The bottle had laid in his dresser. Forgotten, un touched since Candace had spoken to him. Since all of that. But now? Now he stood before a marker. Bottle in hand eyes looking through a haze of tears and eyelashes. Sylvia was tucked against him a sling under his jacket holding her pressed to his side. Cold stone, comforting and yet painful pressed against him a reminder of how alone he suddenly felt looking at the marker with Ceres' name.

The shaking bottle slowly lifted to his lips as he tilted his head back, what was once a half a bottle had become a quarter. He stumbled to the side lowering the bottle looking at the marker again. She had been good to him, more then Rep had ever been. And here she was, cold and dead. Before he even figured out how to say he liked her.

Fingers tightened around the neck of the bottle as he continued to sway before the marker before dropping to his knees running his fingers over the name.

"I have... no one." He mumbled rubbing at his cheek. "Reps ********... he'd kill me as soon as... even care he called you an idiot a monster... and your dead!" He looked at Bix's grave next, "We fought a dragon you idiot and we lived! And you went and died!" He turned back to Ceres fingers running over the name again. "I can't talk to Jordan... Candace is... I don't even know..." He continued to stare at the name, fingers twisting and tugging at the bottle debating another long drink.

They weren't going to be on mission again until the weapons were back; therefore, Jordan hadn't hesitated to clear out his mission bag for Ferros. He'd conceded the necessity of having his hands free, but he didn't like putting the tablet down. He'd shortened the strap so that the bag hung against his lower back, the tablet's shape and weight pressing there. Cold comfort, but comfort nonetheless.

He paused at the edge of the graveyard when he saw that there was already someone at the new graves. Should he leave them to their thoughts? A second look showed him that it was Ro, and that Ro held a bottle, and that the guy was tense and taut and hunched in on himself in a way that made Jordan frown.

He let his boots rustle in the grass as he moved to stand near Ro, not saying anything, but stopping within Ro's peripheral vision.

For a moment Ro didn't notice. His eyes where locked on that piece of stone. Bottle clenched to his stomach. His mind rolling over things again and again. Eventually he started to sing again, the process caused him to tug Sylvia around in her sling pulling her free to tug her close to his chest.

Foreign odd, and depressing the song continued for a moment before Ro placed the tablet at the edge of his knees holding the drink out to Jordan without a word.

This was not the time to make any comments about alcohol as a coping mechanism. When it came down to it, actually, Jordan felt he could stand a little fuzzing of the edges himself. Maybe it would blunt the ache. He took the bottle, drank, and handed it back. Then he sat down on the grass himself, pulling the shoulder bag around under his coat to rest on his lap, his hand resting briefly on the flat shape of the tablet through the fabric of the bag.

"Did she sing that?" he asked finally.

The bottle slid back and Ro's fingers curled around it once more and placed it aside his fingers tracing over Sylvia again before nodding.

"Yeah... one of... many."

Silence filled the air for a while. Broken only by the slosh of liquid and the rustle of the wind.

"I liked her Jordan... she. She was kind. She helped me."

"Ceres? Yeah." Jordan studied the grave marker, his expression distant and quiet. "She was a good person."

After a moment he picked up the bottle again, took another mouthful, set it down. "Wish I'd known her better. Not enough time to know everyone."

Roland continued his silence when Jordan spoke shaking his head a bit. "I think I liked her too much..." He scooped up the tablet front of him. "Sylvia knew it. She used to tease me about it... She was sweet and nice I just... Rep called her a monster that she was weak and Sylvia she... she couldn't help me save her."

He picked up the tablet shaking slightly. "All I have left is Canadace and you and I Just... I can't I can't do this."

Jordan studied Ro quietly. "She wasn't human anymore, at the end," he said. "Maybe none of us are quite fully human due to the weapons. But she couldn't have come home with us like that. And having our weapons asleep, not helping ... " He reached over to rest a hand on Ro's shoulder. "I'm sorry, dude."

"Rep was wrong. He would have stopped if it was you. He would have screamed. Raged killed everything he could but not if it was you." The words where slow and tinted by the whiskey as Roland spoke fingers tracing Sylvia once more.

Suddenly a hand was on his shoulder and at first it caused him to jump but eventually he calmed down before leaning away.

"Don't... You know. You know exactly what will happen because of us being here. He'll blow up at me again. like he always does."

Jordan let his hand fall back to rest on the bag that held Ferros. "He was wrong," he acknowledged quietly. "If it'd been someone I loved, I don't know what I would've done." He looked at his hands. "All I know," he said, "is that if I turned into something like that ... I'd want to be ended quickly, if I couldn't die a human."

His stomach twisted with worry, with annoyance and a tinge of fear; Ro was right, Rep's jealousy made it dangerous for Jordan to touch others. Rep wouldn't take it out on him. He'd take it out on whoever Jordan had forgotten not to touch. Something had to be done about that. He just had no idea what.

Ferros, he whispered into the horrible silence in his head. Ferros, I need you. Without the dragon's steadying presence and stubborn common sense, he was adrift on uncertain waters, trying to hold others up while he struggled to stay afloat himself.

"Well get that through the idiots head... preferably while he doesn't have Tracey to save his stupid a**..." the words where harsh and true, now more then ever would be a good time to knock sense into the psychopath.

Again he raised the bottle inspecting the last of the whiskey inside before tilting his head back for the final drink before tossing the bottle aside with a dull thump.

"Sometimes... I think being dead, or still in the pod... would be better then all of this."

Jordan sighed, but didn't argue the point. Rep was an idiot a fair amount of the time. He could recognize that. It didn't change what he felt, and that made things complicated.

At Ro's second statement, though, he looked over at the shorter man, studying his face. "I'd be lying if I said I'd never thought that," he admitted. His hand pressed flat against the shape of Ferros's tablet. "Usually the voice in my head tells me I'm being emo and I should stop. God, I miss him. I don't know how much longer I can cope with the silence."

He stopped, realizing that he'd said all that. He hadn't had much alcohol, but hard liquor and an empty stomach had combined to hit him faster than he'd thought.

Ro didn't press the point about Rep any farther. Though he wanted too. In some ways he had lost two friends, one in the ground and the other he couldn't bare to be around since the first ones death. It left him with Jordan and Candace, and the first of those would likely take Rep as a boyfriend before anything else.

"Finally make some friends, think I might be able to enjoy some of the short life I have here... and now ones dead, the other hates me more then half the time." Brown eyes shifted to the side watching Jordan for a moment weighing what he said but not really reading into it thinking Jordan was giving something away by mistake.

"Try loosing your living ipod.... it's not just not having someone there... its quiet. More quiet then you can imagin. She was never silent. Ever...."

Jordan leaned his elbows on his knees, half slumped over, the corners of his mouth pulling down in an unhappy curve. "Sorry, dude," he said quietly. Guilt cut at him, and he didn't know how to make it go away. Part of the problem was him. Why couldn't anything be simple?

He shook his head. "No," he said. "I do know. Ferros rumbles constantly, like an engine on low, and there's a soft hiss like breathing. It hasn't been quiet in my head for over a year, and it makes it really ******** hard to think."

"Like sorry is going to bring Ceres back..." he muttered. He didn't mean to hurt Jordan but he was upset, he was angry. If Rep stormed into the graveyard right now he would likely try to punch him weapon or not. He wanted to scream at someone, but who? Who could he yell at for being the guilty party here?

So he remained silent, till Jordan spoke again. "Lot worse then a few months I guess...." He tucked his own knees up under his chin, they where wet, the grass was damp as usual from a light mist and fog that seemed to float over the island as the weather became colder.

"So what do I do now."
