Well. This was it. He stood with multiple packs on his shoulder. All ragged looking bags that seemed to glisten slightly as if treated by something special. He looked left and right, up and down before letting out a long groan.
"No one bothered to tell me where the dorms where!" He shifted moving the largest square pack on his back, two round ones slung over each shoulder, a third piled on top the middle one and Sharpie carrying a small bag of his own tied to his back.
"Maybe we can ask someone?" The cat was now sitting lazily cleaning it's paws while False bared most of the load and hard work.
"Cute cat, really, I don't know if you noticed but the school just got back from the Giftmas break, if you missed the paper I threw at you yesterday yo would have read this place was attacked too... everyone's either inside, in class, or fixing what was broken I hear..."
Sharpie paused in his grooming, "And that leaves us with no one to help us."
"Exactly my point you fuzzy little dolt...."

She hadn't gone out much since the whole ordeal at the Maul and with very good reason. It wasn't until today that she finally gathered the courage, got her little basket she dragged around for errand running and finally stepped foot out of her dorm with a cautious air. The ghoul now tended to go from one point straight to the other, the Engraver no longer lingered here and there nor did she spend much time observing others as she once did, she also seemed to avoid anyone that seemed to have any sort of air of authority like the plague if they weren't staff at the school that she knew well enough to trust.
The list of staff she knew or trusted was obviously a bit short.
Thus as she ran errands and came wandering back to the campus she had noted two things. One? She recognized the familiar right off the bat due to the ink it was made of and exuded. Two? The non-familiar form had a bunch of bags and seemed to be standing around. The ghoul tilted her head and wandered up to them, "Excuse me but may I be of assistance to you?"

"Lattice!" The familiar was first to act, Sharpie was scampering towards her before False could even confirm who it was that was offering help. Without missing a beat the small cat and his bundle on his back where weaving in between Lattice's legs nuzzling and bumping his head to purr away at her.
Eventually False would stumble around to blink curiously at the polite ghoul who he had met earlier at the maul, "H-hey I remember you." He shrugged his shoulders a bit adjusting the packs on them as he offered a small smile. "Help would be the best. No one told us where the Reaper dorms where and I've kinda been just wandering in circles it seems..."
"He has a horrible sense of direction. Just dreadful," Sharpie chimed in before sitting beside Lattice with a cheeky little grin on his maw. "It's gotten us stuck in the swamps more then once hasn't it?"
"Ignore the cat, his sense is just as bad. Too short to actually see where he's going..." He scowled at the cat before shifting his bags again before looking at Lattice hoping she could give him some kind of help in this.

Lattice smiled a little as she tilted her head down to watch the cat wind about her legs with the occasional nuzzle now and again. She leaned forward and petted the familiar gently on top of his fuzzy head as she listened for False's response. She seemed more cautious now somehow despite the fact that she was openly petting Sharpie she hadn't moved much closer to False than where she stood at the moment.
"A..Ah that is a shame. I know the Reaper Dorms well...I could show you?" She murmured softly as she glanced over where the boil stood. Lattice wasn't sure she could trust boils anymore much less anyone in authority.
The ghoul chuckled just a little at the interaction between the two, "Do not worry...I got lost often when I first got here."

Sharpie continued his route between and around Lattice's legs purring and bumping against her happily only stopping when she reached down to pat his head causing him to purr all the louder. So far the cat was perfectly happy with their new school. As he once put it 'lots of pretty Ghoulies to pet me' was the usual phrase.
"I'd really like that, yes, please," the reaper seemed more then happy to accept the help though his voice was a bit hesitant, as if he could feel the slight air of distrust she was having.
Sharpie by now was simply nestled beside Lattice waiting for the ghoul to lead head cocked slightly to the side, "I'm sure we'll be fine once we get settled in! Also do you know which way the library is?"

Quietly she nodded toward False and then smiled lightly down at Sharpie, "Of course I know where the library is," she replied as she looked back up at False again, "if you would follow me I will show you where everything is..."
Trailing off she looked toward the shapes of baggage that False seemed to have to carry, "I can lighten your load for you if you like. I do not mind carrying things."

"To the dorms then. So I can get rid of all these bags...." He paused for a moment frowning slightly, "Are you sure? I don't want to have you burdened or anything..." he glanced away slightly, cheeks turning red at the offer for help from a ghoul. It wasn't insulting just, awkward.
"Could you give me a general direction to the library I can pick stuff up to bring back to you all. I can find False easy enough." The small cat chirped from between the two, a perfectly timed interruption for False who was scuffing his boot in the ground trying to decide his next choice in words.

"I would not offer if I minded carrying things..." She said softly but then was distracted by Sharpie as he spoke up once more. Her masked gaze tilted down to the darling little feline as she smiled slightly and nodded, "Of course."
She pointed toward a general direction, "It is in that area, I am sure there is a sign that labels it easily enough for you to see," Lattice said to Sharpie. She couldn't see most of the things on campus unless it happened to be in ink for some reason or another.

"Well it just seems rude I hardly know you and you're a ghoul and all..." He shuffled his foot a bit glancing at the cat as well, he was a blessing and a curse and in this case maybe a blessing. He wasn't sure yet.
"Thank you Lattice," was the only chirp of a reply the cat gave, with that note he turned around trotting happily the way she pointed. Leaving a series of black inky paw prints in his wake.
Eventually it was just the two of them, False still carrying more bags then he needed to and Lattice staring at him. Slowly he lowered the two shoulder duffel bags dropping them into the dirt. "Alright I relent. You are my knight in shining armor here to aid me I guess." He huffs, "I still feel bad having a ghoul help me move all this..."

"I might be a ghoul and mostly a stranger but I can carry a few things," she smiled a bit at False, Lattice felt nervous the longer they stood out in the open and it was starting to show the way she was now glancing around.
The ghoul gave Sharpie a small fleeting smile and then moved to pick up the bag he dropped and carefully shouldered at least one of them. They weren't too heavy for her at least, "It is fine, we are friends, hm? Friends help each other. I am...glad to be your knight, False," she grinned just a little bit at him.
At least that was the impression the ghoul was under.

"Very true, but still considered rude where I am from to expect that of a ghoul." For the most part the duffle bags where spare robes and curtains for his dorm room.
"Well I guess we are friends. You are one of like... three people I've met since coming here. Yeah, three. The puppy girl with the panties on her head. Shehk I think was it, the Reaper Anna, and you; Lattice." He offered a half grin back before blushing slightly at the knight comment. Something was just. That was just odd, but in a good way? So he blushed some more when she started to grin about it.

Lattice paused at his observation about where he came from. Was it rude that she was helping him? It was too late now, "Where I come from we all help each other no matter the gender," she said softly as she just carried what she had gotten her hands on. She listened to him count the friends he'd made so far and nodded a bit.
"You will make more, you and Sharpie both I am sure," she said with some amount of confidence it was probably a good thing she couldn't see him blush otherwise it would have been doubly embarrassing for him.
After a few moments she started to take the lead since she needed to guide him.

"Well ummm I guess that's okay then really. I mean it's not a bad thing it's just odd for me?" He gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Some things are you know different where ya go in Halloween and I'm just kinda use to doing stuff myself and I would never ask a ghoul to do it for me if I couldn't help it...." He was rambling, he shut up very quickly looking around, oh look the sky, the ground, oh was that dirt? Dirt looked nice, lets stare awkwardly at it.
"The cat will most likely. I think ghouls are just fond of talking mini's so they'll eat him up just from that alone." He was still staring at the ground as he followed along behind her.
