So I had this dream last night, and it had me pondering it's meaning all day.

In the dream I was in New York with a man. We had a child, and we were well protected, by where we lived and I believe by some people that we both knew as friends {kinda like the Akatsuki or something]. But we had our enemies as well, and one day while our baby slept [i believe the baby was a girl, and in my memory she appeared as either a toddler or an infant], the man came in with a flyer and showed it to me. It was like a job application, but it was a sign up for our enemies, advertising an attack/meeting, but me and the man {who i assume is my husband because of us both having the the child] knew it would be an attack on us and our child. It was scheduled for April 24, which I registered in my mind as the day i have a Seussical performance {and in real life I actually have one that day}. So I told him that I would have to fly back to California for the performance, and he asked about the baby. I told him that she'd be safer with him because of the protection he hand around him, and then I left the lofty like apartment, and went out to the streets, and it was deserted and for some reason i ended up at a taco bell to get food for the both of us, and then i woke up.

But the thing is, I've wanted a baby for a while. I've written about it, thought about it, discussed it with my current boyfriend, and such, but of course, am too young to have one. And I couldn't remember how the man looked. Why is this? Any help is really appreciated.

Well, a common theme in dreams is protecting a child. To see a baby in your dream, signifies innocence, warmth and new beginnings. Babies symbolize something in your own inner nature that is pure, vulnerable, helpless and/or uncorrupted. If you find a baby in your dream, then it suggests that you have acknowledged your hidden potential. To save a child, signifies your attempts to save a part of yourself from being destroyed. To dream that you have a husband (but you do not in your waking life), symbolizes some sort of partnership and/or commitment. Often, it is also representative of the qualities of your father in which you projected onto this figure or the masculine side of your own personality. Would you say you were paranoid, seeing enemies wherever you went? Or do you think you were betrayed by the man with the flyer? To dream that you are paranoid, indicates your hesitance in moving forward in some situation or relationship. You are not ready for that major step in your life and are overcome with fear and suspicion. To dream that you have been betrayed, represents your suspicions about a particular person, relationship or situation. This dream often occurs when you are having feelings of insecurity and are faced with major commitments in your life at the same time. The apartment symbolizes a financial or situational state. To dream of a large, lavish apartment indicates a large increase to your income or an improvement to your family life. To dream of a shabby and dark apartment, indicates misfortune and possible loss of a lover or money. To see a city in your dream, signifies a sense of community and your social environment. To dream that you are in a deserted city or that you feel alienated from the activity of the city, then it suggests that you feel rejected by those around you. Though there are a lot of conflicting messages in this dream, I think it's telling you to stay where you are. Especially about the having a baby part.

My turn to share! The dream I had last night was really, really strange. Even more strange because I usually don't dream and never have nightmares. Anyway, has anyone ever participated in DI? There was a competition going on in my dream similar to that, but I don't remember why I made that connection. Anyway, we were a team of four. There was me, a shortish orphan-like kid, my twelve-year-old kid brother, and an emo boy. For some reason, the small kid and I were late for the competition. Our team had already started into this obstacle course like thing. The gate was about to close, but the orphan kid an I squeezed in. Actually, it looked for a second like the orphan kid, who I have no idea why he's an orphan, turned into a mouse to get through. Anyway, this place looked like hell. It wasn't anything like a DI competition at all. (DI is about problem solving, improv and acting, basically. There's no physical activity really involved.) There was fire and brimstone, it was dark, but the orphan kid knew they way. He led me past every trap. There was this part where we went up this never-ending spiral staircase, and dodged the trapdoor, and I remember thinking, if we hadn't been late, we would have gotten a perfect score. Then came the dragon. Orphan boy knew how to defeat it, by turing off the switch, then he took it it's huge glass eyeball and put it on the crystal ball stand. Suddenly, we could see the way to the end! We hurried on, but we still couldn't find our comrades. Then, the end. It was pitchblack, but I knew the room, because it was exactly the same as our upstairs gameroom. I sat on the couch, and a hand grabbed my ankle. I shouted to orphan boy to turn on the end table lamp. We saw our team lying on the modern art carpet no moving. Then they got up and started for us, like zombies. I yelled to orphan boy to equip our shields, and this is where it gets even weirder. Black, scaly armor quickly covered me head to toe, but orphan boy got scratched before he could. He started convulsing, then he became a zombie now too. Except I realized they were more like vampires, because the really tall emo boy sucked on his bloody fingers and moaned. They all went for me, and I had a huge hand-and-a-half sword, but I didn't want to kill my friends. So, I went into this crazy over-exaggerated Taekwondo attack. (I actually am a green belt, but I was using like, 5th degree black belt moves) Orphan boy grabbed both of my wrists, but I did this self-defense thing where you basically swing your arms out and headbut them. Somehow, it knocked him unconscious, and I quickly tied him up. Then the other ones charged and I ran with orphan boy on my back who was really light. Somehow, I found a treasure chest with sparkly lights around it, which I opened. It had a syringe, which I stabbed into orphan boy. He moaned, and returned to normal. Then I had to help him untie himself, and then he equipped his armor too. He grabbed another syringe and went after my idiot brother. When I tried to stab the emo boy however, he was to tall, so I stabbed his thigh instead. And, the funny thing is, his skinny jeans made it easier. Anyway, we got out of the maze, but there was no one there. I swear, we were standing in Detroit. No idea why Detroit. I've never been there, but it was definitely a post-apocalyptic dystopian city. There was a crumbling factory nearby, which we hid in. Then I woke up. Pretty weird huh? I think I was heavily influenced by videogames.

Okay, I don't know if I'll get this right at all. In fact, I have very little confidence that I'll get it right. Your first view is of the game, correct? It could represent life and routine and what it represents to you. The orphan boy could an idea or emotion of some sort that dominates your mind. A kind of guide of ideals that you put little significance in at first, but then manifested as significant. The emo boy could represent a more emotional side ideal, and your kid brother could represent this all coming into one person that represents either someone you see as a brother. All the obstacles on the course could represent obstacles in the future or something like that. When they turn into vampires, it could represent an unexpected turn-around, and when the orphan boy activates the armor, it could represent a kind of insecurity, and when they are cured, it could mean that you shelter them from something. After that, the apocolyptic scene could mean chaos erupts. Like I said, I'm not too sure about the interpretation.

That's great! I don't take myself too seriously, so I usually just pass things like this off as too many videogames, but I wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks!

It was no problem at all. I'm no dream guru, but I hoped that at least might have given you an idea of what other people might think(although I also think it was heavily influenced by video games xP).
