The local cafe wasn't packed at this time of night, but there were a few patrons dotted here and there so that the establishment wasn't completely empty. Only two waitresses/baristas were working at that time, so slipping in and looking normal was easy. Christa was never into coffee so she thought about ordering water so she might be able to sleep that night. But with everything that just happened, she doubted she would be able to sleep anyway. The teen turned to look over her shoulder, making sure Albali and her fluffy cargo were still behind her. She needed all the help she could get with this new vocation that was sprung on her, and so many questions that needed answering... No doubt she was annoying to Albali right now, but it was understandable in Christa's view.

Once they were cleared for seating, the group selected a booth near the back of the cafe making talking without eavesdropping much easier. The other patrons were towards the front, sitting at the bar on stools made in the 1950's. Christa thought they may be truckers, and just yesterday she would have thought to avoid them. But with the power invested in her by one fluffy kitten, she felt she could take on things that she would normally steer clear of.

Speaking of the kitten... where did she go?

Leaning across the table, Christa looked worried. "Alb--- I mean, um... I don't think I caught your name. I'm Christa, in case I didn't mention that before. But where... is Derpraline?" The waitress walked up to them with menus and Christa quieted then, nodding her thanks to the server. Once the waitress left again, the teen started flipping through the menu. "I'm not sure I can eat tonight..."
