  NyxQueen of Darkness Gunkan was lounging in the clear blue water, near the bottom. Shutting his eyes, he was enjoying the very diluted rays of light that reached him. Munching on some seaweed, he relaxed while letting it tangle into his hair and around him. It was just easier to eat this way, to be amongst the seaweed. CheshireKttty Nori pranced along the beach enjoying the afternoon sunlight. For him, there was nothing better than a nice day at the beach, and today certainly wasn't any different. The stallion happily hummed to himself as he approached the blue salty waters. It seemed that he had run out of seaweed at home and was in need of some more. Besides, his brother only seemed to be bothered by the wet slimy stuff. Carefully, the stallion bent to pick up a mouthful of the stuff when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. Was that another stallion? And was he caught?
As Nori came closer to the stallion he could see that he was indeed caught, and handsome. The little kelpie cross flushed a little at that thought and then made his (un)graceful way over to the stranger.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan was enjoying munching, when he saw a shadow forming over him. Glancing up, he glanced to make sure it wasn't a mer or something trying to get him. He looked over at the newcomer, not quite sure what to say. CheshireKttty Quickly, Nori began to try to untangle the stallion but it seemed that he wasn't making any progress at all. The more he tried to untangle this stranger, the more he himself became entangled instead. Well now, this wouldn't do at all. He was supposed to be the rescuer! Not the rescuee. Frantically, Nori tried to eat his way through the seaweed, hoping that he could salvage his rescue.

Gunkan could see the other stallion much more clearly now. The splash of red hair was bright...beautiful. He was a beautiful brown--Gunkan shook his head. What was he thinking at a time like this. Pulling himself out of the weeds, he mouthed to the other stallion. "Are you stuck?"

CheshireKttty The little stallion sighed inwardly. It was no use, he was just simply stuck. Why was it always like this? It seemed that every time he wanted to try and be brave and rescue someone he simply became the one in need of being rescued. Irritating as it was, at least he had caught the other stallion's attention. It could be worse.
Nori nodded to the stallion and then continued to try to eat his way through the seaweed to no avail. Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan tilted his head, and couldn't help but smile. Apparently, he had thought he was stuck (which had never been the case). Walking back to him, he gently nipped at the seaweed. The loosened strands floated up, helping to get him more untangled. It was still in his long, luxurious hair but at least he wouldn't be trapped anymore.

CheshireKttty Nori nodded his thanks to the handsome stallion and made his way to the surface. He might be part kelpie, but he'd never been very good at holding his breath in the water. Nori kept his head above water for a few moments, allowing his body to be rocked back and forth by the gentle waves of the sea as he waited for stranger. Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan followed the other stallion to the surface. As he broke through, he tossed back his blue hair so that it was out of his eyes. He looked at the other stallion, a little concerned. He seemed a bit out of breath still. "Are you, okay?" His voice was deep but soft

CheshireKttty The little stallion slowly nodded as he continued to catch his breath. He was definitely going to need to work on this whole water thing. It was rather pathetic of him to be so out of breath so quickly. Especially considering his Kelpie blood. He felt his cheeks become hot at that thought. How silly he must seem to this Kelpie stranger. He bet the stallion could stay for hours underwater. Well, he would just simply have to work up to that. "I'll be fine." He told the Kelpie. "Just needed a minute." Nyx Queen of Darkness "Oh, well. I'm glad you're okay," Gunkan answered in the same soft tone. Gently he reached over, and tugged a piece of seaweed out of the other stallions hair, not thinking about how intimate that would probably seem till after. Blushing, he cleared his throat. "Sorry, I...erm...didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

CheshireKttty The red stallion could feel his cheeks begin to flush as the stranger pulled the seaweed from his hair. He stood in silence for a moment until it became far too awkward to stand. "I'm Nori." He said cheerfully. "I suppose I probably should have introduced myself a bit earlier but, well I guess I hadn't had the chance." Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan smiled at him, still a bit red in the face. "I'm Gunkan. Nori is a lovely name." He coughed, realizing he wasn't sounding very...macho. He was a bit insecure, it had been awhile since he had flirted with anyone really, and a long time since that had went well. Ducking his head slightly, he tried to clear his throat again. "Sorry, I'm just...I never know what to say when I meet new friends or...you know, whatever." CheshireKttty Nori flushed even more as Gunkan spoke. He hoped he hadn't offended the stallion at all, that had not been his intentions at all, but he seemed to be ok. The stallion sighed inwardly. Why did all social conversations have to be so... difficult? Nori would be the first to admit that he was odd and that he could not handle himself in social situations to save his life. Here's hoping he didn't screw this one up too. "Nice to meet you." He said happily. Nyx Queen Of Darkness Gunkan laughed, "I think we've established it's good," he leaned over and gently tugged another seaweed out of Nori's hair. For a moment, he considered spitting it out, then he just chewed it up and swallowed it. "Sorry, you had another piece." Gently, he steered the path to a different conversation. "So are you from here? Got a pretty little....mare waiting back home? Family?" cheshirekttty The little stallion couldn't help but snort at Gunkan's words. A mare? Waiting for him? Just the thought of it almost wanted to make him gag. "Nope no mares." He said, trying to contain his amusement without insulting the other stallion. "I don't live too far from here either and I do live near my family though i can't live with them. They're not the type I can handle on a day to day basis." He said grinning.

Nyx Queen of Darkness "Oh, no mares." Gunkan's ears perked up a bit, "Anyone else then?" He asked with a little bit too much curiosity. "I don't know where my family are, not really. So I don't see them really. Maybe one day though." CheshireKttty No family? Nori couldn't quite imagine what that would be like. Sure his family was a bit... off and perhaps they didn't get along very well at times, but they were still his family and he still loved them. "No, no one else." He told the stallion quietly, still deep in thought. Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan nodded, "Me either. I mean. Can't seem to find the right stallion." He sighed, "Did I upset you? Did I say something, you don't seem to like what I said?" CheshireKttty Nori felt his heart skip a beat as Gunkan said he couldn't find the right stallion. I mean, sure he'd been admiring him, and even subconsciously been hoping he was single and looking for the right guy, but, well, how often did that actually happen? "Me either." Nori said, clarifying that they were on the same 'team'. "And it's nothing that you said really, it's just that, well, I couldn't really imagine not knowing my family. I mean sure they bother me often enough, but I know I would miss them."

Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan blushed crimson, Nori had just made him blush furiously. It was one thing to know that you were attracted to someone and another to know they were actually available. "Yeah, It's rough. But you make it on your own just fine after awhile. That's why I want a big family, really big. I want to always be there for them." cheshirekttty Nori admired Gunkan's dream. A big family? It sounded rather nice, it sounded like a life that he could imagine himself in. "That sounds nice." He told the stallion sincerely. "My family is rather small and sometimes I wish we were closer." Nyx Queen of Darkness Cool. He hadn't said anything about the big family, that was a good sign. "Well, what happened?" His voice was soft. "Did ya'll drift apart? Were you ever close?" cheshirekttty "Aww nah it's nothing like that." Nori told Gunkan. "It's just that we've all grown up and have our own things that we do. Sometimes it can be hard to find our way home and get a little family time. We're still fairly close though. I guess I'm just wishing we were a bit more involved with each other you know?"

Nyx Queen of Darkness "Any family is good family. I"m glad you have family. It woud seem nice to have someone there." He shook more water out his hair, "Do you want to go somewhere more...dry?" cheshirekttty Nori nodded in response to Gunkan's question. Sure he loved the beach, and he loved water. But the ocean breeze had a chill to it that made it very uncomfortable to be standing around wet in it. "That sounds like a good idea. There should be some grass just a little past the beach, maybe we could grab a bite to eat too?" He offered. Nyx Queen of Darkness "That sounds great." Kind of like, a little date...without you know being a date. Or maybe it was a date? His eyes widened just a little bit as he was walking. "It's been a long time since I had a friend to chill with. We are friends right?" CheshireKttty Nori grinned at the stallion. "Of course!" He told the other stallion. "It's always good to have as many friends as you can gather." The little stallion continued on. "Here, follow me." He motioned for Gunkan to follow him and pranced his way up the beach and towards the grass.

Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan followed after, ambling along. He was enjoying the walk and, the view to be honest. He gave a little self-conscious cough. Catching, up he could still feel a little chill coming off the water, but it was pleasant. Seeing the grass, he eased on over and took a bite. "This is delicious." CheshireKttty He was glad to know that Gunkan liked it as much as he did. Perhaps they both just shared the same love of the sea? It seemed that they both loved seaweed, although he doubted that anyone could love seaweed anymore then he could. "I've just known people to not like it that's all. Then again i don't think they've been fond of seaweed either." He paused a moment before continuing on. "You know, it's really nice to have someone to talk to Gun." He could feel his cheeks flush as he accidentally dropped the nickname.

Gun felt his face blush crimson as he edge over to Nori. Gently, very gently. He rubbed his muzzle against Nori’s. “Maybe….we can talk forever.” It seemed so cliché sounding, but when you felt something, shouldn’t you speak it? Was it really a good idea to keep it in? He had felt some instant connection with Nori, on some deep level. At first, he thought that he had, well imagined it. But the more he talked to Nori, the more he realized that it wasn’t just a random feeling. It was real as the sun, as the sea. “I think…” He didn’t know what else to say, so he just looked into Nori’s eyes. “Maybe it’s too sudden, too weird. But maybe, when I look into your eyes. I see that you understand what I mean. And you feel the same way to?”

Nori stood quietly for a moment while he listened to the other stallion. So it wasn't just him then? Gun had, no, did feel something for him? The little stallion could feel his heart flutter with happiness. He wasn't sure what it was about the Kelpie that made him so giddy, but he knew he had found someone he could spend time with, enjoy life with, just be with. Nori took a step forward then and carefully nuzzled Gunkan's neck, letting the other stallion know just how he felt without any words.

Gun bowed his head as he rubbed his face into Nori. He could really get use to this. He could feel his skin tingling, burning with some new sensation. He sighed as he leaned close. He wanted to say something, but there was nothing to be said to describe this.

cheshirekttty The kelpie sighed as Gunkan returned the embrace. He knew it was sudden, that perhaps the feeling might last, but it just felt so right. He felt as if he could spend an eternity with Gunkan and feel as if only a moment had passed. Perhaps they were moving too fast, but he didn't care. Nori had never been in love before, had never even really believed in love at first sight, not until now. From the moment he had first heard that stallion's voice, it was as if he had found his other half, the other part of him that just belonged there, that filled the empty spaces in his heart and sould. Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan shut his eyes, could it really be this easy? How could things just fall together like this? How could a lifetime of happiness begin in one second? He stood there his eyes down, "You feel it to?" His voice was low, as he nustled his face against the other stallion. cheshirekttty Nori broke the embrace and nodded. "Yes." He hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. "I've never felt anything like it before, but I know that what I am feeling is real and that I never want to stop feeling it. Whatever it is." He continued on as he looked deep into the stallion's eyes. Nyx Queen of Darkness Gunkan couldln't help the smile creep across his face. This was not his imagaination. It was real. "Me too." His voice was soft, as he felt his heart accelerating in his chest. "I never thought I'd get a chance to feel this way, let alone so soon."
