As per Remarque's instruction Aubrey went home after he helped her exit mirror space and power down. She said goodnight to her sisters and made herself something to eat before showering to get rid of the saliva, sap, and mud left on her from the cat. Aubrey went about her tasks in a daze as her thoughts kept going back to what she had just gone through. What new changes would she have to deal with and she had many more unanswered questions that she hoped Remarque could clear up for her. About an hour later Aubrey made her way back out to the park where the cat had found her and changed her life forever. She had powered up in her paint shed before leaving. With a sigh she settled on the edge of a fountain, kicking her legs back and forth as she waited for Remarque to show up. Fortuna figured that it would take him longer to get cleaned as the cat had done far more damage to him then she has to Aubrey. She took the time to look around the park and noticed a lot of mirrors stashed about the park, something she would have found odd before she became a dark mirror senshi, now they just seemed convenient. Fortuna stared up at the starry sky for a moment before she closed her eyes as a cool wind began to blow through her hair. Absently she trailed her fingers through the water behind her as the splashing of the fountain lulled her into a peaceful quiet.

Mirrorwalking took such a phenomenal chunk of time out of Remarque's schedule; he had ample time to bathe, get a quick second dinner, chat with his mother and text Raven—and then get back to business. He'd made a pitstop in mirrorspace to collect a compact and shard for Fortuna and then stepped out of a mirror.
"Miss me?" he prompted from just a few yards away from the girl. He was almost exactly on time, so he couldn't assume she'd been waiting for too long. Either way, he didn't blame her for being excited. "Looks like you've got the powering up down pat. Ready to move on to some of the harder stuff or do you want to jump into the history lesson first?"

Fortuna looked up when she felt Remarque's power signature appeared behind her and to the left. She smiled slightly at her new teacher and nodded. "Of course, who else would tell me what had happened and what I'm supposed to do now?" She questioned with a smile. She stood up from the fountain and brushed off the back of her skirt. "I'd like to get the history lesson I guess, but first I have a quick question..." she said with a serious expression before a grin broke out on her lips. "Did you have to wash your outfit or did it become clean after you powered down and up?" she questioned kind of curious on how it worked.

"Gets clean all by itself," he replied simply enough. "I could have powered down there and powered back up to get myself cleaned off, but something about powering down in Mirrorspace seems like a bad idea. When you get a little stronger, you'll be able to stop there. That takes a lot of practice. From here on out, though, you can mirrorwalk—that is, step through any mirror and step out of another of your choice, provided you've been to the destination before. Any mirror you've ever looked in, any room you can recall—you can reach, instantaneously. But I suppose we'll get to that, later. As for now," he whistled and leaned back, taking a moment to figure out where to start. "…What can I say. You're now part of the Dark Mirror Court. There are other forces at work on this planet—specifically the White Moon Kingdom—who want to destroy us. They think they own this planet just because they've lost theirs. But you can't blame the White Moon Senshi. They are misguided, led by a queen who abandoned them long ago. The senshi do as they have been told, but the poor things. Brainwashed and lead astray. It is our duty to pull them over to our side—to convince them to join us. There are knights, but," he shrugged. "…We'll get to that later. We, in essence, are white moon senshi. Just better. Corrected. Free from their tyranny and ignorance. Our power comes from a different source—another universe, as it were. Is this too much to take in? I can slow it down, let you absorb it. Any questions about that, or shall I proceed?"

It was an interesting tidbit of information, she supposed magic would have its perks, and she would have to learn its downfalls as well. "Why was I chosen? I don't understand how that cat knew I was supposed to be Fortuna..." She sighed and shook her head, it was a lot to take in. For the most part she was an easy going girl, got along well with others, never really made that many enemies, and now all of a sudden she had all of these people to fight against? "I've heard of costumed people fighting on the news on occasion, but if we're supposed to be saving them, why would we fight?" She questioned looking up at him. It was so much to grasp and understand, another universe? Did she come from that universe and forget who she was? Was she always meant to be a senshi or did something happen to make it so. She had so many questions she hoped they could be answered.

"We fight because they give us no choice. It's do or die with some of them. There are those too daft, too foolish to be saved. Those hellbent on destruction—on repeating history. The White Moon senshi all, at one point in time, had some world of their own. They destroyed it. And now they have all culminated here on Earth—and do you know what that means?"
He was quiet for a moment to let it sink in before continuing, "That means that Earth is next on the list. Which means, if this planet means anything to you, you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Of course, on the flip side of that, the Dark Mirror Court has an additional aim—get out into space and set up a Utopia away from all the fighting. Going to start rebuilding what the last senshi destroyed. As to why you were chosen…" he shrugged. "Haven't you ever felt like you had a greater calling in life? Like you were destined for something greater than this?"
He didn't know exactly how or why a senshi was chosen, but he sure as hell didn't believe it was an accident. "The choices you've made, the life you've lived—all primed you for this. Maybe you were destined for it, but I'll tell you this much—the power is in your hands. Now it's up to you to use it. To fix the White Moon, to save this planet—this universe. It's a hefty job, but," he cracked a grin. "It comes with some great perks."

"How can they believe they are in the right if all they've done is destroy their worlds and will destroy this one? Don't they understand what they're doing?" Fortuna questioned with a frown. "Where will we make this utopia? How will we protect it from it being invaded by the white moon senshi?" She asked, sitting down on the edge of the fountain again. She supposed she had always felt that things weren't enough in her life, she did what she could to get by but had always felt like there was something more. She had always assumed it was a desire to get out of a small down and protect her family, but maybe it was more than that, maybe she was meant to help save the world. "What kind of perks are involved? And what exactly do we do?" She questioned looking up at him.

"You," Remarque said, cracking a grin, "have a lot of questions. Let me see if I can go back, touch on all of them."
He moved to the fountain and took a seat, figuring if he was going to be doing a Q&A, he might as well be comfortable for it. "They think they're in the right because no one wants to believe they're the bad guy. It's easier for them to remain in denial and place the blame on others than to deal with the fact that they screwed up—badly—in the past. They haven't learned from their past—yet. So it's our job to fix that before history repeats itself. Utopia, though, that's a good question, too."
He leaned back a bit; most of that part of the plan has been solely in Ares' hands, and she hadn't departed such knowledge onto them before her disappearance. "Somewhere away from here. Somewhere where it'll be safe. Even from them. Hopefully we'll be able to get them all to settle down and join us, but it's an arduous process. Don't give up, though. Gotta keep fighting. It's part of what we do—try to rehabilitate them and set them on a righter, freer course. As for perks," he mused for a few seconds, tapping a finger to his chin. "There's mirrorwalking—I showed you that shortcut before. Magic, blessed from you by your namesake. In your case, Fortuna. As long as you're powered up, you get pretty impressive boosts. Speed. Strength. There's still a lot of information to come, so don't let me drown you in it."
Remarque took the moment to pause—to let it sink in. This wasn't a big meeting like he'd gotten, and he wasn't going to make her do follow up after follow up in terms of figuring things out. He might not have known everything, but he was willing to let her know what he did know. The Dark Mirror Senshi needed active members—he wasn't going to let her slip through his fingers just because she didn't know what was going on.
