Anomaly hopped. From one hoofprint to the next. They were far too big for him to actually reach, but somewhere in his youthful mind he had convinced himself that he hadn't missed a step yet. Plus, this was fun. An odd sort of way to start the day...

Sloane quirked a brow at the little usdia but said nothing about his antics. The hopping was kinda cute and the young foal seemed to be enjoying himself. Xanti didn't seem perturbed by his little follower and so there was no threat there... and it was amusing to watch for a while. But it was early yet and Sloane hoped the young-in didn't tire himself out early on. It was still so early that dew covered every leaf in the forest and the sun had barely risen.

They had been traveling deeper into the forest these last couple of weeks. Further and further Xanti had been leading them, into the depths of the old growth forest. Maples and oaks towered towards the sky, canopy thick with spring buds. Beams of sunlight somehow managed to pass through the new leaves and light the forest. It was pretty really. And promising. The spring sun didn't carry the same heat as it would later in the year so it would make a good day for walking. Or hopping.

Drith yawned tiredly. She was at the front of the group, though in reality it was truly Xanti who was leading the group. She was just idly walking and every now and then she'd glance back at him to make sure she was on track. And every now and then she'd glance back to glare at her son. The abomination. Not that he ever noticed. The rest of the time she spent nodding in agreement. Not that she agreed with anything Whisk had to say but mainly because she had stopped listening long ago.

"I think it's cause green dragonfly's are smarter then blue ones. You know what I mean?" Whisk asked exuberantly.

Drith nodded.

"Of couuurse you know what I mean, you allllwways know what I mean, I bet it's cause you're so smart, and pretty and - ..."

Xanti growled under his breath. He was stuck behind the annoying one and she was rambling on once again. He was tempted to eat her and be done with it...but then Drith would be angered and he didn't particularly want that either. But the little creature was so bloody loud he wouldn't be surprised if she had scared all the creature's in the forest off.

And then there would be no meat.

Xanti's belly rumbled a small remainder that a new day had dawned and that it was empty. Xanti clenched and unclenched his jaws several times before lifting his head up to sent the wind.

Sloane caught the sound of Xanti's stomach and slowed his pace a bit. He was still unsure of the large carnivore, uncertain whether the canine would suddenly get bored of hunting and just chew up his companions instead. Luckily Sloane had taken his 'dose' several days earlier so practicality was the main emotion ruling his head.

"Anomaly. It's time."

Anomaly paused to look back at the healer. "Hmm? 'lready?"

Sloane nodded. Then pitched his voice to carry. "Drith. It's time."

Drith nodded absentmindedly.

Sloane sighed, exasperated and raised his voice a little louder."Drith. It's time."
