Last time Amphi had attended Prom was fun, if not a little bit daunting. She had signed up for the blind date thing, meeting one the Celestial dragon Sheridan and Two, Becoming a good friend with the dragon. Though she never saw him anymore, it didn't stop her from thinking fondly of the dance.
It was the first time she had ever worn a gown as well...She fingered the deep dark blue material of last years godn and sighed. Maybe this year she could ask someone she knew instead of going with a stranger.
Her mind instantly went to Thanatos as her first person to ask. She had grown so trusting of the Reaper that he would always be the first person she would think of if she had any sort of problem or question. She wouldn't admit it either but....She trusted Thana to not lead her astray. Where as, she was just learning to be friends with False, or Roch.
Even worst was the sheer joy every time she saw him.
She was just odd about the reaper anyways. Sighing, she shoulder her sack of books and leaving her dorm room. She wanted to go to the library to return some that she had finished and maybe...go to the maul to pretend look at dresses to wear.

Thanatos had originally wanted to do what he had done for Scarentines, and just sort of show up on the day itself, and whisk her away. Sure, he had other ghoul friends, but none of them were as... Entertaining as this one. The fact that she was one of the first students he had ran into was simply - ha! - fate. However, he also knew of the... Interest that other boils had in his little mermaid, and while he didn't really mind grabbing a tub of popcorn, and enjoying the show, Biskoto had other plans.
The snake had been dropping hints for the past few days, ever since prom was announced. At first, it was simple questions like 'Did you hear about the upcoming school prom?', but it became less vague and more purposeful like 'You'll be going with a date right?', before she outright asked him yesterday 'You'll ask Amphi like a gentleman, right?' This morning, the 'questions' became more of a command wrapped in a request, 'Go ask Amphi now, okay?'
So there he was, outside the mermaid's room, a bottle with two marimo inside in one hand, although said hand was also concealed behind his back, while the other hand was raised to the door. He knocked it once, twice, and then took a step back.
Once Amphi opened the door, she would be met with his usual grin.

Amphi heard the faint knock on the door, still adjusting things in her bag and blinked. She looked around for her minipets, seeing if they knocked over anything, especially the treasure water globe with a perfectly conserved water lily in it. Breathing in, she sighed and then opened her door.
She looked at the familiar lacing of jacket worn by a certain possessive reaper who was at her certain door. She looked up at his face and frowned.
Always Grinning, Never not Grinning.
"Th...Thana!" She squeaked as she looked at the boil and then looked around, "Are you...What are you doing here?" The last time he had been hanging around her room, he had swept her up to go to the scarentines dance and that had ended up with her and....a million plushies. She had a pile of them still in her corner.

"I shall be honest, and say that I was asked by Biskoto to come," He stated, still grinning at her; his shoulder felt so light without his familiar there, but Biskoto had insisted on staying home, which was why he was alone today, "However, I should add that I came here on my own free will... On that note, may I come in?"

Amphi flushed as she thought of the snake.
"Ah...I didn't see her! I see...." She reached up to touch his bare shoulder where she usually saw her favorite Snake perched. It saddened her a little to not see the pretty familiar but she was distracted again by him.
By the Reaper.
"Oh...Yes!" She moved back to let him back, making sure that her Comet Levathia Story and her Kushi Vaith didn't simultaneously kill Thana with attention, picking up the Levathia first and smiling over at the boil. Her room was much like A room surrounded by water. Minipets swam above them while her minipets that survived on land littered her floor. As well many plushie's and loose tops. She flushed kicking them too the side and then tried to find him a seat to sit on but.....All she had was her bed.
"Um...You can...sit here?" She patted the deep blue comforter and then looked around. "Would you like something to drink...some...um tea?" She seemed to fumble as the Levathia growled in her arms. If Thana looked, there was water lily gift he gave her on her beside table.

He walked into the room, looking around, clearly impressed with the whole set-up; then again, she was a mermaid, so he imagined that having this much water was only normal. He gave the Kushi a pat on its head, and the Levathia got one as well, as he walked past Amphi to get to the bed, sitting down on the edge.
"Tea would be nice, thank you," He replied, turning to look at the water globe containing the water lily on the bedside table, something he had noticed just seconds after he sat down, "I see you've taken care of it well..." He paused, revealing the bottle he had been hiding from her sight, putting it down on his lap, one hand supporting it, and stopping it from toppling over.

She flushed again before looking around.
"Tea...Uh...Yes." She set down her levathia who proceeded to growl at the pat from Thana, her Kushi though seemed excited, cheeks sparking with enthusiam as it took up a seat next to the Reaper. Expecting more pets. "Let me just...." She scooped more tops and such from her floor and shoved them somewhere not where Thana could see and disappeared in some kinda of tank.
She returned momentarily with a small jug of Booberry tea, a gift from Xiu and two glasses. Setting the jug on the table, she poured Thana a glass and then one for herself.
"Here you go Thana...." She blushed as she set it near him. It seemed his hands were preoccupied with a bottle of sorts. She blinked as she looked over to the well preserved flower and flushed. "Ah yes! It was a gift from Thana after all." She touched it before pointing at the bottle. "What's that? Is that a plant? Is it in some special water?" She bent down to look at it closely. "Oh....Sorry! Did you need too see me too? I mean...No your seeing me. Did you need me? No wait...Um...I...not like that...Were...you here...for something special?" She just covered her heated face with her hands.

And so, the Kushi received more pets as he waited for Amphi to be done, taking time to look around the room, as well as into the aquarium that surrounded them; it was actually rather nice to see minipets swim around like that. Much more satisfying than seeing them swim around in a small tank.
"Thank you," He could smell the faint smell of booberries from where he was seated, so no doubt the tea would be delicious. He chuckled, flashing her a grin, "I'm pleased to see that you held my gift in such high regard... And no, this is not special water, but it does indeed hold a plant. A type of seaweed by the name of marimo," He held up the bottle, showing two little balls of green inside; as he tilted the bottle slightly, they begun to roll in that direction, "They grow very slowly, but if you take care of them well, they'll grow to be too big for this bottle... They're so easy to care for. All you need to do is to change half the water in this bottle once every 2 weeks, and make sure it is receiving light."
He chuckled, holding it out to her, "Now, stop hiding behind your hands, and hold this, my little mermaid, and I'll tell you the purpose of this visit."

Apparently the Kushi really enjoyed the attention that it got from Thana because its cheeks sparked even MORE. Like....to the point of shooting off the little things body! Amphi recognized the signs that the little thing was going to spark off in excitement, shoving it off the bed where it went to rub the Comet Levathia and thus....caused a small commotion that way that would distract the two needy minipets.
"Your welcome." She inclined her head, still eyeing the bottle. Her eyes flicked up to his when he described it, making an "o" shape with her mouth as she reached out to touch it. "I...I see! A living plant! And a sewaeed none the less!" She ran her hand down the bottle and smiled, it was like he was giving her a piece of her home that would last. "Thank you for such a wonderful gift Thanatos. I will take good care of it...." She took it, sitting next to him and touching the bottle with wide eyes. Another gift! And this one was really special! She would do her best to keep it living.
*A*!!!
"Ah..." She flushed as she hid behind the bottle now and smiled shyly at him. the joy from the gift had distracted her from her fumbling play with words earlier but..."Oh! Yes. I never see Thana here so it was a shock. What was it you wanted....?" She cocked her head at him, blue eyes watching his amber ones with a innocent but curious expression.

"I am sure you will," He laughed, glancing briefly at the water lily by the side of the bed, before his attention went back to the ghoul.
"Should I be insulted that you think I needed a reason to be here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, the grin on his face betraying his emotions; he was far from feeling insulted. In fact, he was rather amused, because she pretty much hit the nail on the head, "Since you asked me so directly, I will return the favor... If you do not have a date to the upcoming prom yet, I would like for you to go with me. That is the purpose of today's visit."
There was no question mark at the end of that sentence because it was clearly not a question. It was a request, one she was free to decline if she wanted to.

She smiled as she hugged the jar before setting it down next to the waterlily, making sure to scold the minipets in case they decided that was okay to tip the bottle over...or worst, break into it.
"I don't think so...." She blinked at him, "Should you be insulted because you think you need a reason to be here?" She repeated, cocking her head at him and then sat back on the bed, watching him carefully.
"Ah...." She flushed at his request. Like...fullbody blush ON. "I...um...." She stared at him, thinking of the event that she went to last year, surprised that he had requested HER company. It was a event that was reserved mostly for...couples of sort. In fact, she had gone with a...blind date....
She just stared blankly at him though and dumbly said....
"What?"
and then flailed her hands. "No...I mean...no that's not what I meant. I meant Yes. Yes to going...Yes to going with you to Prom I mean..." She hid her face in her hands again. Oh jack...Oh jack indeed.
"Are you sure you wanna take with me....Thana?"

"It's settled then... I shall pick you up half an hour before prom," He chuckled at her reaction, now so used to the nickname that she had given to him that it seemed almost natural to reply when addressed as such, "Yes, I am pretty sure. You're my little mermaid, after all." He grinned, pouring her, and then himself, some tea.
"Unless you've changed your mind already."

"I....What?" She seemed a little more flustered then usual, her face turning even stranger colors of red. She was torn by excitement because Prom! Yay Prom! but then she was like....hesitant because it was Thana and he usually didn't do things like this but....
Was there a secret plot behind this? >:'|
"Umm....your...Little..Mermaid?" She just stared a little shocked. No matter that he had claimed her not even a couple weeks ago. Like....it shouldn't be a big deal every time she heard it but something in her....warmed and made her feel....odd.
Those damn tingly feelings he had talked about when he was demonstrating flirting return and she could swear her stomach was filled with a thousand butterflies.
She took her cup of tea, hesitantly drinking it and still watching the reaper with a awkward nervous look, her eyes searching his never changing grin. She was lookign for some sort of sign that he felt even a semblence of butterflies SHE felt.
"No!" She jumped up, squeaking a little loudly as her tea sloshed a little out of its glass. "I mean no, I haven't changed my min! Sorry!" She looked at him and leaned over to touch his cheek gently. "It really would be...my honor to be your escort for the night Thana." She gave him a small shy smile, "Because...I am Thana's after all." She nodded. Okay...that was settled....right? "This is what it means to be yours yes? Sometimes Escorting you places?"

"Indeed," He laughed, taking her hand and removing it from his cheek, smirking lightly, "It also means that if someone else tries to ask you, you should say that you already have a date with someone for Prom." He kissed her on his knuckles, and then let go, picking up his cup of tea and taking a small sip, the fragrance of booberries immediately filling his nose.
"Have you been well recently?" He asked conversationally, seeing how he had yet to finish his tea, and it would be rude to leave right now, "I heard there is another field trip coming up."

She flushed at the kiss on her hand, drawing her hand away to rest at her side and studied him still. His expression still only changed slightly. She was so keen on watching him that she almost missed what he said, nodding in agreement no matter what it was.
"What?" She blinked then shook her head, laughing nervously. "That's silly. No one will ask." She didn't know anyone enough for them to ask her to be her date. Though there was Lizzy or Xiu or Danny or Roch or False but....those were her friends. And her Friends were probably going with other people yes. "But if someone does. I will tell them Thana is taking me!" She seemed happy to be able to say at least for once that THANA was taking her....That for Prom Thana was hers as well. She frowned as that thought ran through her head. "That means....That means you can tell people you have a date as well." She didn't know if anyone had a interest in Thana in any sorts but....For Prom, they could wait.
"Hmmm?" She blinked up at him at the change before flushing. Thinking of things that had happened while she hadn't seen them. "I have! My sisters send me well wishes as I am close to graduating again. And I have made two new friends!" Amphi eyes actually lighted with the mention of the two friends. "One is a reaper who can sing and play a instrument really well! Although he says he can't be friends with me but...I am persistent because he is a good person and...I want good friends." She nodded, "but then, His best friend is Danny, the fire demon. She's a lot like me but...." Amphi tried really hard to think of a really nice word. "She's like a sheep! She gets distracted really easy and stuff." Amphi frowned at the mention of a field trip.
"Ah....another...one...so soon?" She laced her hands together, "I didn't hear about it...I wonder where they will ship us off to face our deaths again." She didn't mean for it to seem bitter but....since the attack on horsemen. She wondered and distrusted Amityville just as much as she did the horsemen or the humans. "How have you been Thana? Has anything exciting happened for you?"
