Nix, as always, was happy to have someone want to meet up to train and stuff. And a knight this time! He wondered, idly, why it was they always used text over calling, but then he supposed so did he.

For this one, he’d picked out a nice tall building…those were always nice and dramatic to stand on the edge of, living perilously on the edge. (Well, not too perilously. He felt supremely confident that he wouldn’t get hurt if he did somehow fall—he could catch himself, at least.)

“Appointments” wasn’t really a term he’d ever thought to use, so when his training partner for the evening used it, he blinked in surprise a couple times before grinning and nodding. “Yup! I’m Nix,” he agreed, and bounced on the balls of his feet a little. His tendency to be very enthusiastic did nothing to make him seem any older than he was…which is to say, not the most seasoned age to be teaching people anything. Didn’t bother him, though.

“And you’re,” he pauses, thinking, and says carefully, “Alhambra, right?” he claps once and says, “Great! So, uh…what’re you good at? And what do ya wanna get better at? Kinda forgot to ask that before…”

"Oh, the navy?" Nix responded with a bit of amazement in his tone. "That's cool! Were you like, a Navy Seal or something?" He struck a bit of a movie fighting pose briefly. "Now that'd be cool...I just know some super basic karate and stuff. But fighting monsters and things isn't all about that, is it?"

He considered briefly. "Knights don't have magic powers, right? You're just extra strong and stuff? So you probably know more about fighting than I could teach you...but practicing with super-powered people is always helpful, right?" He grinned. "A lot less likely to accidentally rip my arm off or somethin'!"

Bit of an odd thing to declare, for sure, but he reckoned that he could take a hostile out for his blood page in a fight, so it wasn't wrong!
