Quote:
In a village in the middle of an eerie forest, you need shelter. There are many empty houses speckled across a central village, each with its own customizable features. The houses are always made of wood and field stone. They lack all modern commodities, however there is crude indoor plumbing. There are thick glass windows, misty and difficult to see through, and thick wooden doors that are heavy and difficult to move--however all of them have barricades on the inside to keep intruders out. Most houses have several rooms and some even have multiple floors, but there is something aged and almost crumbling about each of them. They are safer than nothing, but they are cold and uninviting. You need to claim one of these homes for yourself, but with so many unknowns, it's probably best to find a group to stick with and have your back. Do you try to take on this oddity in a house, alone? Or do you manage to find people to get along with and share a house with?

Chambersite had only heard about the strange things that happened within Destiny City during October. None of it had been of any concern to him. He was a part of the Negaverse, an Agent, and now a Captain. While he knew that he wasn't invincible, he didn't feel like he needed to be concerned with any weird events that may happen within the city. He could hold his own, and they were most likely created by Chaos in the first place. Why should he fear that which he could control?

It was why when the fog had started to roll in he had thought nothing of it. He was in the middle of hunting for energy and had found the perfect couple to drain it from. It was only when he was planning how he was going to attack that suddenly everything changed. His vision went black, and then when he felt like he could wake up, he could only slowly blink and lift himself from the ground and check the surrounding area.

It was as though he had been drugged and while he didn't feel sleepy, he still felt like he was needing to wake up. And there seemed to be some sort of gray, cloudy sky above him, something which certainly wasn't there before. When he could finally sit up and look around, he definitely knew he was no longer in Destiny City.

He cursed silently to himself before he stood up and dusted himself off a bit, trying to get a feel for the area. It was then that he could tell that he wasn't the only one there, nor was he the only powered one. There were more. He didn't know how many, but they were there, and clearly they were intermingling as well.

This time, he really couldn't help himself. "The hell is this place?!" He tried muttering to himself, though he said it loudly enough so that if anyone were to be near him they could hear it. He could tell there was something wrong about this place, that Order or Chaos had no control over. Just what was it?

Pasithee had been patrolling for a couple of hours when the eerie inky fog fog rolled in. She knew the moment she saw it that there was something strange, something weird, something wrong about it, and it wasOctober. She turned on her heel and ran, screaming to those around her. "Run!" But the fog overtook her, but more so than that. It took her mind, her stomach, her body. "UGH!" She cried out sick to her stomach, as the fog dumped her on her butt in a weird place. Near by, a guy with a Nega aura muttered "What is this place?" Only he didn't say it so nicely. A few minutes ago, Pasithee and he might have been enemies. Now they were in the same mess.

Chambersite looked around and noticed a Senshi near him and he couldn't help but roll his eyes. Ugh. Great, now we're all stuck here together. He thought to himself. He certainly didn't have any hatred of Senshi, except for that one Senshi, at least not in General. But they were the enemy and they were not to be gotten along with.

There were dilapidated buildings, around and what seemed to be a completely empty town. Something had happened here, and he doubted it had been a good thing. "Looks like we have to stay in those for now..." He muttered to himself. He turned around to the Senshi again. He would have said something about fighting her, or perhaps just going on the attack, but he had no idea what was going on here. Better to be friendly. Perhaps she could be of some use to him? He addressed the Senshi. "Looks like we're stuck here together." He smiled at her. "Might as well work together right to get out of... wherever this is."

Pasithee looked around at the crumbling village and then nodded. "Any other circumstances, I'd disagree, but for now I guess you are right." She stood, stretched and dusted herself off. Then she reached out a hand to help him up. "To start with, I'm Pasithee, and my Sphere is The Blue Lotus. It's obvious from your uniform and weapon, you're no Lieutenant, but you're no General either. I'd say you're a Captain. Is there something I can call you while we are here?"

Well, this is going to be easier than I thought. Chambersite mused as he looked at the Senshi's hand, then back to her and smiled. "Chambersite, and you're right I am a Captain." He wondered if he would be able to summon his weapon here. Not to stab her or anything there would be no point in that, but if he needed to attack something, having his weapon with him would be useful. At least she was somewhat smart though, smarter than that other Senshi.

It would be of no use to ask what her powers did. There was no need to now and if he really needed to figure it out, the best way would be when they were finally back home and out of this place.

"We should probably check the area around here, I haven't been able to explore all that much." It had been how many minutes since he had woken up? "This place feels isolated though." Like some sort of horror survival game. "Which means we may only be able to explore this general area..."

Pasithee nodded. "I agree. Looks like there is a couple of houses over there. We could use one for shelter." Thinking a little more, she said, "It might be prudent to have one with two floors (that's stable of course), in case anything tries to come in at night - it would at least give us more time to to be ready to fight or ... run as the case may be. I would not suggest any more floors, as the houses do not look to be in that great condition - a third or fourth floor may collapse. But I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter." Pasithee started walking that way as she narrowed her eyes at him, trying to decide if she had seen him before.

"... Right." Chambersite did not like the Senshi taking charge of such a situation and had to keep himself from interrupting her. It just reminded him that he was still a Captain, many others held the same rank as he did, and there were many Senshi who did as well. At this point they were equal in terms of skill level most likely, with him having the advantage of teleporting. But that required energy, and while he would have been okay with draining their Order "companions" here, he still didn't know how this world would react to it. Even if reading wasn't a hobby, he had read enough books that something as small as that could cause a lot of trouble.

"I agree. Though we might be able to fix up any buildings that need repair. I doubt we're the only ones here, and we would need as many buildings as we can get. In other circumstances I would say that we could shove as many people as we can into one building, but something appears to have caused this town to be abandoned, and I doubt clumping together would do that much good."

As much Pasithee didn't like it, the Chaos guy made a lot of sense. And though she was hating herself for it, they were seeming in charge of this situation. "You have a point there. I also see the need to gather food or what passes for food here. Well that is... Do we need food in this form? I've never actually eaten powered up? But I'm sure there are Humans here. They will need food."

He shrugged. "I would assume so." He hadn't ever stayed powered up long enough to find out, but he had seen others eating before and he doubted that they ate just because they wanted to stuff themselves silly. "Yeah well, you can go and help them. I'll be doing something like fixing up one of those houses or whatever." They looked "livable" but as though something had come up and damaged them a bit. And he really did not care about helping any regular humans. Honestly, they would probably make better meat shields than anything at this point.

And he was also tired of having to put up a persona with a Senshi. He realized as he had walked around the forest a bit that they never seemed to get anywhere, which meant they were stuck. And who knew how long the food supply would last. He'd rather not have it wasted on those who wouldn't even be able to take one hit from a Senshi let alone a Captain or a Super.

Sorry I've been awol!
Pasithee read the look on Chambersite's face carefully, then said quietly, "They may look weak to you, but who knows what strengths they hide. Also think about this; just as we are stuck powered up, some of our powered associates, may be here stuck powered down." She paused and an odd look came on her face. "What if one of those weaklings is your boss?" She turned and walked away leaving him to think about that tidbit.

With he last comment she couldn't help but laugh until he was buckled over, and when he was recovered was still chuckling as he wiped a tear out of his eye. "Boss, yeah... having a boss. Guess you don't know, but some of us Captains don't have any Bosses's besides the biggest ones, and their information is already known to us." He wouldn't say that it was in their database, at least what he could find. No use in telling the Senshi how they got their information.

"Old boss though? Just up and disappeared. Maybe she was taken by a youma or something." He said, no care in his voice about the potentially dead General whatsoever. She had done him the favor of turning him when she had asked, but that was about the extent of their interactions.

"Maybe it's different for your kind, but the higher-ups know the risk of being caught as a civilian in a situation such as this. And they would know not everyone knows who they are. Getting caught in the crossfire without expecting is well, to be expected." He shook his head, following her and getting closer to her ear half whispered half said, "And if any of your type are powered down Civilians, that just makes them easier targets, you know?" He moved away from her then, a smirk on his face. "You have to remember that other than the draining energy and using chaos, we're pretty much the same."

However, he realized that this conversation wasn't going to get anywhere anytime soon and that the best course of action was to split off at this point and find anyone who was still powered up that he could make a plan with.

"I think it's best we go our separate ways though. I doubt we're going to get much done together."
