 He was wide awake watching the day fade into night. He had just woken up after sleeping all day and he felt refreshed ready for the long night ahead of him. He knew that someday he would find his Umbra in the shadows..someday he would happen upon her again and everything would go back to normal. Till the day he found her though he had sworn to search the night no matter what it took. He smiled up at the sky the sun setting an orange glow on everything around him. He wondered if he would find her..or if he might find anyone else time would only tell the answers

She laid on the grass finally waking up after a short nap. There was absolutely nothing on her mind as she watched the sunset, contently, her blade at her side. It didn't bother her much that she was always alone. She was a rather independent Mare, even when she was just a filly. She still longed for her companion though. Someone to be with her. Or there for her when she needed comfort. She stood up and stretched her neck out, walking through the tall grass to find a river to drink from. It had been a rather long day,she needed the work, but couldn't concentrate well at all. Goodness me. Why do I have this feeling that there's something missing here? Lyrica Sighed to herself and kept on her way cutting through the tall grass and weeds

He set foot on the path he knew only to well. He traveled this way every night wandering to the waterfall and the river where he spent his time watching the sun set and the moon rise. He slowed down when he made out a figure ahead and smiled to himself wondering if it could be umbra but letting his smile fall he saw it was a mare but none that he knew. He took a few steps closer to her and snapped a large twig to alert her of his pressecne "Hello mare..One should not be wandering around at this time of day.." He faltered when he noticed the mare happened to be carrying a large sword and he stared at it for a moment before blinking never taking his eyes off it "As i was saying..A mare should not be wandering when dusk is about to fall..Even one as well prepared as you" his eyes falling back on the sword she looked off to him..He had never seen any creature with clothes on there back

She wandered a bit further though the grass before reaching a river that she could drink from. As She bent down to take a drink, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. Not sure what to take of it, she stayed on the edge of her hooves. Looking up, when the large stick was broken she averted her attention to the stallion that stood in her presence and bowed her head slightly. Heading his words she shrugged to herself and looked away. " I was just. Using the last bit of sunlight to search for something I lost." He hesitated slightly and followed the large stallions gaze. " Besides. I see no problem with me being a mare wandering at night. That's why I have my cutlass with me." She snorted and pawed at the ground, nibbling on some grass in an impairment manner. It wasn't that fact that She was talking with another of her kind. It was the fact that The stallion was taking up her precious daylight. Which she didn't have much of left. The tan Mare huffed once more and lifted her head, putting on a charming smile for the one before her. Hopefully he would understand her hurry.

He observed the mare closely still watching her light footsteps those of one who knew how to fight. He let his eyes wander up and down her searching for anything that might give him insight into her strange looks but raw talent. His ears perked when he heard her speak and he nodded at her "May i assist you in any way? What have you lost?" he bows to her "My name is Kamau.." his eyes wander to her sword "Yes..but can you use it? Do you know how to wield its power to your advantage?" he eyes her now staring into her eyes watching her. "I hope you have the time to stay and talk. It would be nice to know another who is like myself in a way" he nods again eyes drifting to the sun as it was quickly fading smiling back at the mare who had just thrown one at him "There are many creatures in the night how do i know you wont fall victim to them?" he laughs slightly smiling again holding out a pawed hoof shaking his mane out "My offer still stands..I to have things i am searching for"

Lyrica smirked slightly and nodded. The Stallion had passed her inspection. It wasn't every day that she say a stallion. Dressed up for some kind of event. Appearance didn't bother her much though. It was more surprising to her that someone had offered to her her on her way. She wouldn't mind it, at all, so she gave him a chance. " if you please, you may come along with me. And the only things I've lost was a very dear friend, and a small portion of my mind from walking all day. She raised a brow as he bowed again to introduce himself. But since it was the polite thing to do, she figured that she would take suit and follow his lead, bowing her head slightly as well. " And I am Lyrica. It's a pleasure to meat you~" She smiled and followed his gaze right back to her blade and sighed. " of course I do. I've been using this since I was a small filly. I'm not an amateur. She stared back into his eyes. " on the bright side, I do have time to talk. i'm not gettin' any younger~ and there is always tomorrow~ She chuckled and watched him smile. it was Odd... she was in the middle of no where practically and a random stallion had appeared to accompany her. could things go any more into her favor? " I too realize there are many possible things that could harm me. And being a mare doesn't help, but i'm not helpless anymore. She laughed quietly along with him,watching his hoof. " then it's settled. We'll search together for them~ he replied happily smiling at the stallion.
