean to be mean, of course. She just thought it was hilarious that Maji really thought she was good at hiding.

Kicheko grinned at her sister and stuck her tongue out a bit to tease her. She knew lying was bad, but this had just been in fun! She told her, so it didn't count, right? She was answered when Maji tackled her to the ground, a little yelp of surprise leaving her mouth.
"Hey, I wasn't ready!" she said as she squirmed, trying to get the upper hand in the little tussle. Maji had pounced very well, though, and her shoulders were pinned to the ground so tightly that she knew there was no way she'd get up unless her sister got off her. She hated to lose though, and continued to struggle for a few minutes before going limp.
"Fine, fine," she muttered, her ears back. "I'm sorry I teased you. But you really are loud! You gotta be more quiet when you're hiding, otherwise you'll get found real easily. Laughin's for when you're playing with someone you can see, not when you're trying to stay hidden.'

"Yeah, win for real," Kicheko agreed with a grin. Good! As much as she found it hilarious, she did like helping her siblings out. They were still cubs, of course, so there was no harm in being bad at games. And if Maji was loud, then it would just mean that every time Kicheko had to seek, she'd win! Not a bad thing, in her book.
The long lick made her squirm and laugh again, pawing at her sister's chest to try to get her to stop. "Maji, that's grooooooss," she complained, wiping at her cheek with her paw. Once she was somewhat dry she leaned up and nipped Maji's chin lightly in response. "Love you too, Maj. Now let's play tag. You're it!"
She bumped her paw against Maji's chest before squirming out from under her and taking off, laughing the whole way. Tag you could be loud in, after all!
